My mom taught me to sew when I was a young girl. I was out of college when I decided to make my first quilt--I bought books and magazines thinking it can't be that much different from making clothes. I quickly learned that I had a lot to learn! Now I don't make clothes anymore, but love to make quilts--especially purple, batiks, teal, stripes and bright colors.
