Today’s a big day for Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks. We’ve reprinted Volume 1, which sold out before many readers had a chance to get it.
Now the blocks that started it all are back!
In order to celebrate, we’re giving away some copies and—can you believe it?!—a batch of the much-sought-after 100 Blocks Volume 1 coffee mugs!
1. At the bottom of this post is a list of Volume 1 designers with links to their blogs or websites. Please take the time to visit several and then leave a comment telling us about something you saw or enjoyed there. Comments left by midnight Monday,
Dec. Jan. 14 will be eligible to win a copy of the reprint of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Volume 1. We’ll give away 10 issues for every 500 comments we get. So please tell your friends, and say it on Facebook and your own blog, too. We’d love to be completely cleaned out of giveaway issues! Here’s a link to this post you can share: http://www.quiltmaker.com/blogs/quiltypleasures/?p=15255
2. But you’re also wondering how you can win a Vol. 1 mug, aren’t you?! Because the mugs are very special, this is a little more involved but still very doable.
For your chance to win a mug, you’ll need to send us a photo of something you’ve made from ANY volume of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks. It can be as simple as a block or as much as a large quilt!
In fact, if you haven’t yet made anything, you have time to whip up a block. There are so many options of what to make. There are one hundred! Times six volumes!
Send the photo to firstname.lastname@example.org, with a subject line of “I’d like a mug!” Everyone who follows these instructions will have a chance to win one of 10 mugs we’re giving away. And you never know. We might be inclined to include issues in those packages, too. Update: Be sure to tell us which block(s) you used!
Seeing these blocks again is like reuniting with old friends. If you didn’t get a copy the first time around, be sure to pick one up this time.
We encourage you to buy it locally from a quilt shop or newsstand. It’s also available from us at quiltandsewshop.com. Or ask your quilt shop to order it for you.
