Quiltmaker’s Treasure Hunt opens today, Tuesday Oct. 2 at 2 pm Mountain time. I hope you’ll grab a Nov/Dec Quiltmaker and get started at your leisure.
Relax and take your time browsing the sponsoring sites. The contest isn’t a race and you have until 11:59 pm MST on Dec. 4 to find all of the buttons. Here’s what one contestant said last year.
I am so excited! As soon as I received my latest issue of Quiltmaker, I made a list of the quilt websites to visit. I originally wanted to visit each site asap, but instead, I will be visiting a new website each day. That way, I’ll be able to really take my time, investigating every aspect of each location. In the real world, I know this is a way to expand these businesses’ email directories, but I am looking forward to finding wonderful treasures along the way.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Thanks, Joyce J.!

The Nov/Dec issue (paper or digital) is the place to begin. Each ad by a sponsor will help lead you to the Treasure Hunt button on the sponsor’s website.
Quiltmaker and 18 industry sponsors will award a total of more than $21,000 worth of quilty prizes to 27 different winners in the Treasure Hunt.

There are two Grand Prizes this year. In the longarm category, Handi Quilter will award a Sweet Sixteen™ sit-down longarm machine worth $5690.

In the domestic category, PFAFF will award a PFAFF® quilt expression™ 4.0 sewing machine with Tool Box worth $2899.
The 25 prize packages will include fabric, books and more; the packages are worth over $500 each.
During the contest we’ll feature the Treasure Hunt sponsors one at a time on Quilty Pleasures. Follow along to see the products they offer and get a few clues, too. There’s plenty of time to complete your entries so take your time and enjoy it!
For details and an entry form, visit the Treasure Hunt contest page. Important note: You do not need to search or find a Treasure Hunt button for Quiltmaker. Click on the “entry form” tab and fill out the entry form. The Treasure Hunt closes at 11:59 pm MST on 12/4/12.

How exciting that sounds! I have not recieved my Nov/Dec copy yet. How can I check to see when it is coming?
Yay, can’t wait to get mine in the mail!
Great, can’t wait for my copy
I’ve been trying, for 4 days, to enter this contest. I have yet to be able to complete all 19 because of three sites; Coats and Clark, Free Spirit Fabric and Red Rooster Fabrics…..their ‘Treasure Hunt’ button does NOT work and on some does NOT exist……..HELP!!!
I really enjoyed the Treasure Hunt. I have had great difficulty finding the treasure hunt icon on 2 websites. After much searching, I was not able to find the icon on the Robert Kaufman site or the Coats and Clark site. Any suggestions or tips???? Thanks!
All the Treasure Hunt buttons are present and work–we verified that before the contest opened–and they have all been found by other treasure hunters.
You can find clues in sponsor ads in the Nov/Dec ’12 issue (some fabric companies have websites listed giving credit to the designer of a quilt featured in their ad; be sure to visit the fabric company’s website).
We’ll also be posting clues in the Treasure Hunt posts featuring individual sponsors throughout October.
Remember that each time you enter, it’s one more chance to win; you do not need to enter at each sponsor to win.
There is no Treasure Hunt button to look for on the Quiltmaker site. To enter from Quiltmaker, go directly to the the contest page and click on the Entry Form tab.
Good luck–and have fun!
