Welcome to Day 4 of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Blog Tour! Wow, the time really flies when you’re browsing the designers’ blogs, doesn’t it? So much to see!
Here are a few more blocks from Volume 6.
Love the beautiful brown batiks in Laura Blanchard’s Split Decision. This will make a gorgeous bed quilt.
How about this happy little guy? The block is Bring on Winter and was designed by Jana Davidson.
Another batik beauty is Facets by Chris Hoover—although this block would look great in regular prints if you preferred.
Today’s featured sponsor is Handi Quilter. They have provided a pair of Handi Batting Scissors for each prize package.

We keep a pair in the QM studio and we love them. You will, too.
Be sure to visit their blog for more chances to win a copy of 100 Blocks Volume 6!
By the way: QM and Handi Quilter are giving away a Sweet Sixteen longarm quilting machine in Quiltmaker‘s Treasure Hunt contest. I hope you’ll enter! Contest details.

I’m going to say more of the same and the reason is, I am brand new to quilting and have never seen an issue of Quiltmaker however, from what I’ve seen so far this week whatever you’ve been doing seems to be working.
That is a tough question because I do love what you already have in QM! I do love seeing mini quilts sometimes.
Thanks for the chance!
Like Sandie, I’d like to see more mini quilts. I’d also like to see more articles focusing on people in the quilting community, including bloggers.
I would like to see quilts designed by European designers.
I’m trying to improve my skills in machine quilting. So I would like to see articles showing a quilt and two different quilting styles (easy overall and nice heirloom style quilting).
I like to see different colourways of blocks/quilts! Changing the colour can make a huge difference!
Boy quilts, not baby boy style for he considers himself quite grownup at age 3.5 years
There are so many wonderful designs out there and i’d like to see more on minature quilts. I don’t always want to make something big.
I like the facets!! Nice colors.
I’d love to see more stitchery or embroidery quilts
Thanks for the chance to win.
I appreciate the variety of skills and would want more of the same. There are many talented ladies (and men) out there who aren’t recognized designers that might have a unique block to contribute to an issue. Perhaps they could be given a chance to become ‘published’.
Love your magazine. Would love to see more fat quarter quilts – the kind where you stack several FQs, cut them at the same time, then shuffle them around to mix the fabrics. Thanks for the giveaway.
I would like to see more quilts for men.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I love the magazine as is! There is always a variety of things to see and try.
Quiltmaker is already one of my favorite magazines. To me, the most important thing I look for in a magazine is original patterns, not just old designs with new fabrics.
I’d love to see my own designs in your magazine…now I just have to buckle down and actually transfer those designs from my head to paper. Thanks for the fabulous blog tour. I’m having so much fun.
I like the variety it has. Some quilts that look intricate but have speedy construction methods would be good too.
I agree with the lady who asked for seeing the same blocks/quilts in different colorways. I would add that seeing the same blocks in different “styles” of fabrics (e.g. one done in batiks, one in “modern” fabrics, one in stripes–if applicable–, etc.
Your magazine is already fabulous, but you could throw some “modern” quilts in there. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
Thank you for the offering all these wonderful things for the giveaways! This magazine is terrific – so many wonderful ideas and blocks!
I like to work with miniature quilts/doll quilts and would love to see more of them in 2013.
I like the style and different blocks featured in you “100 block” magazine. I would say just keep getting great designers to contribute to it. In quiltmaker magazine I would like to see different colorways and articles that teach new techniques.
I would love to learn more about handquilting and tools and tipps which make quilting easier. I also enjoy to read about the process of designing a quilt and really love QM for its variety. Learned already a lot!
I’d like to see quilts that can be made quickly. While I love to pour over some quilts for ever, sometimes I need a quick gift.
Always love to see machine quilting. Just purchased an HQ Fusion, set up is tomorrow morning!!
I’d love to see paper piecing and also fast quilts made from precuts!
Back again today!! Loved all of the blocks yesterday, but Scott’s was AMAZING!!
Thanks for the fun!
Lucky me– I began quilting and within a week I was introduced to your magazine. I like what you do. Especially helpful is how you show blocks made out of alternate color choices. Even more of this– maybe a couple of examples.
Also I would love to see a constant section on how to finish unfinished blocks or or into smaller projects.
Love the split decision block. And the batting scissors looks to be a great tool.
I would like to see more doll quilt patterns.
I would like to see a little bit more traditional and scrap quilts, and not so much applique and paper piecing
I like traditional patterns so more of that and I love Bonnie Hunter’s mysteries. So maybe another of those.
Sorry to put this here, but I couldn’t find another place to post this. I went to find out who the TWO winners were for the prize give-away from Nov 6. There was only ONE winner posted.
I’ve subscribed to Quiltmaker for years, but my current favorite is Bonnie Hunter’s column. It’s the first thing I look at. So I truly seek new interpretations of scrappy traditional quilts. “Easy” and “quick” are turn-offs for me. We have such an abundance of beautiful fabrics available, I love to see them combined in multi-fabric quilts.
I think your magazine is the best one going. There is nothing I would change or want as there are quilts for all level of quilters, and sometimes mysteries, and new product testing. Thanks for a chance to win a copy of the magazine as I have purchased all the others.
I think it works as it is – would change nothing.
I am new to quilting (and by new, I’ve only been quilting for a month) and have just recently finished my first quilting project. I’m still learning the basics and have only seen/read one QM magazine so far. I think I’d like to see smaller, more manageable projects (like table runners, baby quilts, etc.) since the large projects still overwhelm me and I’m still trying to build up my confidence and skills.
While I love the magazine as is, would enjoy seeing the projects with additional color options.
I think your magazine is great the way it is now, wouldn’t change a thing
I love quilts using precuts and projects made with scraps.
Thanks so much for the fun blog tour this week and all of the great giveaways!
Hmm, nto sure what to add to the list to see next year, y’all keep my busy busy with all you supply already. :0)
Yes, more smaller quilts. Thank you for the giveaway.
More baby quilts…. thank you for this blog experience…
So hard to think of any way for improvement. Maybe some more ideas for quilting designs or different color ways for the blocks. It is hard to think up ways to improve what is already great!
I’d like to see more quilts for men & boys. They are often a challenge! and maybe more paper piecing. Love your magazine.
I would like to see quilts with more hand work.
I so love this magazine. I think I have every issue. The magazine has continued to improve as the years go by. It is the only magazine I renew every year. Hugs
I would like to see some fun info articles like choosing fabric, working with wools, what is heirloom quilting, color play, texture play– the kind of article that is stimulating for all levels of quilter!
Your magazine is such a great resource. It is the first I recommend to new quilters. The patterns are great, but accessible quilting ideas are always appreciated. “quilt and bind as desired” is most frustrating to beginning quilters. Thanks for a great block hop!
More minis!
I agree…more mini quilts! Other than that..I love it!
I’d like to see more quilts made with pre-cuts. Thanks for the job you do. I enjoy your magazine!
I love anything Bonnie Hunter! She is so busy, but the more Bonnie, the better!
I love it as it is!! Now that I just retired I would like to make a small piece – maybe one block- maybe even 14 or 16 inches for each holiday. I would do three, one for our house , our son’s house and our daughter’s house. So maybe a monthly holiday very small wall hanging series would be fun. Actually the series could incorporate the 100 Blocks Magazines! Just a thought.
My favorite quilts are pieced blocks that make a secondary pattern, so that’s what I’d like to see more of them. I love your magazine, so I’m not sure that you need to change anything.
I would like to see more on machine quilting designs. Maybe suggest a few different ways to quilt a pattern for different levels of experience.
I know exactly what I would like to see. Larger blocks, 16-20″. Wouldn’t that be something different?!!!
How about an “In Every Issue” feature that spotlights Doll or Mini quilts? I love to look at full-sized projects and work one very occasionally, but as a full time RVer, I tend to stick to smaller projects — table toppers, wall hangings, baby quilts and especially mini/doll quilts! Or perhaps you take one or two of the featured quilts and do a mini project from them. From what I’ve seen online in different Yahoo! groups and from blog hopping, I think LOTS of quilters who enjoy trying new blocks/techniques/looks really enjoy playing with downsized projects!
I’m enjoying this hop and the showcased blocks (and their creators) very much!!
I like seeing a couple of different colorways for quilts and the quilting motifs.
I like miniatures and applique!
I’d like to see more mini quilts, also!
What I’d like to see in 2013 is an article on social ettiquette in the social quilting world. Being a newbie, and not having been involved in online swaps, or sewing retreats, what are the “rules” of ettiquette that maybe aren’t given in swaps rules. Are there unwritten courtesies in the blogging world. This may not be directly quilting related, but indirectly it affects quilters and especially newbie quilters might be more apt to jump in on the fun, if there was more information. “this ain’t your grandma’s quiltin’ bee”
I don’t know what to tell you is needed next year because I am still (anxiously) waiting for my subscriptions to start….
thanks for doing this blog tour!
maybe more table runner projects. they make great gifts. loving this blog tour, thanks
Love to have this magazine for inspiration – loose mine in the winter…
I think Quiltmaker is just about perfect. Please continue with quick quilts cause I love to give quilt gifts. But I also enjoy the quilts that come out over several issues, like savoring bites of a favorite dessert. Thanks for the new 100 Blocks magazine.
I would like to see more patterns? No seriously, hmmm. This is tough question to answer because I love QM as it is. Maybe more traditional quilts with a modern twist/flavor?
Thank you for a chance to win.
I would like to see you keep a mix of designs in every issue. During the blog tour I liked it when a designer showed her block used in different size projects. I like seeing the Techniques blocks and hope you keep them.
As a newbie quilter (working on my second quilt top now), I’d love to see some of the first quilts or projects of quilters. I’d also love to hear their stories of what got them interested in quilting and what has kept them interested, what has been their favorite project, favorite fabric type, etc. I’d especially like to hear about the shop owners and what led them from quilting to opening a shop.
I would like to see a few more traditional quilt patterns but with a twist:)
Perhaps some articles about 3-D quilts — yo yo quilts, fabric origami, and I recently saw something about Tanabata blocks. And perhaps French Braid blocks.
Blocks on this site are awesome – thanks for sharing them.
I love mini quilts, so more mini quilts.
I already love what you do so that is a TOUGH question! Maybe more traditional pieced quilts and projects. I love the look of piecing rather than more modern-ish quilts!
I’d love to see more minis or small quilts.
I would love to see more blocks for causes, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, autism etc. More block for quick charity quilts for adults. I make lap wheelchair quilts, need quick ideas. Scrap ideas are important to me also.
Thanks for the great book use it like my bible.
Gosh, this is a hard one because I love the patterns in your magazine. Perhaps a few more challenging designs for us that like to put our thinking caps on would be good. Thanks sew much for this chance to win
I would like to see more paper pieced blocks and quilts.
I guess I like to see a variety of both small and big quilts and pieced and appliqued quilts. New techniques would be good also, like maybe embroidery, or stitching guides, or embroidery quilts or a mix of pieced, applique and embroidery quilts would be nice. thanks. Vivian
What I’d love to see in Quiltmaker in 2013 is more, more, more. I love the magazine and I want to continue seeing patterns, quilting motifs, and new techniques. Articles on quilters, new and old; new fabric lines/artists; and all that you currently have. Keep up the great work!
Would love to see more paper piecing and also quilt patterns that would incorporate embroidery designs into the quilt. Not just in the blocks.
I Love QM just the way it is. You’ve been great to work with and I look forward to seeing what 2013 brings. I hear a Bonnie Hunter Mystery is in the works and that sounds so FUN! Thanks from a 2 time 100 Blocks ‘Block Tester’.
I’d love to see a series about one block that can be adapted for pieced, applique, and paper pieced. Tamsyn
I’m having fun with the Blog Hop. Thanks for the opportunities to win all these wonderful goodies.
I hope you’ll have more conferences and contests in 2013. Can’t wait for the Block Party in Portland this March!
Honestly, I would like to see a few more “advanced” quilts and BOM kinds of quilts, like the Garden one you did. Much more challenging and fun to do different blocks on a quilt rather than the same one over and over…
What do I want to see in 2013? That’s a hard question to answer. I would like to see everything!!!!!!!!!!!! From beginner to expert. Everything you present is wonderful and gives me new ideas for things I want to do. Thanks for having such a wonderful place to come and learn.
I’d like to see a lot of the blocks from the book made by readers.
OMGosh these blocks are beautiful…I love the brown one….Thanks so much for sharing them with us.
I like the variety that is currently in Quiltmaker. Keep up the good work.
I love Amanda Murphy’s fizz quilt. When I saw it I thought of sprite. I love sprite. I understand she it from around Gastonia,NC. I know it well my mother in law grew up there.
I would love to see more wall hangings. I have lots of white walls that need something interesting on them. This is my first Blog Hop and I’m really gaining some great connections. Thank you!
I would love to see more on machine quilting designs for regular machine quilting. I also love miniture quilts and baby quilts because I can actually complete those, but a lot of the patterns and ideas you have had in the past can be used for these purposes. Quiltmaker is really rich in content as it is!
Quiltmaker is a great magazine. I would love to see more scrap quilts and miniature quilt patterns.
Would like to see lots of small quilts and paper pieced quilts.
At this present time I don’t have any of the 100 block books yet. The one I’ve looked at was lovely. I would love to win one.
I think I would like to see more pages — in other words, more of the same. I like that your magazine appeals to quilters of all different abilities. Thoroughly enjoy the scrap quilts (Bonnie Hunter) — maybe a mystery? I just like it, and look forward to its arrival in my mailbox.
quiltschon@att.net
I am having fun with the Hop….I am more traditional with my quilt making and would love to see more pieced blocks in the year to come….thank you
Love QM just as it is but would like more info on quilting on a domestic machine as I don’t have a long arm.
Thanks for a chance to win
HI! SUCH NEAT BLOCKS!
I’D LOVE TO SEE MORE MINIATURE QUILTS!
THANKS FOR SHARING!
I enjoy the magazine and look forward to its arrival. I enjoy seasonal projects to change the look of my home without buying a ton of things. Wallhangings, tablerunners, and lap quilts are an easy way to accomplish that. Keep up the good work!
I’d like to see even more quilting ideas–maybe some options from what the model shows. Love the 100 Blocks magazines!
I love the blog tour! Therre are so many talented designers and so many beautiful blocks! The only problem I have is that I am having a hard time getting to all the sites each day. Maybe you could extend the time and have fewer stops per day?
I’d like to see a variety of projects – some quilts, some small (table runners/placemats, etc). It’s been fun seeing the variety of blocks!
Pingback: Fifteen Minutes of Fun November 6th & 7th | Words & Stitches
Hmmm, that’s a tough question. I guess as an experienced (30 years) quilter, one of the problems I have with the quilt magazines is that so much is not terribly complicated. I like quick and easy quilts as much as the next person but I’d rather see quilts that challenge and teach new skills.
I have been a subscriber for many years and I think that more of what you do is great. It is nice to have a sampling of the the many quilting techniques out there. I agree withy
Many other comments that mins are nice
I would love to see an issue devoted to one holiday, like christmas or fall.
Debbie
I love quick projects so I’d love to see tablerunners with matching placemats & hotpads. I also love baby quilts. Someone is always having a baby.
I really like the variety of different blocks and combinations. So many possiblities.
I have to agree this is a tough question, you have a wonderful magazine as it is. I enjoy all the blog hops you have and I get so many ideas. Thanks. I’ll be back tomorrow.
Each magazine issue just keeps getting better and better. More talented designers and lots more creative blocks. I only piece myself, so any tradiitional pieced blocks is just perfect for my creative blocks. Everyone involved has done a tremendous job and lots of hard work is involved. Thank you to all.
Sandi T.
sandit1@sbcglobal.net
I like seeing different layouts for quilt blocks and reading quilting tips and reviews. Thanks!
I love this magazine and have enjoyed making several of the blocks. I think I would like more quilting ideas since I am trying my hand at free motion quilting.
I have subscribed to your magazine for years and love it! I would like to continue to see ideas for different color ways and/or sizes. Keep up the great work with your publications!
Just more blocks
and their use in various sizes.
I’d like more information on problem solving…wavey borders, hourglass shaped blocks, fixing older quilts that have frayed or the cat clawed, etc.
I enjoy the variety of projects and techniques in every issue. Sometimes I’d like to make a quilt in a different size than shown, so I’d like to see an alternate size option included or a website link for making the quilt other sizes.
You are one of my favorite magazines. I’d love see more colorways (even if it was an online application that we could play with — LOVE that idea!), more “new” designers (maybe add a feature where you showcase 1-3 new designers each month with their blocks & pattern to make it?), and love when a block is shown in a quilt layout with different options. That makes all the difference!
Thanks for another awesome blog hop. It’s always so much fun to see what’s out there!
My mama always said “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” Thanks for the wonderful magazine and the chance to win.
Love your magazine! So many wonderful projects and ideas.
I’ve just started a subscription to Quiltmaker. I like seeing a variety of types of quilts as well as ideas for free motion quilting. Thanks for the chance to win your special issue of 100 blocks.
I´ve never read a Quiltmaker magazine, so I can´t really tell you what´s missing
I like to be inspired when looking at block other people have sewn!
Gun, Sweden
More focus on theme quilts, and wall hanging especially with the Christmas Season approaching. Some of the block I would never use, but others with a holiday in mind always grab my attention.
I like to see the quilting motifs. Please continue to include them.
I’d like to see full size quilts that are fairly easy and doesn’t take a lot of time in piecing together,
I would love to see what you always do. I love the blocks. I love all the new inspirational ideas that real people create. You already do a fantastic job, so just keep doing what you’re doing!!! Thanks so much
I like QM and increasing information on quilting on domestic machines and hand-quilting will be of interest to me. For example, how do you quilt a continuous motif using quilting in an embroidery hoop?
Quiltmaker is definitely my favorite magazine. I have made quite a few quilts from your patterns. I think I would like to see more applique patterns as I’m really getting into that. Otherwise, keep up the good work – great designs, up-to-date fabrics and easy instructions – what more could we ask for?
Quilt maker is a good magazine now. Maybe some miniature quilts, and “modern” quilt patterns would be fun!
Love your magazine! I am interested in miniature quilt patterns and would like to get some inspiration for future projects from Quiltmaker.
I would like to see some small practical projects for home or gifts.
I would love to see more simple paper piecing patterns. Thanks for the chance to win.
I’m new to quilting so anything you put in the new magazine/book will be great and informative to me! I do like the mini quilts though!
lisamcgriff(at)hotmail(dot)com
I would say more of the same! I think you have a fantastic magazine. I love Bonnie Hunter’s srappy projects and hope to see more of those!
I would love to see ideas about using cross stitch projects done on Aida cloth as quilt blocks (how to piece and quilt). I am sure alot of us have cross stitch pieces that we could use. I have seen a few of these quilts in magazines, but no detail or tips. I have a really cute Hickory Dickory Dock piece that would be perfect with some fabric I have to make a wall hanging. However I am unsure the best way to put it together. I Love Quiltmaker Magazine!
I’d like more of the same. You have a wonderful variety, something to please everyone.
You guys do such a wonderful job – I love going through every page! How could I improve on that. Thanks for the chance to win.
Would like to see more 6 inch blocks, I just love sewing them. Always enjoy whatever you have in your magazine.
Carol L
I like everything you already do. Keep up the good work.
Quiltmaker has been my favorite quilting magazine for many years. Always a good selection of quilt patterns and I expecially love seeing the different colorways. The Bonnie Hunter “Addicted to scraps” always has great blocks. The Quiltmaker/QuiltyPleasures blog is a daily must for me.
Hmmmm. Perhaps more big block quilts, English paper piecing, and machine paper piecing. But I really do like your magazine already!!
oh, that’s easy! You say that QM in 2013 is going to do a lot of applique? well, then, please feature tons of Celtic work (Scarlett Rose’s are AWESOME, just as in her past 100 Blocks features–I want to do some of her patterns). Blocks, knots, knot-like borders. And expand the quilting motifs to include more Celtic knotwork-type stencils!
You’re my favorite magazine because you have more quilts that I actually want to make in every issue! Even though there’s a variety of styles featured, the styles are still what I want to make.
Can’t wait until Vol 6 comes out – I have all but the first Vol., and refer to them often. I love Laura Blanchard’s Split Decision block shown above. It reminds me of the Arrowhead block of which I have made several quilts , but the center of Laura’s block is so much more interesting. Can’t wait to try it.
I’d love to see more quilts using the 100 Blocks.
I just got my first 100 blocks book. I love it … so many quick and easy ideas. Keep them coming.
I really like the articles that explain the different methods of doing things–like the article on different methods of applique. I also really liked the short story by Jennifer Chiaverini that you had–would love to see more of those.
Would love to see more miniature/doll quilts, redwork, or embroidered quilts. How about a short quilt mystery story or other quilt related stories. Thanks!
I love the variety in your 100 Blocks series and look forward to purchasing the new one the next time I get into the city. Please continue to have blocks for various skill levels. Thanks for a great job.
Whoo Hooo, it’s getting closer to the big prize/s give away. Good luck to all us entrants, huh! I will say just keep on doing what you’re doing as the popularity of Quiltmaker is way up there. Thank you so much for this blog!
I’d like to see some quilts, etc made from the 100 blocks, could be from previous series….
I would like to see blocks in different colorways and in different choices of settings!
I enjoy the magazine and the blog tour!
THANKS
sao in Midlothian, VA
I would love too see some more mini quilts as I am interested in that and more internation designs. thank you!
I just started learning applique and paper piecing. So to me this would be interesting. I would also like to attempt a stack and wack too.
Thanks for asking !
I would like to see each quilt pattern accompanied by a couple of different kinds of quilting. New ideas are always welcome! Thank you for the great giveaway!
Oh boy – Quiltmaker is hands down my favorite magazine already and the only one I am willing to subscribe to as nearly every issue is valuable…I would like to see some things for men -and I already love how you show things in multiple colorways.
I love the scrappy quilts and seeing quilts made out of the different blocks, featuring some free motion quilting on them or blocks to quilt as you go would be nice too! thanks!
I like to see differents layout and quilts made with several blocks and fabrics. Thanks for the chance!!
Hmmm, toughquestion but like others, I would love to see more smaller/mini quilts. Thanks for a chance at the give-away!
Often quilt magazines will rate a quilt with beginner, moderate, advanced, etc. But what I would like to see is examples of the machine quilting for each quilt, samples of what a beginner, a moderate, and advanced quilter could use to finish up the quilt!
Thanks for the chance to win. I would enjoy reading how the different designers got started on their journeys in the quilting industry.
I would like to see an article on how to set up a quilting craft area. This would include ideas for storing your stash safely in an organized manner, lighting options, work tables, etc.
I don’t know what more I would like to see. I love some of the blocks in this issue. I’m going to have to get it when it comes out digital!
I really think you are doing all things well. continue with quilts to male fro babys and children . small wall hangings are good too.
I like the pre-cut projects – specifically with fat quarters.
So many blocks that I want to try!
….Maybe an instructional article about how to get my space back in order! haha…I would also like to see beginner quilting techniques.
I’d love to see either a row-by-row mystery quilt or a medallion center mystery!
And more of the Patch Pals!
any and all shortcuts and tips for newbies are ALWAYS welcome (since I’m a newbie)!
What a great block hop! The blocks are wonderful. So many great ones. Love the magazines.
love what you already do. if could show different setting options for some of the quilts would be great. thanks for everything you already do
My favorite thing is miniature or smaller blocks in scrappy style. But I also like any pieced block that has different looks depending on where the lights and darks are placed.
Quilt ideas for charms, mini charms, stacks, rolls, etc. Also small projects would be nice.
I would love to see more applique quilts done in a scrappy style in Quiltmaker.
I prefer strip quilts so would love to see some of those.
I’d like to see ideas for incorporating stash fabrics with what’s popular today. Thanks for the chance to win.
I love strip quilts but keep doing what your are doing because it is wonderful!!!!!
Thank you
sandyb720 at gmail dot com
I would like to see some special baby and children’s quilts. We see a lot of quick and easy ones, but sometimes we have a grandchild or a special friend who is expecting and want something thatnisban heirloom or really special quilt. I always likebsomethingnthat can be personalized as well. It can use embroidery by machine or hand to personaliz instead of just appliqué.
I’ve had to think for quite some time. I already like the patterns and projects in Quiltmaker. I’m beginning to collect wool in thrift shops and felt it at home. Would love more small wool projects to use my new “stash.”
Everyone has great suggestions. I agree with different colorways and settings. Sometimes it’s hard to imagine what it would look like so it’s nice to actually see it. Your magazine is so great I’m not sure anything is needed.
Thank you and all the great Sponsors for awesome giveaways and the chance to win.
usairdoll(at)gmail(dot)com
I like that you feature some quilting designs for the quilts in each issue, but I would love to see more quilting designs. Another suggestion would be for different sizes for each quilt. Thanks for such a great magazine and for the nice giveaways you have.
Another day of great designs by great designers!
I like paper pieced quilts, and blocks.
Oh wow, what a hard question. I just love your magazine like it is. But, if you need to add to it…….. how about miniatures or paper pieced blocks.
I love your applique & Bonnie Hunter’s scrap quilt blocks.
I would like to see lots of small projects and scrappy quilts…also, new designs–I am always wanting to see new designs!!!
You’ve created the magazine and done such a great job with the layout of it with each type of quilt block clearly shown whether it’s a pieced, applique, or paper pieced block. About the only thing I see lacking would be to have a section with bloggers who also do machine embroidery quilt blocks. I have been doing machine embroidery since 2003 and have in mind two digitizers that I know of who might very well be interested if you wanted to get ahold of me. One of them has a blog but, I’m not positive about the other. I know many other digitizers create In the Hoop quilt blocks which might be of interest to those who have embroidery machines. But, possibly since that really is crossing over into another area it might not be of interest at this point in time.
I think it would be wonderful to consider having an option when subscribing to Quiltmaker to allow us to pay extra so we don’t have to go to the bookstore or order the 100 blocks issues separately. It would be great to either subscribe two ways; one as it is now and the other option to pay for those 100 blocks issues so they will come directly to our homes. I know that would be VERY good for me since I’m disabled legally and have a problem walking so I have to get my husband to leave work on his lunch hour to drive over to the bookstore to pick mine up.
Traditional blocks made in non-traditional fabrics are always interesting. I also agree with others’ suggestions about seeing more mini-quilts. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I would like to see more hand embroidery blocks (maybe they are in the magazine, i just haven’t seen them in the blog tour) I love Meg Hawley from Crabapple Hill Studio and i believe you have featured her before as well as Robin Kinglsley from Bird Brain Design before. I did see Arlene Neeley and i love her bunnies , thanks. Please keep up the good work, i love seeing all the different styles and designers and the magazine. scarlette shobbs@scarlette.com
I think Quiltmaker has a good mix of projects now. I love that you always suggest quilting motifs; I’ve gotten lots of inspiration there. Whatever else you do, make sure you keep Bonnie K. Hunter’s monthly block!
I’m a new quilter and love the quilts that are a little out of the ordinary. The older styles are beautiful but the newer designs are pretty amazing too. Can us newbies get a bigger variety? Perhaps some help so we don’t fumble so much? LOL
Whatever you provide is wonderful!!!
I would like to see an issue on how to correct my bad habits (that I’ve developed since starting quilting). I am also interested in learning how to machine quilt my quilts.
I’d like to see more about Modern quilts and quilting.
Id like to see some smaller projects, maybe as alternates to a larger piece. I also like modern takes on older patterns and techniques.
I love the QM magazine and all the quilts it publishes. It always has very helpful information.
I already enjoy your magazine a lot, but I would love to see more scrappy designs and more small projects like tabletoppers.
I love it as is, but I wouldn’t object to a few more modern designs.
I’d like to see small projects along with variations that make them personal.
QM is probably my favorite quilting magazine, so I’m not sure you need to change anything. Maybe you could incorporate more of the modern quilts in 2013.
I’m a beginner quilter and am loving what I am seeing in QM. I’d like to see some smaller projects and some tips / hints on how to make some of the harder block easier to make.
I like QM appliques and many of the creative but not over complicated projects. I’m less fond of the many “cute” kid patterns, sorry.
Doll quilts.
I would like to see more machine quilting – I am just starting machine quilting and just devour everything I can find on the subject.
I’d love to see more really scrappy quilts like Bonnie Hunter makes. Thanks for the giveaways.
Your magazine is so wonderful! I’m not sure how it can be improved. It would be fun to see quilts from other countries though. Thank you for your giveaway.

I only see the occasional Quiltmaker, but it’s always nice to see articles and patterns by Bonnie Hunter!
more of the same. in other words…just keep up the good work !!
More step-by-step photos of the construction process. I love many of the projects and the up-to-date fabrics used, but some of the directions can be a bit daunting when it is a new technique.
So many of us read many blogs and websites, visit quilt shows and swoon over the more advanced techniques of quilting. I think it would be nice to see more advanced patterns. Maybe a section that takes it up knotch like the chef Emeril “BAM!”
Just keep doing what you have been doing-great magazine and love all the extras you provide! Quiltmaker is one of my “continuing” subscriptions and a go-to for new projects.
I would love more fat-quarter-friendly patterns.
I’d love to see some beginner tutorials – ones to help some of us get over the fear of trying new techniques
What fun this is and one more day to go !!! Scarlette shobbs@scarlette.com
Maybe some smaller quilts, and even more combinations of different blocks. Or how about an all scrappy block (every block different…) Love the magazine.
I’d love it if you did like Martha Stewart Living does, and let print subscribers have the digital edition for free!
I have actually never read any of your magazines. I hope to win a copy!
More mini quilts.
I love the variety of the blocks in Vol 6. I’m VERY new to quilting so any tips, techniques, tutorials, etc. even the ones seasoned quilters would assume I should know would be greatly appreciated by me and maybe great refreshers for those not so new to the craft.
I really liked the Pal’s quilts you had. They are wonderful love to see more of those. I think some more masculine designs too. I love the magazine, keep it up.
Quiltmaker is by far, my favorite magazine. I’ve been getting it for years and can’t throw out a single issue. I’d like to see more scrap quilts. After a LOT of years of quilting, I have accumulated a LOT of scraps.
I want to see pet theme quilts

I like the variety of articles and projects you guys already offer.
This is a great magazine! I will never get all my “good intentions” done!
