<p>Knowing my love for taking pictures, they thought this would be a good time to plan ahead for the Christmas family photo, and I couldn&#8217;t resist showing it off.</p>
<div id="attachment_200" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 260px"><img class="size-full wp-image-200" src="http://www.quiltmaker.com/blogs/quiltypleasures/files/2009/06/daisy1.jpg" alt="daisy1 Happy Day!" width="250" height="198" title="Happy Day!" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Daisy</p></div>
<p>Emily was paging through one of my quilt magazines and showed me a quilt she would like to make. Of course, I was thrilled. All three of my boys have been exposed to quilting, but none have expressed a desire to make more than a pillow. Quiltmaker had sponsored a LRN2QLT day a couple years ago, and I had invited Emily and my youngest son Tim to the event. We provided the materials and showed a group of young adults how to make a simple pillowcase, patchwork pillow and rag quilt.</p>
<div id="attachment_202" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 260px"><img class="size-full wp-image-202" src="http://www.quiltmaker.com/blogs/quiltypleasures/files/2009/06/tim-and-emily.jpg" alt="tim and emily Happy Day!" width="250" height="167" title="Happy Day!" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Tim and Emily</p></div>
<p>Emily  has certainly found the way to my heart, and I&#8217;m excited to help her!</p>
<p>Do you know a young adult who is interested in learning to quilt? Follow QM&#8217;s <a href="http://www.quiltmaker.com/articles/lrn2qlt">LRN2QLT</a> program for ideas and patterns.</p>
