You may have noticed a number of Christmas quilt tops in Quiltmaker’s July/August issue, on newsstands now.
The quilt tops included two in fabrics from Timeless Treasures, and they are real beauties. This frosty version of Fresh Fleurs is shown in Tonga Snow Angel batiks from Timeless Treasures.
A reindeer motif was fussy cut for each of the dark blue patches. A holiday quilt doesn’t have to be red and green! I love the icy blues. Deborah Bahr-Johnson’s block design is versatile—by twisting, turning or offsetting it, a variety of looks are created. See some of them on page 27 of this issue.
This quilt top will be part of a Christmas in July prize package which will also include many other fabulous quilt treasures. There will be six prize package winners in addition to the two grand prize winners. Contest details and entry form.
This quilt top called Round of Nines is also made in Timeless Treasures fabrics. We used assorted red and green prints plus Soho Solids for a more traditionally-colored Christmas project. Isn’t it festive? The quilt was designed by Natalia Bonner, and the piecing is easy. We’ve figured yardage for everything from a wall quilt to a king size; see page 40 of this issue.
This quilt top will also be in one of the Christmas in July prize packages awarded to a lucky quilter—could be you, so please take a moment to enter the contest today.
Quiltmaker gratefully acknowledges Timeless Treasures and its sponsorship of Christmas in July.
