I visited Erin’s blog at Why Not Sew and I love the tutorials and free patterns she has.
I loved Kimberly’s (of the Jolly Jabber) flower block! So gorgeous and inspiring (I’d like to try that one someday)!
I enjoyed Judy’s Patchwork Times, and her pattern Rainbow Dreams.
I visited each one of the sites (except one that I could not open) and found so much inspiration in each one. Susan Marth has the cutest Baby block as well as Erin Cox’s little birds
Thanks for yet another inspiring edition of 100 Blocks!
I just loved Pat Harrisons block. Christmas is my favorite time of the year and her block is wonderful.
I visited sewhooked.com this morning. I LOVE her website. She has some really awesome paper piecing instructions, some really GREAT free quilt patterns and some really nice blog posting in regards to her quilts. I recommend anyone go visit her site. It’s a great site!
love Nancy Mahony’s FL rose block and how she combined it with another block and I especially liked the colors she used.
Looked at several. Susan Marth’s block for baby quilt was adorable. I love playing with alphabet designs. I was at the Quilt Festival last week & saw some of these artists quilts. They are all very gifted designers.
I really liked a number of the blocks but my favorite today is Laura Nownes’ Asian inspired block. I have fabric I picked up in Japan that has been waiting for just the right block or pattern-found it! Thanks Quiltmaker for doing these blocks.
I’m a follower of Judy Laquidara’s blog and love her block in the new issue of 100 blocks. It looks so fun for a kid-friendly quilt. Thanks for offering the chance of getting a copy of the magazine.
I LOVE the 100 Blocks Issues. I love applique work done by hand and all the blocks in these issues are just wonderful. I have done many of them and love them!!!! Keep up the good work. I am going to look thru alot of blogs today too!!!! Thank you so much for all the fun info!!!
I was inspired by All About Applique. Having just taken a class in Wool Felt Applique, this just reinforced my desire to learn.
Oh what fun visiting all of these blogs was. This tour is a great idea. I found blogs I hadn’t seen before. My favorite so far is PamKittyMorning’s block. The secondary design formed when the blocks are put together is great. I also love the applique blocks. Thanks
I really liked Justquiltin with Denise Russart’s blog. The block is adorable on it’s own. But the blog shows it in a full quilt and with some adaptations that can be made in color and in design elements that will keep it form being too repetitive. The “night time” sledder was great as was the addition of the hat on some of the sledders.
I really love Denise Russart’s designs and learned that she uses EQ software to design her work….except for her current block in QM’s Vol.6. I’m sew looking forward to getting my copy of your latest 100 Blocks issue! Thanks sew much for this chance to win
My favorite block today for sure was the adorable Birds Holding a Quilt at Why Not Sew’s blog. I LOVE that block.
I have to add though that the block at Pam Kitty Morning was great because it gave new ideas on how to use Spool Blocks. I’d never seen a Spool Block use in any other way that just as the spool itself so this was great.
I am soooo glad you chose Judy Laquidara to be a block designer in this issue! She has a distinct style when it comes to designing, and her block is exactly as I would expect from this fabulous blogger!
All the blogs today were great, But Erin’s “Birds Holding a Quilt” was just too cute!
I want a book!
I’m about halfway though today’s blog tour. My favorite so far is Pam McGinnis’s Spools block, but Judy Laquidara’s block is a close second. So many blocks, so little time!
I looked at several of the blogs posted. I really enjoyed PKM. I loved her block.
I always love Laura Nownes wordpress blog Seehowwesew
It is fun and informative and gives me great ideas!
I really enjoyed reading and learning from Erin Cox’s blog. I am not new to quilting but I love learning new technique’s and her quilt is great with the new way to applique. I would love someday to have a blog of my own to share my talents, tips and tricks with the sewing and quilt world. Reading everyone’s blog’s and having the confidence to just get out there and share with the world is so inspiring to me. I hope to be among this great blog world. And I would like to thank all of you for sharing your talents and your lives with us.
I visit Erin Cox. The simplicity of her patterns are encouraging for a newbie like myself. Just a few squares, and some simple birds create wonderful results!
I specially enjoyed reading Jennifer Ofenstein’s blog post. I liked that she shared the process of creating a pattern, how you start with a basic idea and then add on to it until it becomes a complete picture.
Loved judy and elizabeth’s blocks. The designs are sonafsptable. Thanks
I really enjoyed Sewhooked’s Scarecrow Surprise. It is a wonderful fall project and it is paper pieced. Something that I love doing. It is colorful and lively…what a fun square to make a fall project come alive. I also loved looking at all the other patterns that she has done. Can’t wait until the new 100 Blocks Volume 6 goes on sale. It will make a great addition to all the ones that I have already and enjoy sewing from so much. What a way to make a quilting hobby more fun!!! Thank you so much.
My favorite is Laura Nownes Asian inspired block. I have lots of Asin fabrics I can use in a quilt made with this block.
i lkie justquiltin with Denise Russart not so much because of the snow block, but her bold use of color in her other quilts…want that new magazine, win or purchase!!
I love the fatquartershop blog. Their patterns are both simple, but striking. That’s what I need! Thanks.
Erin Cox’s little birds are so cute and cheerful! A great pattern to work on when it is dreary outside!

My two favs were Pam Kitty and Nancy Mahoney. I saw the spools in Pam Kitty’s block before I even read the name of it!
And I love everything Nancy Mahoney does. She is very talented!
I loved this Blog Hop!
I looked at all the blocks and congratulated its authors! They are great designers!
But I fell madly in the block of Nancy Mahoney. I love Applique!

I’m so confused with where to leave a comment but trying here! I can’t eait to see the book out and have enjoyed visiting the different websites for tons of inspiration!
I visited all the sites and am now almost overwhelmed with all the inspiration available at the sites.
Love the acorn block will be my first block from the book…..
patchwork times by judy l. is one of my favorite websites. judy has some great information on there as well as tutorials.
It was fun reading through all the blogs, by favorite would have to be Pam Kitty morning.
Loved the block and the beautiful quilt design.
So much fun for Day 1!
Some of my favorites: the little scarecrow, All About Applique’s Sleep Tight, the beautiful zen window by seehowwesew, Spring Favorite by Kimberly (I agree, it would be a great row along block!).
I enjoy when designers post color options for their blocks…amazing what color can do to a design!
So many wonderful blogs for Day 1. I love the Scarecrow Surprise block by Jennifer Ofenstein of Sew Hooked. It is the perfect reminder of fall which is my favorite time of year. I loved how he was shocked at the bird. There were so many different blocks it was hard to choose one. They were all wonderful in their own way.
I love following this blog tour, what fun! What great quilt blocks. I follow 3 of the above blogs everyday.
It was tough to only pick one, but I think Erin Cox’s “Whynotsew” was my favorite. I love the block in a block idea, especially with her little birds highlighting the little block.
My favorite blog listed is Susan Marth of suznquilts.wordpress.com/.
I enjoy the variety of appliqué her blog features.
I liked Laura Nownes’ description of designing a block based on fretwork in a local restaurant. Both the Chinese and the Celts loved “fretty” designs, and the famous “Greek key” has similar geometric elements.
I’m a follower of Kay Mackenzie and love her patterns. Would love to win this book.
I visited 7.Nancy Mahoney nancymahoney.com/blog/ & loved her Florida rose quilt. Thanks for the chance to win.
I loved the spool block at the Pam Kitty Morning blog-and seeing how the block would look made into a quilt. So cute!

Loved both the blocks from Pat Harrison and Laura Nownes. Cant wait to get the issue so many lovely blocks and ideas on just the first day of the blog hop. <3
I love to paper piece so that first block you showed is beautiful!!!!
I love just about all of the blocks. Square City by Elizabeth (Don’t Call me Betsy) really caught my eye primarily because of its versatility and its totally scrap-friendly nature.
I loved the two birds holding the “small” quilt… can’t wait to get this issue!
Justquiltin’s Denise Russart may not be ready for snow yet this season, but her Snow Days block has me thinking about cosying up to a warm fire and with some hot chocolate and my latest quilting project!
I visited all of the blogs above & found two favorite blocks. One is from Pam Kitty & the other is from Laura Nownes. Thank you for all the beautiful blocks.
a.ladyfarmer at yahoo dot com
I loved them all but I am partial to the flower blocks and though Kimberly Jolly’s Spring Favorite was really neat. Can’t wait to get the new book and now I want to get the rest. Thanks for the blog hop it helped be decide to get all the 100 block books.
Although there was much to be gleaned from all the blogs, my favorite was Laura Nownes. The pictures from the different events she attended (with their links) were amazing and I found myself clicking and reading for quite some time. Loved it!

Pick me!! Pick me!! I love the acorn block. Will be really cute on a wire stand.
Love this block…..it’d make great corner stones in a sampler quilt.
I visited “Don’t Call Me Betsy” for the very first time. Love it. I am looking forward to making her square city in a very scrappy version. I have yards and yards of scraps just waiting to be used.
I liked Jennifer’s Holly Jolly quilt pattern.
I have read Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara since she first started her blog. I also visited whynotsew by Erin Cox. I’ll visit the others as time allows. Thanks for the chance to win!
I liked “seehowwesew.wordpress.com”. It was interesting seeing how the grillwork in the Asian Restaurant influenced her block.
“Birds Holding a Quilt was my favorite block. It was on Erin Cox’s blog.
Another great start to what promises to be another great tour. I loved most of the blocks and blogs, but I have to say I really liked going through Erin Cox’s tutorial on free form stitching around applique. It’s just the technique I’ve been looking for to use on a quilt I’m making for my granddaughter. Thanks!
I visited all of the blogs listed. Some I have been a follower for a while. I think the one I liked best was “Don’t Call Me Betsy”. She has a very informative blog. Thanks for the chance at winning something. Hugs
What a fun tour. Be sure to go to JustQuiltin site to see the cute kids pulling sleds (Snow Days) and the quilt of the sledders. A nice site!
My favorite would have to be 8. Jennifer Ofenstein sewhooked.com. Her block is great. There are not many fall blocks out there. Mostly leaves. So this is great.
At the Fat Quarter Shop blog, I found the perfect block for using Christmas/winter fabrics called Hit the Slopes.
Just finished touring all of todays blogs and my favotire is Nancy Mahoney’s. I am in love with her Florida Rose and plan to start working on it as soon as I can.
I loved Kay Mackenzie’s All About Applique. She highlights techniques and promotes great books and patterns, even if they aren’t hers. My favorite, perhaps because I love Christmas so much, is Santa’s Loading Dock Quilt by Mary Buvia.
Right off the top, as they say. Why Not Sew? Made me laugh, smile and share the quilt block with others on my blog and on Facebook. The cute birdie block helping or showing a quilt with all its whimsical goodness was wonderful.
I also joined more than a few sites after visiting them. Thanks for all the fun!
This blog tour is so exciting. My 1st love is applique, but Pam Viera-McGinnis’ block “Springtime Spools” is going to be so much fun to make in scrappy colors.
I went to them all but the little birds holding the threads are so cute – Erin Cox whynotsew.blogspot.com – but all the blocks were great.
M
I love seeing the creativity on every blog. I esp. love the little birds on Why not Sew. Plus I’m a big appliqué fan, so Nancy Mahoney’s blog is great, and Kay MacKenzie, too. I guess I just like them all.
Love the blog tour. Always learn a ton and discover (or rediscover) some great designers. Love Pam Mahoney’s site and am headed back there to poke around some more. Thank you!
I too have noticed the grid in Asian restaurants , How fun that Laura Nownes made it into a quilt design.
Loved Laura Nowne’s blogs. I live nearby and have met her several times and always enjoy her upbeat personality and her quilting talents. Quilting in the Garden was fantastic, as always! Amazing venue, amazing quilts, amazing artist, amazing visitors!
I really like the curly-que letters on the block submitted by suznquilts. I’m hoping there’s patterns for more of the alphabet…
I really liked Elizabeth Dackson’s (dontcallmebetsy.com) Square City Block. It looks like a fun block to make with scrapes and makes an interesting overall pattern when used for the entire quilt.
I love Erin Cox and Why Not Sew! I found her machine drawn Birdie blocks a while ago and fell in love. It was somewhat of a revelation to see that machine drawing doesn’t have to be “perfect” to create perfectly darling blocks/quilts. Great encouragement for those of us who are a little OCD with our quilting as well as those of us who are precision-challenged. Also have been following her hand pieced Quilt-a-long sampler quilt. It combines traditional patterns with fun fabrics to produce a quilt that is ‘traditionally modern’ and fun and dainty to boot.
Pam Morning Kitty’s website!! I love the fabric so so so much! Plus her block is my favorite. She has a very cute blog, and lots of info. Thanks for the chance to win. I liked all the blocks today and the quilter’s websites as well.
Love to see all the new blocks.
I loved Jennifer Ofenstein’s scarecrow block!
Naturally, they’re all wonderful. I went back-and-forth between several of them. Having to pick one, I went with Patchwork Times — I’ve never been a patchwork gal, but the colors Judy is using make it mesmerizing. Makes me want to try it!
I enjoyed my visit to all the blogs today, but I think I’ve found a new favorite at PamKittyMorning. She’s got such a colorful, warm vibe. Vintage and modern at the same time!
I like how bright and cheery PamKittyMorning blog is!

I love Kimberly Jolly’s Fat Quarter Shop. They have such a fabulous collection of Block of the Months that I’m tempted to start a new one each month. Plus they have an awesome array of fat quarters and FQ packets. The new travel Rowenta (at 25% off) as shown on FQ Shop’s blog looks like a deal.

I am an applique fanatic, so I love Nancy Mahoney’s Florida Rose!

Loved going to all the blog spots and seeing the beautiful block designs. blog #11 would not open for me it just gave me a blank page so I missed that block (which I assume is the Acorns Away because I never saw that block).
Looking forward to tomorrows blogs (after I return from working the polls) DO NOT FORGET TO VOTE this is a privilege given to so few in our beautiful world.
I’ve been a Quiltmaker reader since the early 1990′s. It’s fun to peruse back issues to see how designs have changed. (And so many that appealed to me 5, 10, or 15 years ago still do!) I’ve enjoyed the 100 blocks series and welcome the new edition.
Nancy Mahoney’s block is lovely. I like the way she gave a virtual layout.
So many choices– it hard to decide which is the one for me.
The little bird block by “why not sew” is just about as cute as they come!
I like the block from Judy at Patchworktimes, a very versatile block.
I liked Laura Nownes blog. Great photos of events local to me. Great way to share.
I love the Snow Day block from Justquiltin–it’s a great start for a kid’s quilt.
I’m babbling with Nancy Mahoney block, looks so easy to do…, that’s why applique’s one of my favorites!!!
Visited them all-what creativity. Love Nancy Mahoney’s designs.
I love the Florida Rose on Nancy Mahoney’s site. I don’t usually do applique, but this block may change my attitude! It’s so pretty. Thanks for Publishing these 100 block magazines. They are so fun!
Loved Erin Cox’s block with the cute birds and the appl. technique.
Going to try doing that myself.
I really enjoyed visiting a few new-to-me blogs! Love the tutorials on Sew Hooked! Thank you for the fun!!
I LOVE the “Birds Holding a Quilt” block at http://www.whynotsew.blogspot.com/. My blog is JennyWren’s nest so this just seems perfect for a block I should make!! It is the cutest dang block ever!!
txjennywren.blogspot.com
So many of these blocks are super-cute, but those adorable birdies have won my heart. That block combines my fave piecing along with JUST enough applique to make it do-able. Layer on that stinking cute design, and it becomes irresistible.
Couldn’t open the Quilters’ Newsletter blog, but all the others were wonderful. Each gave inspiration. When I first started teaching (many years ago), I used Laura Nowne’s book — it was like meeting an old friend, to see her block and I am already planning to make it. Thanks for the great introduction to this next issue!
Looking at your quilt patterns is such an inspiration. Would love to win one of the prizes.
Kay Mackenzie allaboutapplique.net Love, love, love applique! There is so much you can do with it. I am going to try something like the Sleep Tight pattern. Just love the bed as the base!
I love the variety of blocks. I especially liked that See How We Sew showed the inspiration for her block.
I fell in love on the first site I went to with the birds holding a quilt! That is so cute but there were a lot more of the sites that also inspired me! Thanks for hosting this blog hop.

After looking at these 13, I can’t wait for tomorrow.
I am a brand new quilter and so I am awed by all of the blocks I saw but the one that really “spoke to me ” is “Birds Holding a Quilt” by Erin @ Why not sew? Looking at her choice of colors and the details on her block makes me want to go and buy those fabrics and make Erin’s block. I took some time to browse through her blog a little and can see that her style is so totally inspiring to me. Thank you for the opportunity to receive a free copy of Quiltmaker. I can see that I need this magazine whether I win a copy or not so I will be keeping an eye out for it when it hits the stores!
I love the way Elizabeth Dackson shows her block in several different color ways. Doesn’t even look like the same block. Can hardly wait to receive the 100 block magazine one way or another!
I love Nancy Mahoney’s blog and her block. I’ve learned so much about applique from reading her posts. The block done in res & green is just gorgeous!
I really enjoy reading Judy’s Patchwork Times blog. I live on a farm too so I enjoy her chicken stories along with all her quilts.
Thank you for the chance to win!
I was sent these blogs in my email and was so excited to view them all.I am a self taught quilter and prefer hand quilting. I am always looking for interesting blocks, and there are so many here. I took a peticular interest in Denise Russarts. Snowday.! My compliments Denise. Amazingly done, beautiful collection of material and simple yet capturing depth and emotion. I will be attempting this block myself. Thankyou so much. I can hardly wait to get my 1st magazine.
Wow such wonderful ideas on every site, how can I make more time to use your wonderful inspirations, Thanks Nessa
I liked the story of how Denise at Justquiltin’ developed her block. And I remember well flying saucer toboggans.
I always enjoy seeing what is going on at the Fat Quarter Shop
I would love to win the latest issue.
I’m so excited about another issue coming out…my 100 block magazines are my faves!
I love the variety of all the blocks posted and think I will start with Judy’s block…looks fun to piece!
I especially enjoyed Jen Ofenstein’s paper-pieced scarecrow–and her early versions, too. It’s always fun to see a design evolve. [Denise Russart did the same on her post.] Jennifer’s other designs in earlier posts also show a lot of creativity.
I enjoyed seeing all the blocks, but found the scarecrow block on Jennifer Ofenstein’s block especially charming! Thank you for the opportunity to see all these blocks.
Though you may have said three blogs, I actually went crazy and visited many more! Such great blogs and love the creative names! Everything a person would want to learn from traditional applique (Nancy Mahoney) to foundation pieced (the scarecrow) and then Snow Day! Thanks for sharing all these links! I would love to win a copy of the magazine! Just creativity all bound in one magazine!
I’m a Patchwork Times fan from way back and always enjoy her blog!
Anybody else get a blank page when using the link for Susan Geddies?
5.Judy Laquidara patchworktimes.com I enjoy reading Judy’s stories about her chickens and her canning. I laughed out loud reading about Judy & Vince buying canned vegetables and oh so much sugar on a trip to the dollar store.
Pam Vieira-McGinnis was my favorite, however, it was a really tough decision. Lots of great ones and so much variety! Can’t wait for the 13th!
Judy Laquidara’s Patchwork Times is one of my all time favorite quilting blogs — she keeps lots of interactive things going on and she’s got a darling sense of humor — not to mention color!!
The Fat Quarter Shoppe is my favorite place to dream about fabric. Their blocks are so pretty too. Thanks for the chance to win!

In Williamsburg, I took Nancy Mahoney’s class – wonderful. Love her Florida Rose

OOOhhhh….loved the block and fabric at pamkittymorning’s site. My bucket list is getting longer…. Thanks!
gostei demais do bloco dos pássaros segurando a colcha, comentei lá que eles estão em lua de mel…tão romântico imaginar os dois estendendo a cama(ninho?)Obrigada.tiacarminhapezzuto@gmail.com
So excited about volume 6, really wish to win one this time around. My favorite block is Snow Day by Denise Russart, it brought back so many memories of sledding in Eastern Canada as a child. This is one that I will be making as soon as I can get the pattern.
It’s really hard to pick a favorite from today. One thing I absolutely love about these block blog tours, is getting to experience the diversity and range of all the designers! I am drawn to Pat Harrison’s block with it’s fussy cut op in the middle and the large graphic design the block creates depending on the placement
Kudos to Pat and all the designers!
I fell in love with Jennifer Ofenstein’s scarecrow block. The scarecrow looks so shocked that the bird isn’t scared. Fantastic work from all, but I just have my favorites.
Nancy Mahoney has a real talent for applique. Combining her Florida Rose with her pieced block from the last volume was a great idea. It is a reminder that there are endless possibilites!
My favorite was Florida Rose
This blog is the first 100 block blog, I have participated in. It is fantastic seeing all of the participating sites that are taking part in this blog tour. I love seeing all of the new blocks the designers have created they are awesome.
Why Not Sew? and her link to the post about the sketchy applique technique. Love her quilts! Thanks.
I love “quilting in the garden” photos from “see how we sew.” A nice variety of photos and fall accents.
I loved Pam Vieira-McGinni’s blog and her block. :-0
I liked Judy Laquidara’s Rainbow Dreams block. The mix of colors is lovely. Thanks for the giveaway.
I visited all – but the first one, Why Not Sew, I kept coming back to. I love Erin’s block with the little birds holding up a tiny patchwork quilt! Too clever and I am ever so fond of birds so I was instantly smitten. I also liked how easy on the eyes Erin’s blog is – simple, clean, so easy to read! Very enjoyable were all though, love the effort put forth on all the blocks!
I loved Nancy Mahoney’s applique block as well as how she paired it with the Round Robin block for a quilt.
Most of the blogs were new to me, but I was enchanted by Erin Cox’s blog and her charming little thread sketched birds. Great free style idea. Enjoyed my tour through today’s blogs and blocks.
So many great things on the blog hop so far!! WOW!! But, I must say that my favorite block is definitely from Why Not Sew?…those birdies holding up the quilt are just too cute. That’s the block I will make first. I also really enjoyed reading about how Laura Nownes was inspired to make her block–that was terrific!! This is a terrific blog hop–thank you, Quiltmaker!!
I visited all the sites, but I particularly enjoyed reading Denise Russart’s story behind her block. It really brought back long forgotten memories.
I liked don’tcallme betsy’s blog. As a quilter to be I enjoyed seeing the same block in various color combinations.
I love SewHooked.com. She is a very talented pp designer, and I have enjoyed her generosity with her designs.
I liked Denise Russart ‘s. I love anything that has snow or anything to do with snow on it.
I loved the cute scarecrow at Sew Hooked’s blog. I have not yet tried paper piecing but this block has changed my mind. Thank you for your giveaway.
missmoozie(at)gmail(dot)com
I enjoyed seeing all the blocks but was amazed at Nancy Mahoneys block and her use of it in a quilt. So talented!!
I suppose it’s a little cheesy go pick the first blog on the list but I think Erin’s blog is terrific. I love her hand pieced quilt! It’s absolutely wonderful!
One I visited was pamkittymorning.blogspot, I really lived the Springtime spools
I really liked Denise Russart’s blog. She shared the journey from conception, a drawing, through several iterations to finished block. I was fascinated by the process and I love the block. This is really fun getting to know the designers through their blogs.
Love Judy L’s blog. I do the UFO. Her Rainbow Dream block is beautiful!
Thanks for a chance to win. I plan to buy number 6. these are so much fun.
I visited all the websites today. I found the diversity and creativity fascinating. I especially appreciated Nancy Mahoney’s design placed in a quilt with her block from a previous issue. Unusual and interesting look.
I found out about this through pamkittymorning. I loved the block that she made. I can’t wait to make a quilt of my own using Springtime spools block. Thanks for the chance to win and I can’t wait til 100 blocks comes out.
I read Judy L’s blog and am a regular reader. She covers a wide range of topics and always keeps it interesting. Her block is very interesting and I haven’t quite figured the piecing yet. Waiting on the magazine. Looked for it today and obviously didn’t find. But now I see it will be another week.
hard to choose but I particularly liked Hit the Slopes by J Ueng and I’m always a sucker for applique so Nancy Maloney’s Florida Rose appealed to me.
Of the first day features Denise Russart’s blog and block are the winners in my book.
I love the story of the block.
I just visited Jennifer Ofenstein at Sewhooked and I really loved her scarecrow block especially because she added a bird sitting on it. I still have others to read so I am sure that I will find many other great blocks.
I really loved SewHooked paper pieced scarecrow. Jennifer’s site is so inspiring.
I visited all of them but always love going to Elizabeth’s blog. I find her so inspirational.

This is the first Tour I have ever done & i’m loving it!!!!!!
At “Why Not Sew” I loved the page of “Birdie Quilts”. Such a sweet idea and so much inspiration there.
I love the block Erin Cox has on her blog. That one, in my opinion, clearly stood out among the other ones.
Snow day, on Denise Russart’s blog, really touched me in a special way. It brought back happy memories of sledding both from my own childhood as well as with my children. I remember having a saucer like that. It flew down the hills.
When I visited the website “All AboutApplique” I just couldn’t leave the site, she has so many inspiring pictures and links! And Kays block for Vol. 6 looks like it would be a great addition to one of my scrappy quilts.
I have fallen in love with the poinsettia block at Ocean Waves Quilting!!! WOW!!!

Loved the QN Blog because they talked about the Chicken Trilogy!! Always looking for chicken blocks!
Kay MacKenzie makes beautiful appliqués! I love her stuff!
I’m a big fan of Patchwork Times and her block is awesome! My other favorite is Springtime Spools. I can see lots of ways to use these in one of my favorite scrap quilts.
I absolutely love Pam Vieira-McGinnis’ block Springtime Spools. It is different from any pieced block that I have ever seen. While I do foundation piecing, applique and embroidery (Redwork) my absolute favorite is still piecing. I love the connection with quilting in the 4 spools of the block!
All the blogs were great and fun to read. I really liked how Laura Nownes told about being inspired by a room divider to make her block design.
I visited all of the sites but really took a liking to the Scarecrow Suprise Jennifer Ofenstein @sewhooked.com did. I’ve done paper piecing in the past and hope to do some again….just too many other projects on the go! Thanks for the give away

I chose Nancy Mahoney’s blog. I love her block and the colors she picked. I also love how she explains how she picks her blocks for quilts.
I just love the Don’t Call Me Betsy blog. She always has a great project to show and she makes me laugh.
Anything I won from this “100 Blocks” would be used to make a quilt for a Hurricane Sandy victim. I have a pile of fat quarters from Clothworld I won here on an earlier tour that is going to be made into a “Sandy” quilt. Thanks for chosing me in the past, and possibly the future.
I visited all the blogs — I just love seeing the new blocks! I especially appreciated that PamKittyMorning and OceanWavesQuilting showed how multiples of their block would look when made into a quilt!
I love Pam Vieira-McGinnis’ block–it looks a little challenging but I love the look of it.

I love the Birdie quilts that Erin @ whynotsew makes. They’re just adorable!
My favorite blog was Denise Russart. She really brought back some memories. But it such fun to read how each person thinks when they are designing. Some think alot like me, then others are in such another place, it is very interesting to be let inside someone else’s head!
I love Erin’s Why Not Sew blog and her little birds are sooo cute on her block.
I’, very new to quilting, literally 5 months now, and am thoroughly enjoying this blog hop. I’m learning so much. From the Day 1 hop, I particularly liked Pam Kitty’s Springtime Spools. Thanks for the chance to learn about all of these great blogs!
