About Diane Harris

I'm an editor for Quiltmaker magazine in Golden, Colorado, USA. For six years, I wrote pattern instructions, product reviews and how-to articles. Then I spent four years as QM's Interactive Editor, working to generate much of our online content. Now I'm back to patterns and how-tos, which is a great fit for me. I still love writing about quilt-related topics for Quilty Pleasures, and I always have my finger on the pulse of the quilting world. I teach a variety of quilt classes and give guild programs, too. Reach me by email: editor@quiltmaker.com.

New, so beginner :) Thanks for a chance to win :)

  4. Laura says:

I’m leaning towards being more of a beginning quilter. I haven’t finished much or attempted anything too difficult.

  5. Rhonda Desgranges says:

I am an intermediate quilter. I had to relearn how to quilt after having a stroke. I had to learn how to write and walk again. I am so thankful that I can hold a needle!

  6. Julie T says:

I am an intermediate quilter. Thanks!

  7. Maureen Skau says:

Thanks for sponsoring the giveaway..It’s always fun to try and win free stuff :-) !

  8. kbo says:

    I’m an intermediate quilter.

I am an intermediate quilter but I am still learning something new in the quilting world everyday!!

  10. Pat Evans says:

    I’m an intermediate quilter.

  11. Carla G says:

I’m between beginner & intermediate quilter. :) Thanks for a chance to win! :)

  12. Emily C says:

I am between beginner and intermediate. I am just starting, but I love some of the more advanced techniques, such as applique.

  13. Karen Ann says:

    I’m an enthusiastic beginner!!

  14. Kiska says:

I would be a beginner/intermediate…. some things I have never done but others I’m getting fairly proficient.

  15. Linda Yeager says:

Beginning to intermediate: there are still so many different ways to “quilt”, I’ll never become proficient in them all!

  16. Sherrye says:

Usually I would rate myself an intermediate….but I like trying new things which turns me into a beginner!!!

  17. I’m an intermediate quilter. Thanks for the great blog hop!

  18. Virginia Beecher says:

Definitely beginning, but can’t wait to get started.

  19. I would say I am past the beginner stage, but I still have a lot to learn.

  20. Pam C says:

    i am an intermediate quilter.

  21. Barbara D says:

I’m not quite a beginner, but not quite intermediate. I’m comfortable with rotary cutting and machine piecing. Still haven’t tackled complicated blocks, though. Really want to learn more about quilting with a sewing machine.

Love these Blocks magazines. Have just recently discovered and purchased them.

Thanks for the blog tour and the opportunities to win prizes.

    Barbara from Canada

  22. Damaris B. says:

I am a beginner quilter. I may be ready to move into the intermediate stage, but kind of like the easy blocks, as they are quicker to piece together. I need to be a more patient quilter, as there are some designs that are beautiful, but I am chicken to try.

  23. Loriann says:

I would say I am a beginning quilter. I love to read about more advanced techniques.

  24. Belinda Wright says:

    love that snow star!!!

  25. Colette says:

Depends on who you ask. I say there is never enough to know about quilting so I rate myself as an intermediate. My friends and family would rate me much higher. Somebody like Ricky Tims or Eleanor Burns would probably rate me as a beginner. Either way, you just gotta have fun and be happy with what you do; not what everybody else thinks you should do.

  26. Darlene B says:

I would say I am in the intermediate to advanced category. I find that every time I do a pattern, I make some changes to it to make it unique!

  27. Vicky Murray says:

beginner only learnt how to thread a machine this time last year¬

  28. Kathie says:

I think I’m a beginner to intermediate quilter. I’ve been sewing forever but have quilted only 2 years :-) !
