memory quilt

I am looking for pattern suggestions for a memory quilt. My mom recently passed away and I have several articles of clothing we didn't want to part with. They are a variety of fabrics--not just cotton.

Most scrap quilt patterns do very well for this purpose.
A block with a simple four patch next to a block that is solid would work well. Example:
Patches cut 3" for the four patch put next to a solid block cut 5 1/2"
