My favorite thing about the holiday is that I find people are kinder and more generous. Of course I sort of demand it because I always smile, wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and hum Christmas caroles when I shop. I love to make and give gifts for my family and friends.

  15. Wilma says:

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. As much as I enjoy family celebrations, making and giving gifts, carols and decorations, these are not the reason for the season. The greatest gift of all, the birth of Jesus Christ, is why I love Christmas.
Jesus is the Saviour of the world and the Prince of Peace.

  16. Rachell R says:

    Sew very cute!
My children are just starting to love holidays! They are begging to set up the Christmas tree and lights, and love going to stores with all the decorations.
I love just about everything about the holidays! From the yummy smells of spices and food cooking, to the rich colors and textures of fabrics and decorations, to the snow. I love the reminders of the season, to “do what Jesus would do” and work harder to love and respect other people around you. I’m trying to teach my little ones that the reason for gifts is that the Wise Men gave baby Jesus Christ gifts, and we show we love Him and others by giving gifts.
And I really love giving gifts for the look of joy and wonder on the receiver’s face, especially when it’s something I’ve handmade, like a quilt.

  17. Melissa Korlin says:

I look forward to the feeling of love that seems to exude from people all around you. The music, the smells, the sounds of bells ringing, the bright colors and special light displays help me to remember the wonderful Christmas celebrations of the past. when my family was larger and there were children all excited about the prospect of Santa’s visitation, and the adults were excited about the reactions of the children. Special Advent services, Christmas concerts and cantatas at school and church, balanced the secular elements of Christmas and reminded us of what we were celebrating. It just seemed like a magical time where anything good could happen and we enjoyed new beginnings along with the new year.

  43. Barb Colvin says:
