I like paper piecing the best. I also enjoy trying new things and playing with tools that make quilting easier and more exact.

  4. Mara Cockman says:

Piecing is my favorite. but machine quilting is catching up quickly. I’m a new quilter (6 mos), but I’m completely hooked and while my technique still needs lots of work I find machine quilting to be so relaxing. I love all the blogs that I have discovered and can’t wait to discover more. There is so much to learn and you guys are all awesome teachers!

  5. Karen Jautaikis says:

I like every part of making a quilt except the cutting. Just want to get in there and begin sewing.

I really liked Groovy block #633. It had nice movement and would go with so many different blocks as well

  7. Deb Heid says:

I am new to quilting, just joined a Project Linus Chapter here in Texas. Learned how to make quilts out of scraps – string quilts -really remarkable. Finished 3 already and just love it!

  8. Ginny in Carpinteria, CA says:

I truly liked Groovy block #633. I think it would make a very interesting quilt and could be used with so many other blocks. This has been so much fun looking at all the blocks and seeing so many wonderful designers as well.

  9. Susan says:

I like machine piecing and quilting, but I am determined to learn how to applique! Love the blocks I’ve seen from this book!!!

  10. sally says:

I really like everything about quilting, hand piecing as a project to take along, easy machine piecing cause I like using one of my machines, hand quilting because it’s relaxing and another take along project, and machine quilting because it is kind of mindless sewinng which is always fun. Even like putting on binding cause I get to hold the almost finnish quilt and admire it while finishing it.

  11. Cathryn H says:

My favorite method is piecing. It makes me happy to be able to lay the parts next to each other and see what my quilt will look like when done. Keep up the good work.

  12. sally says:

My favorite part of quilting is machine piecing the tops. It is fun to see the quilt come together with each step sewn.

  20. Nancy says:

I have to say that I kind of like it all. I think I excel at machine quilting, but even that can get overwhelming when I am working on a large quilt. I do like piecing and seeing a top come together as well.
Thanks for the chance at the giveaway!

  23. Louise Cheever says:

Paper piecing for sure. Love the perfect points.

  24. LeAnne L says:

Machine embroidery, can’t get enough of it. I especially like adding embroidery to my quilts. Makes them different from everybody else’s.

  25. Donna P says:

My favorite method of quilting, or, piecing is paper piecing (also known as foundation piecing). It makes my points much less likely to be chopped off. Lol!

  26. Joy says:

I love chain piecing…sewing a bazillion little pieces together in the same way one right after the other. Brainless sewing…too fun.

  27. Laurel says:

    I’m crazy about crazy quilting!

    Machine piecing is my favorite.

  34. Gwen W says:

I mostly machine-piece (love the accuracy of foundation piecing!) but lately I’ve become obsessed with hand applique!

  35. Gladys says:

I like machine piecing the best, but do English paper piecing, hexies, for a relaxing change of pace.

  36. Sandra says:

I love applique, and i am now trying piecing and hexies. I love scrappy quilts and log cabins. What fun! Thanks for a chance to win. :)

  37. Deana says:

Being a fairly new quilter, 3yrs now (I still feel like a newby) I enjoy everything about quilting, except hand sewing the binding. I’m slow at it and would rather be piecing a top. I like machine piecing, paper piecing, and quilting the quilt the best.

  38. usairdoll says:

I love all the different ways to express myself in making quilts. This year I’m working on four different quilts that also have embroidery blocks included. I didn’t plan on working on four this year, it just happened that way, hehe. I also love hand piecing and hand applique.

Thank you for an awesome giveaway and a chance to win.

  39. Psychomom3168 says:

I love all parts of quilting, but my favorits are handwork: English paper piecing, hand piecing, hand appliqué, anything that keeps my hands busy and out of the cookie jar!

  40. Mary says:

Lately I have enjoyed making scrappy quilts. Will be looking for new ideas. So winning will be on my wish list. Thanks, M

  41. Louise Buker says:

I enjoy designing and piecing quilt tops. I also do machine embroidery so I like to be able to combine the 2 crafts in the same project. I guess the best part of quilting is seeing the joy on the face of the person who receives it.

  42. Kathy Wagner says:

I love everything about quilting… (well, except maybe paper piecing LOL). I think my favorite techniques are piecing and applique, but enjoy machine quilting, too. If a pattern appeals, I have to try it.

  43. Connie Douty says:

Piecing is my favorite but needleturn applique is a favorite also. I always am willing to try new techniques (exccept paper piecing) which challenges my patience.
Piecing a quilt is a bonding experience as I pray and piece.

  44. Kay Ahr says:

My favorite technique is foundation paper-piecing. (I even paper-pieced a tiny 9-patch one day!)

  45. Vickie LeBlanc says:

I love star quilts. I like piecing and watching the blocks come alive.

I love piecing but recently bought a new machine with embroidery. I am trying it now and am excited to learn something new. I hope i can learn to do it well :-)

  48. Rhonda says:

Piecing is my favorite. This is when the quilt comes to life for me.

  49. Gramma Sheri says:

I love piecing best, and machine applique is right behind it!

I have only been quilting about 6 months but I think stars are my favorite so far but that can change daily.

  51. Carmen says:

    My favorite is piecing

  52. Pam says:

Piecing and machine embroidery are my favorites.
This is my first blog tour, so learning a lot each day.

  53. VickiT says:

My first love would have to be machine embroidery. When I first got back into sewing again, the machine I bought was an embroidery machine so naturally as that was so new to me and something I’d never done that’s where I started. I did nothing but that for the next three years for about half a day every single day. But, then doing that much, I kinda got burned out and need to try something new once again so I started studying all I could find about quilting. I love machine piecing and once I try some other styles of quilting I might find another one I love more, but for now my fav is machine piecing.

  54. JC says:

I enjoy piecing and do all of my own machine quilting.

  55. Marsha says:

I love piecing the quilts. I have more tops waiting to be quilted than finished quilts.

  56. joyce mrachek says:

What I like about quilting is machine piecing. The sharing with each other, visiting, and the enjoyment of quilting as I call them my quilting sisters.

  57. Brenda J. says:

Lately I have been working on projects that involve “made” fabric with all kinds of wild scraps. Every new block is a surprise and no two are the same. Thank you for all you do for quilters. Thank you for the chance to win!

  58. Nancy Sue says:

Machine piecing and quilting are my comfort zone, until this past month when allergies hit. Not normally an allergy-sufferer, but it hit hard, so I really now look forward to any hand sewing, and yes, binding, I can do away from the machine, and sitting down on the couch. Thanks Mother Nature for the kick in the nasal passage :)

  59. Dena Martin says:

I have been a traditional quilter for many years and in the last couple of years I’ve been venturing into other, less structured techniques and have been having a blast. So, for me, my favorite technique is the one I haven’t tried before or am just now learning. Untraveled territory is so much fun!

  60. Shirley V says:

My favorite technique is hand applique, and hand piecing. I have only done a little bit of hand quilting and have also really enjoyed that. Thanks for the opportunity to see so many wonderful blocks and quilting websites. I would also love to win this goodie bag full of potential fun!!

  61. Joan says:

I love machine piecing and am learning to love machine quilting on my home machine.

  62. Kd Brown says:

    I totally love paper-piecing patterns!

  63. Cindy Hamilton says:

What wonderful prizes! It would be a thrill to win something!

  64. Diana M says:

I’m a fairly new quilter and I really enjoy piecing. I’ve done some free motion quilting which is fun once I get over the fear of it! I’m going to be getting into the world of applique in the next few months.

  65. Susan says:

My favorite technique is paper piecing.

  66. Martha J. says:

I mostly piece, but enjoy paper piecing too. I really should learn to enjoy applique. Recently I did a pieced miniature, with 2 3/4″ blocks.

  67. Pam says:

I love piecing, especially when there is fussy cutting involved. Scrappy is my fav, since piecing the same block over and over and over and over and over is boring

  68. Pam says:

Each issue is such an inspiration!

  69. Denise says:

Thanks for such a fun way to meet so many creative quilters! My favorite technique is hand quilting, but I’m not very good at it. I keep thinking with practice things will improve.

Looking forward to Day 3 — thanks for all your hard work to make this possible on the other side of the US!

  70. Lavonna ZWB says:

I love scrap quilts, so any form of that I enjoy. I would have to say that crazy quilting is my absolute FAVORITE out of them all.

  71. Sandy A in St. Louis says:

I love paper piecing because my points come out so sharp! :)

  72. Joyce Budt says:

My favorite technique is foundation piecing. That way I don’t end up with wonky blocks! Thanks for a chance to win some goodies.

  73. Bridget says:

When I see a pattern that I want to make, I enjoy picking the fabrics out of my stash, and the cutting. I find that quite relaxing. I like piecing and then I also enjoy the quilting. At first it isn’t easy deciding what to quilt where, but I find that it comes together as I go along. Finishing a quilt gives me great pleasure.

  74. Rachell R says:

I like piecing and paper-piecing the best. Although I do enjoy the whole process. And doing any hand-piecing, hand-quilting, or hand-stitching binding is relaxing for me.

  75. Christy Keefe says:

I love to piece with a little machine quilting mixed in! Applique is ok, but not my passion. My piecing may be sort of crazy, as in “made fabric”, or traditional patterns. Scrap is the name of the game!!!

  76. Lesley Moore says:

I love everything about quilting, my favourites being applique and paper piecing.

  77. Ann Marie Kesler says:

I love handling fabric! I enjoy piecing most of all. There are so many ways to arrange these pieces and sew awhile and then cut awhile and just arrange….I don’t do much designing on paper but want the “real” thing in my hands.

  78. Hi…. I am learning this technique and I love piecing quilt block. I have a new sew machine..TOYOTA, quiltmaster, quilt 50 and enjoy it so much…greeting from Chile

  79. Joanne E says:

My favorite quilting technique is nearly all of them. I have several projects going at once, so whatever I’m in the mood for, I can start doing. If I am in the mood for doing a particular technique and I don’t something going in that technique, then I just hit the stash and start a new one! I do more machine piecing than any other technique because it goes so fast, but I love hand applique since I can take it along on trips.

  80. Lavonna Campbell says:

My favorite quilting technique is piecing. I enjoy building the blocks and watching them develop.

  81. Holly Maupin says:

I love to applique and would use Moda Fabrics if I win.

  82. Anne H says:

I love to watch the pattern appear as I apply the various pieces of fabric. I love the colors.

  83. Carol Sc says:

Machine piecing scrappy quilts is probably my favorite, but, I really enjoy all aspects of quilting.

  84. Jane VanWijnen says:

I love hand quilting and have done some machine quilting and am anxious to try it more.

  85. Margaret Lawrence says:

I get great satisfaction from machine piecing; seeing the blocks come together – and -seeing the stack of pieces getting ever smaller!

  86. Beverley H says:

I like piecing…joining pieces together to make a complete block.
    Also enjoy piecing borders.

  87. Robyn Williams says:

#8 anf the bag with the birds on it #11 i think are the ones I like today

  88. Brenda Bower says:

I enjoy piecing. Paper piecing is also something I am learning to enjoy.

  89. Donna says:

I love to piece blocks! I especially like a scrappy look with reproductions fabrics.

  90. Suzan says:

Still love hand piecing, appliqué and quilting.

  91. Darlene Crosby says:

I am very new to the entire quilt process. I am learning and enjoying paper piecing, loving those sharp, crisp points!

  92. Donna Kauffman says:

Day 2 of the blog tour and I have seen a lot of interesting sites. Keep up the good work. i will be back tomorrow.

  93. Diana Feit says:

I can’t choose between these favorite quilting techniques – piecing & applique. I like the idea of a peiced background for applique.

  94. Pam says:

I love all the techniques, but I applique is my favorite. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  95. Janine Huisjen says:

I like the variety of tasks involved in the whole process of making quilts, but I think my favorite is hand quilting. Most of my quilts are of a manageable size to quilt by hand–baby quilts, throws and wall quilts–and I find it’s very relaxing and meditative. I usually race to piece (by machine) so I can get to the quilting.

  96. Carolyn says:

My favorite is picking designs and fabrics and cutting and piecing the blocks. Borders and bindings are my least favorite. I machine stitch and quilt….I like that part, too.

  97. Linda B says:

    I love quilting–its a productive jigsaw puzzle

  98. Dolores says:

I like picking block styles to make the quilt, then determining the size to make the blocks, cutting the fabric and machine piecing it together. I’ve recently started free motion quilting on the machine.

  99. Bernie S says:

    I love to piece blocks.

  100. Toni Anne Potter says:

I love to machine piece and hand finish binding.
