Quiltmaker Sept/Oct ’14

QM Content Director Carolyn Beam included three beautiful house quilts in the pages of Sept/Oct ’14. Three quilts make a theme: Parade of (Quilted) Homes!

Parkview Lane: We have convenient kits available. Pattern in Quiltmaker’s Sept/Oct issue.

Parkview Lane is the cover quilt. It’s based on a block design by Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet. (If you haven’t discovered Lori, oh my, you’re in for a treat. Please tell her Quiltmaker sent you.) We have convenient kits for Parkview Lane.

Home Sweet Home by Lori Holt for Quiltmaker’s 100 Block Volume 8

Lori’s Home Sweet Home block first appeared in Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Volume 8. Isn’t it precious? We’re going to have some serious fun with this block during Parade of Homes!

Row Houses by Paula Stoddard. Pattern in QM’s Sept/Oct issue.

Row Houses by Paula Stoddard is another great design in this issue. I adore that American flag. If you’re from another country, you could customize the flag however you like. The Canadian flag would look great in there!

Home Sweet Home by Carolyn Beam. Pattern in QM’s Sept/Oct issue.

The third house quilt in this issue is Home Sweet Home by Carolyn Beam. I just love this classic beauty. What a great twist on a traditional schoolhouse block!

Breaking news: We’ve recently made all our patterns available individually. If you’d like just one of these, you can get them instantly. Each image is linked to its purchase page. Of course if you’re a subscriber or you buy the issue on the newsstand, all of these patterns are included.

Get in on all the Parade of Homes fun by coming back tomorrow for the Designer Showcase. What’s the Designer Showcase? Well…
