I love the pace of these! My favorite part was how you showcase different layouts at the end ;)

  2. Thank you so much for these videos and instructions for making the blocks. I am currently teaching three young women the fundamentals of quilting and these are such an inspiration t these ladies. They love the bright, vibrant and modern colours.

  3. Kaye M. says:

I enjoyed your video, you spoke clearly and didn’t rush so I could easily follow all the steps to make the butterfly block. I also like seeing all the various settings that provide lots of inspiration!

  4. Judy says:

I think the videos are fantastic and so easy to understand and follow. This is going to be a great great go to reference site for learning to make various blocks. Thank you so much for putting this together.

  5. Emily C says:

Love the videos. I am still ‘new to quilting’ and love the easy to understand walkthrough that both ladies did of these blocks. The butterflies are a personal favorite, they are so beautiful in fabric and out in the wild. I wish you had these a couple of years ago when I began quilting.

  6. Kris says:

The step by step photos are great and I really like the different setting and color options that you showed us.

  7. Michele says:

  9. Deanna says:

Videos are helpful on blocks such as this with an “action” element in the piecing. Such are hard to show with still pictures.

  10. LizaA says:

I’m a visual learner so I appreciate your videos to demonstrate the steps involved in piecing the blocks. My favorite — showing the different design options. I am always amazed by the different looks achieved by simply rotating the blocks. Looking forward to next Monday’s video!

  11. I really enjoyed watching the videos. I have seen the methods, but your videos not only show them clearly, but you explain each step as you go and I don’t get lost in the process. This is the first time that I actually watched the whole video, well done and look forward to seeing more.

  12. Sandy A in St. Louis says:

I love that these are short videos that get straight to the point of the project. I also enjoy seeing all the different setting options. It is amazing how changing the layout changes the look!

  13. Becky Greene says:

I love that you put the cutting instructions on the screen – so much easier than trying to listen for a string of measurements. I also loved all the variants for layouts, colorways, and sashing that you included. Keep it up!

  14. Carmen says:

I need these tutorials! Thank you!

  15. Lisa Marie says:

Beginners could really benefit from the instructions on making the blocks. More advanced quilters will especially enjoy the alternate layouts that are shown. I’ve read Quiltmaker magazine for years and I like getting to watch some of the magazine staff giving the demos. Looks like a fun place to work.

  16. Jeanne says:

Thanks for the videos. Visual learning is always good

  17. LINDA says:

Hello, Quiltmaker’s Block Network is so refreshing & informative! I’m looking forward to next Mondays episode 3. Enjoyed episode 2. Episode 1 ended halfway thru, I will return again, to hopefully finish the episode. Thank-you for this fun giveaway!

  21. Linda Webster says:

Clear instructions presented in a very pleasant manner. I think the Block Network will be a very useful addition to help with projects I use from the 100 Blocks magazine. Thanks!

  22. Karlene says:

    Fun and inspirational. Good idea.

  23. kaholly says:

Excellent resource for beginner quilters and old timers alike! A great compliment to the magazine.

  24. marian says:

Great videos! Showing the different layouts possible is extremely inspirational.

  25. Laura G says:

I love how quickly the blocks are shown and how quickly they seem to go together. It’s great that we’re told where the block is from too. I’m glad the link is included.

  26. VickiT says:

The videos are great as they’re short and to the point while still being very explanatory. It’s refreshing to have access to something like these videos to compliment the 100 Blocks magazines I’ve been collecting, especially if a video is done on something I may not totally understand from reading the written instructions. I’m more of a visual learner so this will be a great help to me. The magazines have great pictures too, but there’s something about watching a to the point video watching something explained. I love that these are nice and short this way.
I’m not sure, of course, what you’ve got planned as far as any schedule for videos, or if they will be all from the 100 Blocks issues, but I’d like to see some from all the issues and not an entire series in a row all from one of them. That would keep my interest more rather than to show a series of videos all from one issue before moving on to another. I hope that makes sense.

  27. n moir says:

I enjoyed this new feature, thanks for the inspiration,, It had already given me some great ideas.

  28. gab says:

Enjoyed the videos. Good way to use up scraps!

  29. Karen Mckee says:

For a new quilter like myself, these are great…so detailed and easy to follow. Very interesting….the only thing wrong is that its so hard to make a decision about what
block to make….but its fun getting lots of new ideas. Thanks!!!

  30. Tammy says:

Great videos for a newbie like me. Very explanatory…Thank you I have been needing videos like these to help me learn.

  31. Robbin says:

I think these videos are the perfect compliment to the 100 Block magazine! Thanks for the inspiration.

  32. Karen says:

I’m really enjoying the Quiltmaker’s Block Network. These are new blocks for me, and I especially like the Butterfly block. I appreciate the step by step tutorials as a quilter who is trying to take the next step from 4 and 9 patches! I look forward to the next block.
    Thanks!

  33. donna says:

I like the idea of asort of refreshing course on some blocks that I have not made for a while.

  34. Barb Johnson says:

I tried to watch the videos, but I received an error when I clicked on each one. It may be an issue with the computer I’m using. I’ll try again later tonight on my home computer. Regardless, I think that this is a great idea, and I appreciate that Quiltmaker is taking the time to record the segments and post them!

  35. Anita says:

The videos are educational and thorough. I hope that you will show more challenging blocks, later.

  36. Quilting Tangent says:

Maybe you can show some more complex blocks in up coming shows.
