Had an email about the contest & deceided to join the “Blog tour”. It’s so interesting on how each “author” treated their posting. I especially liked those that did a mini tutorial for their block. It make it much easier to envision the finial block. Also those that posted a finish wall hanging, quilt etc. also really helped in how to use their block.

Gosh! I don’t remember how I heard about the tour for Vol 1 –probably on one of the many blogs I follow. As a result of that blog tour, I signed up to follow many new blogs including Quilty Pleasures. Awesome fun! and lots of inspiration
I first heard about the blog tour on Quiltmakers blog. I’m here reading, although not always commenting at least four times a week checking to see what’s new. Then I made sure to clear a block of time each day so I could take my time to read each post done on each blog daily. Also I wanted to spend time reading the new blogs that I had never seen before this blog tour.
Thank you very much for the 100 Blocks blog tour with each issue. It’s fun to read what each designer has to say about their block and thoughts they had when creating it as well.

I love any quilts that have to do with cats. Also I love all abstract color combination quilts. My mother was an artist and we used to sit in the sun on the back porch all afternoon and discuss what colors would be best for her pictures (oils) and my quilts and embroidery. I would love to make a quilt (if I got lucky) in her honor and hang it on my wall. Thanks for the opportunity to enter. Even though she has been gone since 94 I know she is my guardian angel watching over me along with my husband who passed in 07.

I do not remember exactly where I learned of the Blog Hop for Volume 6. I’ve liked you on Facebook and receive subscription to the magazine. The blog hop introduced me to several blogs and I’ll return to them in the future.
Thanks for organizing the blog hop. I enjoyed participating and I’m looking forward to reading Volume 6 of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks. Volume 5 introduced me to paper piecing and I made an ornament that will be my “Secret Pal’s” in December.

Facebook! I have had a subscription to Quiltmaker for several years off and on. Right now I can’t afford it so I have it on my FB for free. It isn’t the same as having the subscription, but it’s better than nothing at all!
I started the first blog tour, learning about it through the posts on the blog announcing the upcoming blog hop. Also, lots of the designer’s blogs announced their blocks being included. I actually won a magazine and actively participated in every blog hop except this one. That was only because I’ve had an extreme case of the flu this week. I plan on going through the stops when I feel better because it’s so much fun and I have no problem buying the magazine for my first time. It’s the best!

I visit Judy Laquidara’s blog Patchwork Times first thing in the morning. What a surprise to see that another 100 Blocks issue was having a blog hop! Now, I have followed the first five magazine hops; how could I have almost missed this one?!! It took my completely by surprise. But I am so glad Judy was featured the first day so I have not missed a thing. Except for stuff that should get done in the house…it is not–because I am spending lots of time right here!

I found out about the awesome giveaway and the tours via email. I have started the tour but had to stop just to sign up for the big prize. I am a quilter, I digitize and do embroidery. Yesterday I purchased a longarm quilting machine so this blog is just going to make my quilting life totally complete. What wonderful new ideas and patterns and the stories to go with them – it is just going to be wonderful. To be truthful – this is the very first time in my life that I have ever blogged and what a wonderful blog to start with. Winning the Big Price would just be the icing on a beautiful cake. I think it was on Facebook when I was first reminded of the tour, but it might have been the blog too.
I believe I heard about the tour through an email newsletter from Quiltmaker. Not being very lucky, I doubt I’ll win one of the many free copies of Vol. 6, so I’m resigned to buying it at the end of next week. I was just reading my welcome e-mail Newsletter and discovered this giveaway. How fun to get a chance at a drawing. I just spent a few hours today with my best quilting buddy from Tennesee. We found enough fabric from my stash to fill an office box for her to take home to a new quilt club she is helping to get started. There is nothing as relaxing and enjoyable than working on a quilt.
