I'm an editor for Quiltmaker magazine in Golden, Colorado, USA. For six years, I wrote pattern instructions, product reviews and how-to articles. Then I spent four years as QM's Interactive Editor, working to generate much of our online content. Now I'm back to patterns and how-tos, which is a great fit for me. I still love writing about quilt-related topics for Quilty Pleasures, and I always have my finger on the pulse of the quilting world. I teach a variety of quilt classes and give guild programs, too. I have been looking and reading all the great blogs. I am finding such treasures that I have to remind my self of chores and other things. However time I spend reading and surfing it seems I have hardly read a couple of blogs. Thank you for the opportunity to not only win great prizes but also to know so many great quilters, designers and bloggers.

  2. Karrie Smith says:

I’ve probably spent about 4 hours on the blog so far. About an hour in the evening ;) Thanks for the chance to win something (for my bday on Friday)

  25. Patty Ryker says:

Well, I burned the bottom of the biscuits and sacrificed the rice and, well, I am still popping about. Designers need to put a reminder “CHECK THE STOVE” or TURN ON THE TIMER SILLY” on their blogs. LOL Okay, onward.

  26. Betty Domal says:

I thing 2-3 hours each day of the blog – I look at all of them, then sometimes projects on their blog. Have already ordered one pattern – a sewing machine cover from Pink Chalk Fabrics.
I am hoping to win the 100 Blocks magazine and/or some of the other giveaways.
This is my first blog tour and am thoroughly enjoying it.

I LOVE this magazine (I have them all!!!) and this blog hop is one of my favorites each time because I always find new blogs to follow! Thanks!!!

  39. Lea J. says:

Hi, this blog tour has been awesome! I’m being introduced to blogs I probably would not have found otherwise.

I’ve probably spent about 10 hours so far touring the blogs. Keep ‘em coming.

  40. JillB says:

I have spent 1.5 hours each evening. The trouble comes in that I have signed up to receive these bloggers’ postings. Added to the ones I already follow, the time spent this week is just the beginning! What fun and quite addicting!

  41. LJ says:

I’m estimating but…probably between 30-45 minutes each day. Counting today that would mean 2-3 hours total. Sometimes I get hooked on some of the posts looking at block variations and/or going to some of the other links they suggest. I love the 100 block hops. Ohhh…I love the little penquin block today!!

  42. Lynn says:

I probably spend about an hour a day looking at all of the blogs, as each visit diverts me to other blogs. Last night I did well- most of the new blocks were posted around midnight NZ time, so instead of being about number 248 in the comments, I was around number 34. This one I havwe saved til later in the day

  50. Muriel Ginther says:

I have not spent any time looking at this as I have been with my ill Mother since April 8 and she does not have the Internet. Now that I am back home again I am playing “catch up” and enjoying the things I have missed out on. I have not even been able to watch the classes I have paid for….no Internet. Wish there were a way to download them to my iPad for future viewing. Keep up the great work.

  51. Lynn Van Keuren says:

My connections during a recent hospital stay haven’t been very sound, but I’m trying to catch up at home now. Today its about 2 hours.

  52. Ruth Allsopp says:

I spend an hour or more each day visiting all the blogs. I spend more than an hour each day getting side tracked lol to other blogs mentioned on the blogs VBG.

get looking and time flys by- about 2 hours a day Thank You

  56. Betty Elliott says:

I’ve just started looking so haven’t spent much time yet but can see where I would spend way too much time if I weren’t careful! And if they have a FB link and/or a Pinterest link, I would definitely click and spend even more time!

  57. Deb says:

I think an hour a day would be about right…..so 4 hours so far.

  58. Jane Prestidge says:

This is only the second time I’ve had a chance to check out the tour………having a computer bit the dust doesn’t make a happy quilter!!!

  59. This has been so much fun and I’ve spent about an hour each day visiting all the wonderful blogs!

  60. Evelyn Geene says:

I haven’t spent as much time as I would like to, but I don’t have to work tomorrow, so I know I can do better then.

  62. Bridget La Rose says:

I probably spend about an hour or two every night. I love checking out all the blogs.

  63. Lori says:

This is my first blog tour, took me a bit to figure out that there was more than one blog to visit each day. I’ll be spending more time now that I am figuring things out.

    Ispend about 1 hour+ a day touring.

  71. Diane says:

Got a new sewing machine yesterday, Janome MC 12000, hope to get used to it quickly to get going on all the new blocks in the new book.

  72. physicsmom says:

I’ve spent about 2-1/2 hours so far, but I’m off tomorrow, so I expect to lose myself in quilting blogs all day!

  73. Joan in NE says:

Wow what fun, —– Snow finally melted off–May and we have sleet and snow? thanks everyone for sharing your blogs. what fun seeing what everyone is doing. hope I can win one of the prizes too. that would be awesome.

  74. Carol says:

I have spent about 1-2 hours a night looking at this blog tour. Would love to spend more but work and family call.

  75. Dorreen says:

How much time on the blog tour? More than I’d like to admit LOL It’s one thing to read a magazine and see designers and artists and their blogs listed. It’s quite another thing altogether to read online and have all the links right there for you. How can one NOT click on the links?! Oh my goodness all the blogs! Everyone has been bookmarked for future returns. But I also like reading all the comments here…all 334 of them before me! That’s a lot of reading and I must admit (not really but I will) not much is getting done around my house and garden. It’s a ‘good’ thing I’m sick…first spring cold ya know. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it :-P

  76. Elizabeth McDonald says:

I am not sure how much time I have spent – but it must be hours and more hours! I like to read about each person’s block – naturally! – and how they designed it.

  77. Ruth Alf says:

I am enjoying it so much that I lose track of the time. Thank you for all the hard work you have put into putting this together and making it a delightful treat for us. I love the blocks and visiting the websites of the designers. It has been a pleasant way for me to end each day!

  78. DeAnna Johnson says:

gosh I have now spent about 3 hours!!!!! amazing! :)

  79. Pamela Rapp says:

I’ve spent a couple of hours a day – it’s amazing how fast the time passes when you’re reading such interesting stuff & looking at so many inspiring photos!!

  80. Cheryl B. says:

Probably longer than I should! ;-)

  81. Julie says:

Probably 4 hours or more. Like many people, I get sidetracked finding new blogs to explore, bookmark, and revisit for some reason or other! What fun this is! I try not to watch the clock since I am relaxing (after a hard day’s work) and having fun. :-)

  82. Lauren aka Giddy99 says:

I haven’t spent enough time on the blog; I’m frantically trying to catch up before I miss it all! :)

  83. Maryln Fleming says:

All together, probably about 4 hours. It’s fun, wish I had more time!!

I’ve spent more than 3 hours per day – spread out during the day and evening. It’s been great to preview the blocks and read some of the comments. Thanks.

  86. Karen says:

I’m probably up to about three hours total so far.

  87. Steph says:

It’s so sad… I’ve been giving up most of my evenings this week – probably 2-3 hours a night. Having a ball on my first blog hop, though.

  88. Nancy Danish says:

Butterfly quilt is on the wall ,time to get a new one going.

  89. Lynn Nicholson says:

I’ve spent at least 2 hours a day looking all the wonderful blots and lord knows how many I have bookmarked. My computer will probably crash. Lol

  90. Time spent on the blog hop to date….hmmmm. A visit each day + 1-2 blogs, maybe an hour total. Could be more.

  91. Nancy B says:

I’ve been up to my elbows this week in paint and wallpaper, so I will estimate about 10 minutes. Thanks for the opportunity.

    Happy Sewing!

  92. Patricia Hersl says:

I’ll give you an hour. Or maybe two. Who knows. I’m having fun!

  93. Linda B says:

This is my first blog tour and I am really amazed at all the knowledge and ideas I am picking up! I have spent about 1 hour each day–would love to spend more time blogging but–alas the Sewing Room keeps calling me!

  94. Debbie H says:

Probably about 3 hours. Thanks, it’s been a lot of fun!

  95. pat sprengel says:

my 1st time doing this blog tour, so far its been fun seeing all the great blocks and some I definitely want to try

  96. Lynda says:

I have spent 2 to 3 hours a day since we started, so I guess around 8 to 10 hours so far this week. And not a moment was wasted, I’ve loved visiting all the new blogs (and adding them to my list to visit again and again). Such talented people to give inspiration to others.

  97. Barb Colvin says:

It is so easy to get lost in these tours! From past experience I’ve learned to bookmark blogs that interest me for later drooling LOL. So, I’ve probably on spent about 2 hrs so far.

  98. Maryellen says:

I’ve been hopping every day! I confess to not going to all the blogs, but I’ve been to many. I spend too much time on the computer, and have projects due by Monday, so I can’t do every blog. I’m enjoying the ones I’ve visited! Hope to be able to get the all next week. Thanks!

  99. Cindy says:

Going to enjoy the time checking all these out…..fun!

  100. Darlene says:

I’m not sure but try to complete the tour every day. Beautiful blocks.
