I needed a way to show off beautiful large-scale prints in my quilt. As I designed, I kept coming back to a medallion quilt with pieced borders. In each pieced border I used the large prints on both sides of the pieced units so the borders would float on top. I designed this quilt using triangles for all of the units, and then simplified the construction when actually sewing.
