July/Flag

Flaunt your fever for the Fourth of July with this patriotic patchwork. This mini red, white and blue morsel was designed by Quiltmaker artist Theresa Eisinger, and would make a great wallhanging, pillowtop or potholder when enlarged.

To complete your July/Flag block, pull some patriotic reds, whites, and blues from your favorite stash. Piece each section in numerical order. Then, with a light source behind, trace any embroidery details on the front of the block. Remove paper and embroider as needed. For more information on foundation piecing, check our online Tips and Techniques.

Pattern measures 3 1/2" wide, including seam allowances.
Patterns are the reverse of the finished block.

Caution! Due to variations in equipment and settings, we cannot guarantee patterns will print out at the intended size. Please check printed patterns and motifs against the measurements given and, if necessary, enlarge or reduce to the appropriate size. We regret that some printers may cause distortions in the motifs during printing. If you'd prefer, download the PDF file (63 K) for this pattern.
