Hasn’t it been fun to see what different designers did with Home Sweet Home? If you’ve been following Quiltmaker’s Parade of Homes, you’ve seen several so far.
I really like this block. Carrie took the liberty of adding curtains to the windows—with polka dots to boot.
And see the tiny little house numbers she added? Just adorable! I like the circular window she put in the front door, too.
One of the best things I saw at quilt market in May was Carrie’s Little Bites patterns. They’re designed for using 2.5″ squares, which means you can use 2.5″ precut squares, or you can cut 2.5″ precut strips into squares. Very efficient!
The small quilts these patterns make are unspeakably cute, as are their names: Slice, Scintilla, Trace, Titch, Ort, Whit, Grain and Sample.
See all of the Little Bites patterns on Carrie’s retail site.
Now for the giveaway: For your chance to win Carrie’s house block and a copy of our Sept/Oct issue, leave a comment before midnight on Wednesday, August 20. We’ll choose a random winner and announce it here. The winner is #7, Diane H.
Remember to stop by Carrie’s blog, too! Always something fun going on there.
