Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a wool applique nerd. Totally and completely.
Give me a pile of wool and needle and floss and I’m a happy camper.
I have a gigantic stash of wool, and these pictures only show about half of it. It’s a sickness. I know.
But wool makes me so happy!
Jazz up a plain block with wool? I’m there. Make a table topper for every season? Got it. Make a wool appliqued quilt for just about everybody I know? You betcha. Wool applique a queen-size quilt? Been there, done that. (Probably won’t do again!)
Design a wool block-of-the-month for Quiltmaker? Ab.so.lu.tely!!
When I was asked to design a wool block-of-the-month for Quiltmaker for 2014, I had to think about it for, oh, 2.5 seconds.
Then I started making a list. Theme? Layout? Size? Critters? Flowers?
I cannot WAIT for you to see what Quiltmaker has in store for 2014.
So watch for our Block-of-the-Month, starting in Jan/Feb 2014. And as we go along I’ll post little tips and tricks here, and answer any questions that you may have. And a little birdie told me that we will probably be kitting the blocks for each issue, so stay tuned for more info about that!
Until then, happy stitching!
P.S. Wo0l not your thing? No worries, we’ll be showing different options too!
