QM Freebies: Enjoy!

Quiltmaker is pleased to offer several free patterns to our readers and Facebook friends. I hope you’ll take advantage of the ones you like.

For our readers who do use Facebook, this week we’ve posted a new free pattern called Butterfliers. It features three-dimensional butterflies in a happy setting that makes a great baby or toddler quilt. Change up the colors as you wish to make it uniquely your own. This pattern will be available until the end of March.

We do have a few kits of Butterfliers to make your sewing easier than ever.

Other free patterns

For a long time, Quiltmaker has published a foundation pattern annually in support of Project Linus. All of those patterns are available free of charge. The 2013 pattern was designed by QM Graphic Designer Denise Starck. It’s called Ladybug Hugs.

One of my favorite Project Linus patterns from the past is Kisses and Hugs. It’s given as paper foundation piecing but could easily be adapted to “stitch and flip” instead if you prefer that method.

I will post the link but I suspect it will be removed as patterns, as this, are intended to bring people to their FB page:

I know it is very frustrating to want a free pattern but not be able to gain access to it.

  3. Bonnie says:

I don’t have a Facebook account. Is there some other way to get the free Butterflies pattern? Please make the free patterns available to all your readers.

Mary Hopkins, I tried to email you but it bounced. We are at facebook.com/quiltmakermag. Once you give us a “like”, from a regular computer (not a mobile device) you’ll be able to click on “Free stuff for fans” and download the Butterfliers pattern from there. Please let us know if you have any trouble: editor@quiltmaker.com. Thanks!
