I sketched my first idea on graph paper, but it didn't come together in fabric. So I used the units I had already made to build this quilt bit-by-bit, making design decisions one at a time and creating more units as needed. I'm going to make scalloped edges and round corners to finish it off with a bit of softness. I'm a Denyse Schmidt fan, and I really enjoyed working with her Chicopee fabrics from FreeSpirit.
