You’re invited to join us for free how-to videos featuring block designs from Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks. Each Monday a new video will be posted. A staff member walks you step by step through making a specific block. Complete instructions to make the block are included. We are going to have so much fun!

We’ve just posted the first video. It features Carolyn Beam and her Tweet Street block using triangle-squares. Then she shares wonderful setting ideas so you can whip up an easy quilt in no time at all.

There has been so much excitement in our offices over this new project. We’ve selected the first 24 blocks. We’ve remade blocks (because the originals were always given away in a contest). We’ve sewn step-by-step samples.

We’ve written intros and outtros.

We’ve edited and tweaked and edited some more. We’ve laughed and we’ve learned. We’ve had a ball!

I know you’ll love the blocks, the techniques and the ideas we’ll share. Watch to the end and there will be some funny surprises to make you laugh. And remember: it’s all free.

We’ll post a new video each Monday. We’re able to do this because we now have a library of 700 blocks—from seven volumes of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks. It has been so much fun to watch this idea take shape and blossom fully!

I hope to see you on Quiltmaker’s Block Network for lots of free how-to quilting videos.

I love your candlestick block, June. It’s amazing how turning some of the blocks gives a completely different look to the quilt. Many thanks for all the lessons shown in these excellent videos, which are a wonderful idea and a great addition to Quiltmaker magazine.
