The Countdown to Christmas continues here on Quilty Pleasures. I’m glad you’re back!

Each year Quiltmaker partners with select fabric companies to bring you the best new fabric in the industry. You’ll see their fabric in our pages, on our blog, on Facebook, at Quiltmaker’s Block Party and more. They are responsible for the great fabric giveaways we offer!
Our fabric partners have many great resources available for everyone to enjoy, and I’ve compiled a list of some of them. There are tutorials, free patterns, fabric inspirations and more. Enjoy it all as you have time, and please remember these folks when you buy fabric at your local quilt shop.
Over at FreeSpirit’s blog they’ve been hosting a 12 Weeks of Christmas event. There are many free tutorials for all kinds of things.
There are instructions for this Hot Mess Casserole Carrier.
For these coasters in a cute holder…
…or how about a curling iron cover? You could make any of these in your favorite fabrics—or customize them to match the personalities of your friends and family.
The Ruffled Mini Wallet may be my favorite. There are more so please check them out. All the patterns are brought to you courtesy of FreeSpirit and a variety of designers.
Over at RJR Fabrics, they’ll have some great collections coming after Jan. 1. The swatches below are from Cold Spring Dream by Mary McGuire.

Kind of gets you thinking of spring, doesn’t it?!
You might enjoy the holiday fabrics on display over at Quilting Treasures.

I love the night sky fabric with Santa and his reindeer enroute!
And how about Holiday Magic, above? Gorgeous! You’ll find lots of free patterns for a variety of quilts at the Quilting Treasures website, too.
Northcott Studios is tantalizing us with images of fabric for Christmas 2013. This will be out in June.
Does Christmas fabric get any prettier?! This line is Cardinal Christmas by Deborah Edwards Northcott Studio. You can see all of Northcott’s Holiday Collections here.
And now for the giveaway! We have a bundle of holiday fat quarters for each of two lucky Quilty Pleasures readers. Leave a comment below by Friday, Dec. 14 at midnight estimating how much holiday/Christmas/winter themed fabric there is in your stash. We’ll choose two winners and announce them here next week. And the winners are: Rachelle (comment #44) and Cathryn H. (comment #58)!

Oh, my! You would ask that question. I have a tub that is overflowing with at least 25 pounds, and probably more. Any one know how many yard to the pound? I can hardly pick it up, so it is in the “probably more” category. Of course, there’s always room for more–just like *ello.
I have 3 bins full of holiday fabrics. I’m always buying some when they go on sale. I must be addicted. Thanks for the chance to win even more.
Not much! I try and use loads in the run up to Christmas so I can buy more in the January sales!
I’m going to give a conservative guess of 50 yards.
I most likely have around 5 to 10 yards of holiday fabric. I tend to keep a small stash. Thank you for a chance to add a little more to it.
I have way too much of all kinds of fabric. I love to have holiday fabric on hand so when inspiration strikes I am ready to go. I know when I line inspires me I need to get it before it sells out.
As a newer quilter, I have a small stash (though it’s growing!). I have less than 10 yards of holiday fabric. Thanks for the chance to grow my stash!
I don’t have a lot of holiday themed fabric. Maybe only a couple of metres (yards)!
I haven’t made many Christmas quilts yet, so there’s not much leftover scraps in my stash. I’ve been given a few pieces, but not much. Thanks for another great giveaway!
I don’t have much at all, basically scraps. I don’t have much room for storage, so I tend to buy for a project, but I do have a few pieces that I have purchased just because…
I DID have a couple of yards of various holiday prints, but my sister and I did a LOT of crafting this year, and now I probably have enough snippets and scraps left to make a doll quilt….if it were a very small doll. Time to start building it up again!
I am seriously holiday-fabric-deprived! I only have three holiday prints in my stash and it is about a yard total
So sad!
Probably only about 5%. I usually buy it and use it promptly.
I probably have about 10 yards total, but it was gifted to me. For holiday fabric I usually buy what I need so I don’t have to store it. Thanks.
I have a stack of 2.5 inch squares about 2 inches tall. That’s about it, unless you count reds and greens that aren’t necessarily “Christmas” fabrics.
I have a few special ones I bought W-A-A-A-Y before the quilting bug bit. They have deer on them and they are hard to cut into. Once I cut, they are gone! That’s okay, I just keep buying OTHER Christmas fabric to use!
I love Christmas fabric. I have a big basket of it and draw from it every time we begin a new Christmas QAL and when I need to make a gift at this time of year. And that is why I can always use more:)
I have a bin of holiday fabric. If I had to guess probably about 20 yards or more. I love Christmas so keep buying more.
I am guessing 8 yards and most of it is scraps and small pieces. Thank you for the chance to win and Happy Holidays to all of you.
Mary
Oh, dear. If we count all the Christmas Noah, poinsettias, in blue, pink, red, red with gold background, then all the blue and silver, then red and green and red and green and red and green – you see the problem, I know I’m way over 100 yards (4 stacks folded 24″ deep by 10″ tall). Someday I’ll use it all up . . . . .
Thanks for all the fabulous links. My Christmas fabric stash consists of maybe two metres and a few fqs of actual prints. Then some red and green that could be used for Christmas projects. Best Wishes to all of you.
I have 1 yard of a green plaid with candles that’s really kind of ugly and doesn’t work for quilting (SIGH) and about a half yard total of various small red prints that work for Christmas. No actual holiday holly/santa/present etc etc fabric. I need some!
I desperately need more holiday fabrics in my stash because I don’t have much at this moment. Maybe a yard or two in all?
I have just a few pieces of what you may call Christmas fabrics in my stash, so I probably need some more.
Not enough!!
I’ve been whittling it down, making Christmas gift bags. I would estimate 10 yards stashed.
My Christmas stash is actually lacking quite a bit since I have been making more Christmas quilts lately, time to build it back up again
I have 3 bins full. Probably 80 yards. Am I really making this public knowledge?
The sum total of Christmas fabric in my stash is 2 pieces – I looked the past few weeks and found virtually nothing so could sure use some!
thanks
I have hardly any Christmas fabric as it usually gets used up making gifts. Would love to win some to play with this year!
I have none, but I’m looking to starting my own stash. I started quilting in October, so this is new to me.
i have some, but nearly as much as other lines. i always have the best intentions to make Christmay quilts but there is always another project ahead, and i run out of time.
about 6 fat quarters of mismatched novelty Christmas fabric
I would have to guess less than 2 yards of christmas fabric in my stash right now. I’ve been using it =)
I’m down to about 4 yards of Christmas fabrics, mostly scraps. Each year I make stockings for a local charity and am gifted leftovers from friends to complete the project. Thanks for the chance.
I love Christmas fabric and probably have at least thirty yards of it. Some of the pieces are tiny and treasured as well as unavailable anymore, so they are waiting for very special projects. I’m always on the look out for more because there are so many projects I want to make. Thanks so much for the chance on your giveaway!
I only have a few yards of holiday fabrics right now. (Mostly small scraps.)I used up alot of my stash the last couple years. I’d love to add the new fabrics to my collection!
I have 5 small boxes. And there just isn’t enough time to make all the projects I would like.
In my Christmas stash is at least 60 to 70 yards. I should really use some of that, lol! Winter stash is only about 20 yards.
I maybe have 2 yards total of Christmas/holiday fabric
Not near enough. Mostly scraps. thanks
I have less that 6 yards of Christmas fabric in my stash. And I actually just bought it to make a tree skirt.
I have one tote bag completely filled, much of it strippy scraps from a quilty friend that are begging to be put into a Christmas postage stamp quilt. I’m not very good at guessing, but maybe 7 yards.
Um, none. I don’t have any Christmas or other holiday themed fabric at all, I do have a lot of other fabric though, does that count?
Love Christmas fabrics and have been collecting for years. I make a Christmas quilt every year so have lots of scraps, and have to admit I will keep even small scraps. Have cut lots into strips- 1 1/2″, 2 1/2″ and 3 1/3″ so they are ready for some fast projects. Don’t have a clue as to how much yardage I have, but think I could fit it all into a old fashioned wash tub!!! Rounded up , of course.
Wonderful fabric I’d love to start next years project early
HI! OH! THERE IS NOT NEAR ENOUGH CHRISTMAS FABRIC IN MY STASH! MAYBE 5 YARDS ALTOGETHER! LOVE CHRISTMAS FABRICS!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU!
I just went through all my favorite and I probably have about 15 yards of various amounts including all the panels.
I have very little Christmas-themed in my stash, maybe five fat quarters worth? I’d love to add to it
THANKS for the chance!

I probably have about 10 yards total in my stash. I definitely think there is room for more.
Not much -maybe yardage and fat quarters totaling about 5 or 6 yards…
i would love to win thanks
Not as much as one would think! I tend to use up my Christmas fabrics pretty fast making gifts for family and friends. I just put the last stitches in some placemats last night. Thanks for the fun!
I think I have a bin full. I just pulled out some blue/white snow-themed fabric to make English paper piecing fabric snowflakes.
I don’t have much, maybe 4 pieces equal to about 6 yards.
Not much Christmas fabric in my stash, maybe 3-4 yards total. But there sure are many beautiful collection out there! Thank you!
i have a total of four and a half yards of christmas fabric; 4 one yard pieces and six fat quarters. enough for a project! thanx for the chance to win some more christmas fabric!
I feel like I’m a piker when it comes to Christmas fabric – I think I only have a couple pieces right now. Everything else has been made into presents. Therefore, a win of some fabric would be a great start to my new stash of Christmas fabrics.
I think I have around 21 FQs. I need more. Thanks for the chance to win
I love the photos of the Christmas fabric. I have a good collection of beautiful Christmas fabrics but I’m always ready to go shopping for more!
I don’t have much holiday fabric in my stash–just a few yards. This would be a welcome addition as I have been thinking that my parents need a christmas quilt.
I have 2 bankers boxes full of Christmas fabrics… Some bought with projects in mind and the rest because I love to have a ready stash for handmade gifts. Thanks for a great giveaway!
I hardly have any! Maybe 3 yards at most. I buy to make presents for other people and then I use most of it up. I did make an advent wall hanging for my own use last year, and I would love to make a Christmas quilt for my bed someday!
I am a new sewer/quilter so I don’t have much holiday fabric……one jelly roll, two charm packs and one yard of fabric. This would be much welcomed addition. Thank you.
I don’t know exactly, but it’s not a whole lot….
Not very much. But I have loads of red fabrics and that’s what I like to play with making christmas quilts
I have a bin of Christmas fabric, no idea how many yards! A lot of it is smaller pieces left over from projects. In addition, I have lots of “non-holiday” reds and greens to call on when needed. I love making bags for wrapping gifts.
I have about 15 yards. I also, have afew panels to sew up done quilts or wall hangings. I would love to add more to stash. You can never have enough Christmas fabric.
About 3 yards of one fabric and a couple of fat quarters…I sure could use more to play with! Thanks for the chance.
Gosh, if I had to measure it and sum it up I would say about a total of 15-20 yards including the scraps and the FQ’s and yardage. BUT…I have made a lot of Christmas gifts with it this year and DIDN’T buy any new Christmas fabrics ~ worked from stash!
Maybe, if I count red and green solids, I have 6 yards of Christmas fabrics. Not much. I think I need to hit the after Christmas sales!
I only keep a small stack of holiday fabric, I estimate I have about 4 yards in my
stack.
.
I’m guessing I only have a yard or two of holiday fabrics, I’m new to quilting and I don’t have much of a stash, yet!
I probably have about 40-50 yards. (It adds up fast!). I have some that I have had for 15-20 years that I bought when my girls were little and I sewed a bunch for them. But, I can’t resist it after Christmas when it is 50% off.
Right now – none! I need to build a seasonal/holiday stash.
I probably have less than two yards. I’ve been making clothesline baskets with it and it’s almost gone. The red and green baskets make wonderful gifts.
I don’t have any! I just started to quilt and my big Christmas/Birthday/Mother’s Day/etc. gift is a brand new Baby Lock quilting machine. Now I need to learn how to do the actual quilting! I plan on buying holiday fabric after the holidays to build up my stash and then I can work all year long on making Christmas gifts!
I don’t have alot of holiday/Christmas fabric… maybe 3 yards counting all the different cuts. Thanks for a chance to win!
I have maybe 2 piece of holiday fabric for under 4 yards total. I hope to make that pot luck warmer soon!
