More on Fold and Sew
Simply put, Fold and Sew is a technique using precuts to create a wide variety of quilt blocks with no additional cutting. It’s revolutionary, it’s ingenious and it’s fun!
This is Points Out. It’s made with a 2.5″ strip, a 10″ square, and 10 2.5″ squares (common precut sizes). No additional cutting required! Peg repeated this block to create a Christmas tree quilt. I think it would make a great scrap quilt. Find complete instructions in Quiltmaker’s Sept/Oct issue.
Look what happens when you put Arrow blocks together and quilt them. Kind of amazing, isn’t it?!
This is just the tip of the iceberg. Pull out any regular 2014 issue of Quiltmaker to see Peg’s Fold and Sew column with complete block instructions, and visit our Fold and Sew page for more inspiration.
Carolyn Beam will teach a Fold and Sew table runner at Quilting LIVE‘s Make-It Center. And if you enter the giveaway as described above, you could be there to0—as our guest!
