Country Baskets quilting motif

This quilting motif called Country Baskets is free for the taking. It would be cute quilted between house blocks.

This block called Baby House is free for the taking. I’ve made a few dozen of these in just a few evenings.

Baby House Block

I framed each one with 1.5″ strips.  I’m thinking of making it king size because they’re so much fun. It’s going to be a good scrap quilt.

These aren’t sewn together yet, they’re just grouped on my design wall. If bright fabrics aren’t your thing, you could do them in less garish colors and they’d look sweet and homey.

Please visit the Parade of Homes page so you get in on all the fun and freebies.

We’re giving away all 12 of these amazing blocks!

About Diane Harris

I'm an editor for Quiltmaker magazine in Golden, Colorado, USA. For six years, I wrote pattern instructions, product reviews and how-to articles. Then I spent four years as QM's Interactive Editor, working to generate much of our online content. Now I'm back to patterns and how-tos, which is a great fit for me. I still love writing about quilt-related topics for Quilty Pleasures, and I always have my finger on the pulse of the quilting world. I teach a variety of quilt classes and give guild programs, too.
