We’re so excited to kick off our 100 Blocks Vol. 14 Blog Tour! We have five full days of quilting fun planned for you, all celebrating the release of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol. 14. This new edition of 100 Blocks includes 100 new creative quilt blocks from today’s top designers. The issue will be on newsstands November 14th, and will also be available in our online shop. We hope you’ll join us each day this week, November 14-18, as we dive into the issue with quilt block previews, designer inspiration and lots of great giveaways!

Layered Lanterns: QM associate editor Gigi Khalsa designed this vibrant and intriguing block. Aren’t those watercolor-like fabrics she used gorgeous? They are from the Vincent Van Gogh 2 fabric collection by the Van Gough Museum for Robert Kaufman Fabrics.

    Hill Street Quilt’s Chicken Foot block is beautiful if very challenging! I love the traditional, old-fashioned look of thsi block.

    I always love these blog hops. First to see all the wonderful blocks, and then to meet the people that have designed them It is always such fun. I really liked the Chicken Foot block by Katheryn Patterson. It is such a beautiful block and I would like to fill the center with a paperpieced flower. What fun it will be to make this block and then share it with someone else. Isn’t that the treat of Quilting? Thank you.

    Great blocks! I really love Yvonne’s Radiating Star and Susan’s Dresden Framed. Kathy’s Chicken Foot block is another favorite…the center is a great place to add some embroidery.
