    The Pretty Iris block caught my eye and this block is one that I will definitely make. These 100 block books always contain so many examples of the many talented quilters there are. If we all work at expressing our creativity, we can brighten the lives of those around us and hopefully those we bring happiness to, will pass it on those around them. Making a quilt to please ourselves is great but it so much more satisyfing to bring joy and beauty to another.

    OMG!! I have been out of town and just got home. I was checking my emails when my quiltmaker email came up with the blog hop and the Quiltmaker 100 block tour. I will not have time to look at everyone’s blog before midnight but the star block at the beginning of this tour is beautiful. I have been expanding my knowledge of blocks and lately it has been the star block. This one: Star Search by Kari Carr of New Leaf Stitches
    would be my choice for today. I really love this book as it gives so many options depending on each person’s desire and style of making blocks.

    I dearly love the lemonade block, but my favorite thing to see on a designers sight is how each block looks when paired up into a runner or wall hanging or quilt. Most of today’s designers did just that! So happy to see it!
