Tunnel vision is my favourite so far
My favorite block so far is “Bird of Happiness”.

The sweet owl block from Mary of The Tulip Patch is very fetching. But my vote (from this selection) is for Bonnie Hunter’s Big Bang. Lots of lovely opportunities for scraps.

Bird of Happiness is my favorite so far. I love doing applique work with additional embellishments of buttons, beads, lace and embrodiery.
Cosmo Cricket’s LOVE block is my favorite so far.
Honestly, the Bird of Happiness by Gretchen Gibbons really has me wanting to try it! With its mixed fabrics and techniques, I think it would make a nice pillow challenge
I like the Roly Poly Owl block. It’s a fun way to use the traditional drunkards path block.
You can’t beat the flowers in the Bird of Happiness block…if only I appliqued:(

I’ve seen lots of great blocks so far! One that I especially like is Doodle Bug because it just makes me smile. Oh, and the one that can be an owl or a fish is very cute and clever.

I’m a fan of applique though I am very slow in making them. I love the puppy above as it reminds me of Saturday cartoons with the kids and now my grand kids. Wonderful memories!

I get to show 3 of my Tester Blocks today! My favorite is hard to choose. I liked the colors for Diane Bohn’s Something Springy block. Mary Lane Brown’s owl– especially when it’s a fish!– is my favorite, with the darling arctic seal pup not too far behind. Two all-time favorites of mine are Jennifer Chiaverini (of course) and Debby Kratovil (whom I’ve had for three classes at Quilting Expo and from whom I would happily take 30 more) are also represented and have beautiful blocks.

I love a lot of them but my favorite is Debby Kratovil’s Divided Diamonds Block. My next favorite would be Jennifers Coffee Mill block. They are all great blocks but those are my two favorites.

All of the blocks so far are exceptional. Still, I have to choose one and that one would be Doodle Bug. This is so cute and would make a perfect bug bucket for a child. I can just see this on Christmas Eve. My great nephew’s eyes would be so big and I can just see the smile on his face. I always love Bonnie Hunter’s blocks, but my favorite today was the owl from Tulip Patch because my mom has always loved owls–I need to make that one for her.

All the blocks are fabulous, BUT, I have to say Happy Puppy is my favorite. My daughter is expecting my first grandchild, and is decorating the nursery in a Puppy Theme, so will HAVE to make this. Will have to have Vol. 6. Thanks for the preview!

I just love “tunnel vision” it is so beautiful in those colors. However the puppy block is just adorable and as I am one with 9 grand kids.
Mary over in the Tulip Patch has adorable owls. I especially bonded with the owl whose eyes are going every which way. I can soooo relate on some days!
Day two designers are just as fun as day one! Lots of really great block designs… makes me want to get in the sewing room!

I love Jennifer Chiaverini’s books and her block is so pretty! Love that she shows it done in several different fabric combinations. It helps me visualize how it might look in fabrics I have.

Tunnel Vision is the most unique so far. Really interesting.
Oh gosh, choosing my favorite block so far is not an easy thing. There are so many awesome blocks and many are sharing the top spot in my favorites list for different reasons. I guess if I have to choose just one, it has to be the Doodle Bug block from Whistlepig. That is just an adorable block and because I am thinking about children/baby quilts it’s a great option for me to use very soon.

The Big Bang block by Bonnie Hunter is definitely my favorite. I also like the Bird of Happiness block by Gretchen Gibbons.

I love the Bird of Happiness block! I want to make one.
So far the Big Bang block is my favorite. Of course, with a whole new set of blocks tomorrow, I could change my mind.

I always love Bonnie Hunter’s designs and Big Bang is no exception. But I also really like Cross Keys by Gem Hill. I love the way she set it together with pieced sashing.
I think Scrap Attack is so far my favorite. I can see me using up lots of scraps with it!
Diane Bohn’s paper pieced star is, well, stellar! I love the second arrangement–I never really thought about switching out pieces for white to make a smaller version of it. She’s so darn clever! Also, Melissa pink and black block really caught my eye–such a dynamic pairing of color and it looks like the secondary design will be just as fabulous. Ohh, Marica Derse–she has been my favorite designer for years now and I’m so excited to see her fabrics on your cover! The red/green/yellow combo is a stunner :O)
My favourite so far is Denise Russart’s Snow Day.

I spent over 5 hours on Tuesday afternoon and evening trying to get to all these blogs. Good thing my hubby wasn’t home for supper. The election must have slowed the computer down. But now it is past midnite, and it is Wed , and it turns out that one of the simplest blocks, the LOVE block is my most likely to get done in the very near future, since it is so versatile! Thanks for these 100 blocks tours, this is my 4th.
I like Karen Combs Smoky Mountain block. I really like her choice of colors.

All the blocks are great but my favorite today is “Dancing Leaves” by Ann from Gingham Girls.
I haven’t made it to all the blogs from yesterday yet but so far today I really love the block designed by Melissa Corry at Happy Quilting. She designed a block that looks like it has lots of possibilities.
So hard to choose. . .but Big Bang made a BIG impression. Thanks for doing this.

Out of today’s choice of 13 blocks, I like both the acorn and the doodle bug. If I have to choose, I would take the acorn.

What great blocks – my choice would have to be the puppy. We have a black and white dog with one black eye and one white eye! Then Tunnel Vision – what a great block. Also loved the bird applique…….how’s a girl to choose?
Love everything paper-piecing, so of course my favorite so far is paper-pieced — Something Springy. (And that Arctic Seal sure is cute too!)

Dancing Leaves by Ann Weber of ginghamgirls blog is my favorite from yesterday.
I enjoy the Quiltmaker’s magazine, and I love when a new Quiltmaker 100 block comes out. I buy all of the vols. and will be glad to get vol.6 on the 13th.I am a fan of Bonnie Hunter, and do alot of her scappy quilts, I love her “Big Bang”. I love Karen Combs designs, and her “Smokey Mountain”. There are so many that I love to choose from, that why it will be nice when the magazine releases.
I appreciate it for all the hard work of all the designers, and for the Quiltmaker magazine to publish this for all the Quilters out there.

I rather like the Gretchen’s Bird of Paradise block.
I am beginning to love wool applique as a change of pace so the Bluebird of Happiness would be my favorite choice so far.

I checked out three blogs this time – Jennifer Chiaverini, Bonnie Hunter and Debbie Kratovil. I have taken classes from BH and DK, and won JC’s Rosa’s Collection of FQs in Williamsburg! I do love the Coffee Mill block from JC, and enjoy both paper piecing and applique – trying to get more accuracy!
Birds Holding a Quilt is my very favorite block so far. It’s cute and quirky.
