Hand sewing the binding on. More tops than quilted pieces, so when I get there it is fun to reflect who will be receiving the project and how much I enjoyed it.

I prefer paper-piecing. Had a friend not introduced me to this technique, I wouldn’t be involved in the world of quilting at all.

I have recently discovered English Paper Piecing. I saw numerous photos and projects featuring hexagons and I got inspired to work on my own hexagon flower garden quilt using 1930′s reproduction prints. Piecing by hand, instead of a sewing machine, is a new experience for me. It is wonderfully relaxing.

  16. Carol Crisp says:

Piecing is just tons of fun and being able to chain stitch things. I find it very relaxing getting into a rhythm, pushing the foot pedal and letting it fly!!!

  17. Terri S says:
