Need a simple yet beautiful idea for decorating tables at a quilty event? Use 2 contrasting fat quarters with one cylinder vase (shown with vases that are 3″ diameter, 7″ tall) and a bit of raffia.
Step One: Open one fat quarter and wrap the vase with the fabric edge at the bottom of the vase.
Step Two: Tuck the loose fabric into the top of the vase.
Step 3: Fold the second fat quarter into a long strip.
Step 4: Wrap the second fat-quarter around the vase.
Step 5: Tie with a bit of raffia around the fat-quarter to hold it in place.
Voila! You have a simple yet stunning center piece!
We used gorgeous Jo Morton fabric from Andover to cover 16 vases for the center of each dinner table at Block Party Thursday night. Each vase was set on a mirror that reflected the fabrics.
Optional: pick one person at each table to win the fabric when the event is over!
Have a great weekend!

Such a clever idea. Thanks for sharing.
