Hello Quilty Friends! Our Block Party in Portland is in full swing this weekend. There are quilting all-stars teaching, great giveaways and happy quilters everywhere. Here are some (okay, quite a few! =] ) photos of the festivities thus far:

The event began with a key note speech from Bonnie Hunter.

These are the quilts Bonnie shared.

This is Bonnie's hexagon quilt she shared in 2011 at Block Party. It was just a partial quilt then. It is finished and absolutely stunning!

There was a full rainbow over the river at dinner!

Thursday morning, classes begun! Here is Diane Harris with coffee in hand ready to bestow some wisdom!

Here is Julie Herman explaining her Hex N' More ruler.

Here is Bonnie in class. They look like they are having fun!

A special shout out to Reliable for the great irons and Handi Quilter for the perfectly sized scissors and zinger!

Bonnie took a great shot of all the goodies our sponsors provided!

Here is Debbie Caffrey giving some great advice!

There is Gudrun Erla looking adorable as always!

Here is Jo Morton explaining something quilty!

Beth Ferrier in action! She is showing her technique on a projector.

Quiltmaker's very own Sewing Machine, Peg Spradlin, with a very happy student!

Kristi Marymee posted this great photo of her, Linda, Carmen and Bonnie Hunter

Jill Neely posted this great photo of Julie showing her new quilt.

For most people, this is a name tag. For Melissa at Quiltmaker's Block Party, this is a tiny scrap saver. She tells us she has a jar at home filled with her trimmings and happy fabric memories!

Lynda Parker posted this great photo of all the quilts Jo Morton showed during her key note speech!

Here is the Block Exchange is action! I spy with my little eye a block design by Paula Stoddard!

Kristi Marymee posted this great photo of some happy Block Exchangers!
Well that is all the photos for now! Be sure to check out our Facebook page for photos by the attendees! If you are in Portland, be sure to post your photos so we can share them.
Thank you again to all our sponsors, teachers and attendees!
