Today QM Rocks the Blocks!
What does that mean?
We’ve taken beautiful blocks from the first five volumes of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks and used them in 19 quilt projects for Quilts from Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, appearing at quilt shops and newsstands today!
To celebrate and to get this issue into as many hands as possible, we’re giving away 20 copies here on Quilty Pleasures! Find the details below.
Some issue highlights we think you’ll enjoy:
Nancy Mahoney took Cornflowers, block #347 from Volume 4…
…and created the stunning Mexican Sunflowers, a 93″ queen with a border to die for!

Mexican Sunflowers, designed and made by Nancy Mahoney, appears in Quilts from Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks, Fall '12 edition.
Ann Weber treats us to a project made with Buckle Up, block #319 from Volume 4.
She made All Buckled Up, below. I love how the buckles embellish the border!

Ann Weber designed and made All Buckled Up, which appears in Quilts from Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks, Fall '12 edition.
And how about Martha Walker’s use of Garden, block #363 from Volume 4?
She created the exciting 36″ wall quilt Posy Path, below.

Posy Path, designed and made by Martha Walker, appears in Quilts from Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks, Fall '12 edition.
QM readers can’t get enough of Sonja Callaghan. She used Lil’ Matryoshka, block #415 from Volume 5…
…to make 13 Lil’ Matryoshki, below. The soft blue and yellow colors are very attractive.

13 Lil' Matryoshki by Sonja Callaghan is patterned in the Fall '12 edition of Quilts from Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks.
And one more. Melissa Corry used Gear Works, block #456 from Volume 5…
…to make Shifting Gears, below.

Wouldn’t this be a great guy quilt?! The 68″ x 80″ throw size is perfect for football watching this winter.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. This issue has all of these plus 14 more quilts!
See all the projects in this issue in the online Table of Contents.

I loved the “Buckle” table runner. I’m going to need a copy of this magazine. I could see it done in Christmas colors with the buckle/belt design done like Santa’s belt. Thanks for the fun!

Garden Block #363 made an awfully cute wall hanging by combining piecing and applique!
I liked the “Shifting Gears” quilt. I have some boys that could use quilts!

I love the Shifting Gears pattern! I am excited to get this magazine, thanks for the chance to win!
I love all the patterns but would probably make the Posy Path first.
Looks very inspiring. Please enter me in the drawing. Many thanks.
Wow! Where to begin! I love the All Buckled Up quilt, and the Shifting Gears would be fun for a child’s quilt. Thanks for another great chance to win.
My favourite quilt is Posy Path, designed and made by Martha Walker, appears in Quilts from Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, Fall ’12 edition. This is definately one to consider making myself.
so they are not free? you have to buy the magazine and then perhaps win a contest??
bait and switch if you ask me and i am removing you from my Facebook!
RE: Lily–you misunderstand. This is a chance for 20 people to win the magazine–no purchase necessary. If you don’t win, you can buy a copy.
Sonja’s dolls are amazing! Love it so much. Thanks!
I’m never disappointed with Quilts from 100 Blocks. If I don’t win one, I buy one. It’s well worth the price and is an additional resource to my quilting library. I’ve bought quilting magazines for as much or more and have been extremely disappointed. This one just doesn’t disappoint.
I love the mexican sunflowers and the matruska’s. Especially the colours of the mexican sunflower attract me.
Mexican Sunflowers is adorable!
I would most likely do the Posey Path first. LOVE…LOVE..LOVE Quiltmaker magazine!
I love to sew and just love the applique’s. Thank you.
I am loving the buckle up box #319..
I love Sonja’s dolls. Great magazine.
SallyKingemail@gmail.com
I’m loving the Buttoned up for Spring and the Pinwheel Farm.
I love the cornflowers pattern!! Can wait to see the entire magazine!!
I like Gear Works and the matching quilt a lot!
I love the quilt that’s front and center on the cover! Very striking!
I think the All Buckled Up would be something I would tackle.
This looks like an awesome issue, and I’d love to have it.
I really like all of them, but if I had to pick one, it would be the Mexican sunflowers!
I loved the Russian dolls, and All Buckled Up runner.
<3 the Mexican Sunflowers…………Thanks for doing this giveaway
I like the Shifting Gears quilt. Nice masculine quilt…………….depending on the color selection.
I like Shifting Gears, it looks like fun. Thanks.
I think I’d like to try the Cornflowers. Thanks for the giveaway!
I LOVE the Russian Dolls…they are so much fun and can be used in so many projects!
I’m loving the Buckle Up pattern… just simplistic and clean in it’s look, but very sweet! Thanks for the GREAT chance to win such a GREAT prize! I LOVE these magazines!!!
They saw all that from those blocks??? Amazing! Gotta keep my eye for it to hit the stands in town!!
I went to the table of contents to find even more eye candy! I think I would start with Moose Tracks…love the secondary pattern of stripes made with triangles.
Thanks for sharing the awesome blocks…. The ideas are endless!!!
I love Shifting Gears – I am planning to make a college-colored quilt for my son (black, white and red for UGA) and this might just be the perfect pattern. Thanks for the chance to win!
I love the cornflowers! I’d love to have the magazine!
Shifting gears looks like a great quilt to try! Not too complicated and no appliqué, which I am not exactly great at. The others are all beautiful though, and I would love to try the buckle one someday. Thanks!
I love Mexican Sunflowers! Thanks for the chance to win!
Beautiful!
Mexican Sunflowers is just amazing…thanks for the chances to win!!
I absolutely love them all!!!!! But I am dying to make the Mexican Sunflower and Buckle Up!!! They are all adorable!!!!! So excited about this issue!!!!!
The center quilt on the cover, abloomin garden, caught my eye right off the bat. I’d love to win copy of this magazine. Thanks for the chance.
From what I have seen here…I WILL be making the Shifting Gears quilt!!!!
Sounds like a trip to the fabric shop coming soon!!!! Great way to begin Fall.
Now the hard part…choosing the colors.
I love Lil’ Matryoshka! Thanks for a chance to win!!
The Little Matroyshka pattern would be perfect for my little granddaughter! Love it. Thanks for the chance to win this magazine.
Such beautiful colors, the quilts are so stunning! My favorite block has to be the cornflower block. The block just pops!
The one in the middle on the cover. It’s gorgeous.
I would love to win this book because I would have the patterns to “put together” and come up with something original. All the patterns are so pretty. Thanks!
I liked the “All Buckled Up” project. The colors are pleasing, the design features some of my favorite, circles. The buckles are so cute! Cute idea and nice project.
I love the “All Buckled Up”!! That is so pretty!!
I really like Shifting Gears. I’m always looking for more “guy” quilts for my nephews. This would definitely work!
Wow – I would definitely make the Martha’s Water garden and Cornflower blocks. I know just the two people who would love a table covering with these patterns. Beautiful magazine with some great ideas.
I love “Mexican Sunflowers”…the border is like nothing else.
All the projects are great though…totally inspiring!!!
Thanks for the chance to win,
~!~Ashley~!~
With all the guys in my life, I would make a Shifting Gears quilt. But love all the flower blocks that there is!!:)
Love Buckle Up!
It would be wonderful to win this magazine but if not, I’ll be buying it!
the dolls are fun, but i really like shifting gears!
The garden block #363 is awesome! I love flowers and am sure I can use my embroidery machine to do the centers of the flowers! It is also scrappy so that I can use up my pieces. I can even see some blocks to use in my next “purse” I make!
I like several patterns, like: All Aglow, Buckle up, My Country, Fiery etc. But since I don’t have a snowballs chance of winning one, I might as well go out and buy one. Thanks.
Who can resist a cute buckle? I’m there!
I really think there are a number of beautiful quilts in this issue that I’d love to try, but ths “Buttoned Up for Spring” would be my first one. That looks like such a pretty quilt and one that would be fun for my Granddaughter. Such a beautiful quilt for sure.
I love the “All Buckled Up”…buckles are such a great idea highlighting this project!
I love Mexican Sunflowers…what a happy quilt!
I loved the Mexican Sunflowers quilt. The borders are gorgeous. Thanks for a chance to win this book.
I love Posey Path pictured here. It highlights the country colors I love. I went to the Table of Contents link to look at the other blocks and I am really intrigued by “Moose Tracks.” I’ve been thinking of making a quilt in neutral colors, but with a lot of movement within the design. “Moose Tracks” might be just the ticket.
I would absolutely have to do Moose Tracks first. I have a sister who I owe a quilt to. She makes fabric moose and sells them at craft fairs. (she’s not a quilter)
And that would be closely followed by Ann Webers basket of flowers table runner. That would be so pretty in my dining room. And, if I don’t win a copy, I’m going to pick one up anyhow cause those project ideas are too good to pass up.
Thanks cause I love the series of 100 block books!
I love your magazine and the 100 blocks magazines are great! The one on the cover in the middle looks very interesting to me. I love black, white and red! Thanks for a chance to wine the book.
Love the colors of the quilts on the cover. Red’s and blacks are so wonderful together.
I really like Mexican sunflowers!
I love the Matryoshka block – so sweet!
Several looking promising but I would probably start with Posy Path!
Wow! The one that really jumped up and grabbed me was Martha Walker’s use of the Garden Block #363. I just love the design and colors. I could see making one with this block for some added pop and color in my sewing room!
The Mexican Sunflowers quilt is just gorgeous – thanks for the giveaway!!
13 Lil’ Matryoshki Has to be the cutest thing I have seen! I love the original colourway, and this will be a gift for my girlfriend Cathy, who is travelling to the Ukraine this month. Hope I get it done in time for her return!
I love the Blocked In quilt!
How fun! The little Russian dolls are adorable, but I think the Nancy Mahoney quilt using the cornflowers block is my favorite. Really gorgeous!
I would so love to win a copy of this magazine. I am currently living on a US Navy base in Japan and they do not carry this magazine at our Navy Exchange store so I can’t just run out and buy a copy. I have a few of your 100 blocks magazines, but am always looking for new inspirations and ideas and I love the flowery ideas you show here. Also the 13 Lil’ Matryoshki reminds me of the Kokeshi dolls available here in Japan.
Thank you so much for your magazines and giveaways.
This magazine would be one I referred to over and over for creative spins on my quilting projects–a great reference for any quilt library! Can’t wait to get my copy!
Love these ideas. I know just who needs a nesting doll quilt.
Buckle up is beautiful as is the cornflowers block, both piqued my interest. I’d love to win the new book. Thanks.
This looks like another hit from Quiltmaker!! Over the years I have had subscriptions to a dozen or more quilt magazines but this is the ONLY one I have had for the past few years. The others just aren’t worth it. I continue to go back to past issues for patterns and inspirations. Lil’ Matryoshki, #415 i PERFECT for a friend’s daughter who was adopted from Russia! If I don’t “win” a copy, I will definitely be going out to buy one! Thank you Quiltmaker for your great magazine. Keep them coming!
I love the cornflowers block, and I want to make the cornflowers quilt!
I love the dolls – but the gears block was a shocker when I saw the quilt! That one really made me realize that you get a completely different look when using a repeat!
I would love to try to make quilts using All Aglow by Nancy McNally or Sonja Callaghan’s Lil’ Matryoshka pattern. They are great for practicing paper piecing technique. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love Posey Path. Definitely on my list. Thank you for the chance to win a copy of the new magazine. It looks great!
Mary
I have always shied away from doing applique. I KNOW I cannot master this technique if I don’t try it! But the pattern “All Buckled Up” just might be the one to get me off the fence. Not too large – not too complicated – a GREAT “first time” pattern!
I like the buckle up flower basket, I think that this would make a great baby blanket in pinks! I can’t wait to get this issue!
My favorite is the All Buckled Up table runner. I would love to make this, and the buckles around the border are very cute. Thanks for a chance.
Nice Cover, Nice quilts inside. Would love to try making a couple of these.
“Buckle Up” is really neat. This is really cool!!
Can’t wait to make the Lil Matryoshki! We have *several* at our house and my kids will be tickled to have a quilt to go with all of the little nesters they’ve grown up with — SO COOL!
“Shifting Gears” has my attention!! I know a man I’d love to make it for!
This is a great chance to win the very best publication in the quilter’s world. I’ll love to make some blocks and send to you the photos. Thank you.
Love the All Buckled Up project! Now, the block itself wouldn’t have piqued my interest, but what was done for the runner just made it WOW for me!
I’m so excited to see this! I love all the quilts I see, but I am especially excited about the applique ones! I can’t wait to make some posies!
“Posy Path”: I love scrappy quilts and have been looking for an easy applique project. This is just enough to challenge me, yet still “do-able”.
I love the Fiery Flower. My sister has a road side stand with flower bouquets that she makes. What a nice Christmas present this would make.If I should be one of the lucky winners I would have just enough time to make it for her by Christmas.
Shifting Gears is the one that caught my interest.
This looks like a great collection of patterns! I’m torn between whether I love the Mexican Sunflowers or Lil’ Matryoshki better! I guess it depends on what kind of sewing mood I’m in.
Love the three on the front of the magazine, especially the one in the centre. Just what I am looking for. However will have to wait a while for it to come to U K. Any chance of a digital issue.? Don’t always get all the issues over here, but love what we do get.
This is a great chance to win the very best publication in the quilter’s world. I’ll love to make some blocks and send to you the photos. Thank you. In special, Lil Matryoshki!
I love Martha Walker’s use of Garden, block #363. Thank you for the giveaway.
I love the block with the Matroyshka dolls. so sweet!
I love the Mexican sunflowers…..and the Matryoshki table runner….and the All Buckled Up wall hanging….and, and…. Gotta have this book!
I would love to win this. Looks like there are lots of wonderful patterns in there to inspire my creative juices.
I really like the posey quilt – something bright & colorful for the winter to make – like most if I don’t win I’ll buy a issue for myself!! Thanks!!
Mexican Sunflowers are gorgeous and like the buckle up done in Christmas fabrics. Oh, I hope I am one of the lucky ones.
I am loving the Cornflowers – and need to get a closer look! CUTE!!!
These are great blocks. I want to see more!
It would be so wonderful to win this, thanks for the chance
Love the Mexican Sunflowers! Would love a copy of this mag!
I would love to win a copy have purchased all the magazines looking foward to making a quilt from this new magazine.
Happy Quilting
I’m very excited about this new issue!
Just think of the possibilities with this book ~ it’s wonderful! I hope I am one of the lucky winners! I especially like the cornflowers, as they are predominant here in beautiful western New York!
I can see Mexican Sunflowers as a tablecloth, maybe a valance…beautiful!
I think Melissa Corry is amazingly talented and I’m so thrilled to see her work in Quiltmaker! Please enter my name to win a copy of the mag so I can snag her pattern and drool over the others!!!
Its a hard decision, but I have a granddaughter who is longing to live in Florida (now in KS) and loves anything to do with sealife, so the Turtle Lagoon it is, but there are several other ones I like too. I’ll buy this issue if not a winner, but by far the whole magazine is a winner.
Cornflowers by Nancy Mahoney is calling me. But I really like several of the other blocks too.
I love the buckle up pattern. Of course, I am a gardener and love flower patterns! However, in this issue, it is difficult to decide.
I started working in the Automotive Industry in 1980 so the Shifting Gears quilt really caught my eye. But I’m also really intrigued by the buckle border (must be from all of the years of buckling my boys and now the grandkids into car seats, seat belts, strollers, high chairs), seems like if there are kids around, there are things to buckle!
It is hard, if I am one of the lucky winners, I am not sure where I would begin. I would most likely make a scrappy quilt and try a few blocks out right away. I am partial to the “All Buckled up” wall hanging that was made, but they are all beautiful. I just hope I am one of the lucky ones. Thank you for the chance.
Shifting Gears has to be the cutest quilt for a boy or a girl. Heck, I even like it myself. You’ve gone and done it again. More creative designs from Quiltmaker’s talented designers. You have all of us really hooked and now we all have a chance to win this magazazine. I just gotta have this one. Thank you for all that you do for us.
Sandi T.
sandit1@sbcglobal.net
I really like the Turtle Lagoon. Would love to win the magazine. If not, I’m certainly going to buy it
I love so many of them – I think my favourite of the ones shown is the sunflowers. I picked up a copy of the 100 blocks magazine when I was home this summer, and can’t wait to see what I can come up with .
This looks like a great magazine.
From what I’ve seen so far, that Gear Works block definitely interests me. I’m already thinking about what fabrics I would use and what sort of quilt I would create.
Just love the Purple Passion! Would love to win one of the issues! Many thanks for the chance to, and for your great magazine!
I really like the Shifting Gears quilt. I can see several of my nephews liking this quilt. It would be perfect for them for Christmas.
Lil’ Matryoshki is the one that really grabbed me. I am fascinated with this type of doll and love paper piecing so I would love to make a quilt top with this pattern!
I like the cover very much.It would draw you to pick up this magazine. I like Fiery Flower block.
Would love to see one of the 100 block books.
wow another great magazine. I like so many of the blocks and they can look so different when put in a quilt.
Would LOVE this book, as it would be the perfect incentive to attack this pile of scraps!
They are all so wonderful! I would love to win!
Shifting gears is my favorite but I’m anxious to see all the other quilts in the magazine.
I love the Garden block and the color combination used in the Posy Path quilt. Just so cheerful and appealing.
I really like the Garden by Martha Walker.
So far I like the look of the 481 on the front cover. Thanks for the chance to win.
The blue cornflowers are a perfect perk-me-up for my mom, who is recovering from foot surgery, and the garden block quilt looks like the replacement I need for my thirty year old picnic quilt. Looks like a wonderful magazine. Thanks!
Would love to have this issue. As I looked at the preview I saw so many that took my eye instead of the usual one or two.
Our days are already getting cooler and shorter here in Alaska. I would do Martha’s Posy Path first to try and capture some of my garden’s spirit for the coming winter!
Another great blocks. All are spectacular and Corn flowers caught my eyes. Thanks!!
I like “Turtle Lagoon” and Surfs up” I have alway wanted to make a Turtle Quilt to remember my time in Grand Cayman. I would by great in blue and green batiks.
I love the Posy Path! Thanks for the chance to win!
I really like the geared up block and quilt. That will be the first one I need to make.
What a wonderful idea. So many wonderful blocks and so many ideas. This would be a wonderful addtion to my other block books.
I absolutely love the QM 100 Blocks magazines, and love seeing the projects made from them. So hard to choose one favorite!
I love “Shifting Gears”. On my “to Do” list!
My style is traditional, so really liked Posey Path, but they all look interesting. If I don’t win, I’ll want the magazine anyway. Thanks for the giveaway.
Loved All Buckled up and I can’t wait to see River Dance made up. Love your magazine!
Vicki
I am interested in one of the designs shown on the cover of the magazine, the one to left. I create the quilt tops quilted by our church’s quilting group and we use them in our church’s quilt bingos. The ladies like the red and gray combination rather than the complete darkness of red and black. A free magazine would be greatly appreciated and probably used for multiple quilt top designs.
Would absolutely love to win this drawing!!
I would love to make the Mexican Sunflowers. Looking forward to seeing all of the quilts.
I really enjoy this magazine; they also include so many great patterns. The Posy Path pattern is screaming my name and will definitely go on my to do list. I love the color combinations!
Really like cornflowers, all are excellent ways to use blocks.
Posy Path is a gota do. Can see those posys on a big bag even!!
I love so many of them but my favorite is Moose Tracks! I like a challenge! I love the magazines just for the inspiration!
Choose just one? I can’t! Love the appliqued bunny block, and the matroyska dolls, and Strawberry Fields Forever applique. Fiery Flower is gorgeous! I think my overall favorite, if that’s even possible, is the Purple Passion block. My best friend, who wants to learn quilting, is a crafter from the word ‘go’. I think I could convince her that quilting could be her passion, too, with that block. Thanks for the opportunity!
Blocked In appeals to me because I’m drawn to geometric patterns (former math teacher). It makes me wonder how the block repeats itself.
All Wrapped Up is interesting because it looks like a border stripe down the middle. I do need to make a Christmas quilt!
Oh my goodness!! How fun!! The “Cornflower” and “Buckle Up” are just too cute! I want to see what else is inside! Thanks for a chance to win this terrific magazine! Good luck, Everyone!!
I always enjoy looking at the blocks and picking out my favorite for …SOME DAY…sigh!
I think I would like to try the shifting gears quilt. It looks interesting and fun.
love your mags and special issues! looking forward to another bundle of inspirations!
thank you QM~!
Lil’ Matryoshki, Mexican Sunflowers and Changing Gears are really calling to me!
I want! I want! I want!
Great Preview for this issue of Quilt Blocks. My favorite is the Garden Block 365 Vol 4! I loved the use of color as well as the interpretation. I can see it on my antique walnut dining room table awakening spring throughout the room. Thank you for the review and opportunity. Mary Arline
Oh, please pick me! I would love to add this book to my collection!!!
THANKS!!!!
i really like the posey path cause i love the poseys. also the gear works also
Of the 5 you showed, I would be tempted by ALL of them. I would love to win a copy but am tempted to just go buy a copy today.
Wow, you have done it again. This collection looks inspiring. I can’t pick just one so making a sampler would be such fun.
I think that I like the All Buckled Up pattern. I can see it on a wall above a mantle or bed or dining room. But then again I think I like the Moose Tracks Pattern ( I took a quick peek of the index page.) I would probably just love all of the patterns. I would really like to win this quilt book. Thanks.
I would so love to win. Fixing this magazine in my area is almost impossible. The only 2 places that get them in is Joann Fabrics and one grocery store. They only get maybe 5 copies each so if you aren’t lucky enough to get it the day they get it in you either drive 30 miles one way or order it on the internet.
I love the Strawberry Fields block! It’s so pretty and the color choice is perfect!
Wow! So many pretty projects!! I think that my favorite is “Posy Path”! I love scrappy!!
Thank you for the chance to win!
I love all these books!!! I think my favorite quilt here is Mexican Sunflowers. I especially like the border!!
A tantilizing few sneak peeks –can’t wait to see the rest of the blocks and ideas. Thank so much for this giveaway!
Posy Path. The colours are awesome!
OMG…so hard to choose! I might have to look into making more than one of them. Posy patch intrigues me because I think it would look great in a scrappy fashion….will have to get this magazine for sure! Thanks so much for giving us this these magazines to spark our creativity!
I love the red, black and white quilts on the cover. One of my nieces is into black and red, so they would be perfect for her.
Wow! I find the diverse patterns intriguing. But I would like to make Posy Path first. I have just the fabric in mind.
The spinning gear quilt would be great for my husband… we bought our last house based on the usability of the garage & basement
These are amazing quilts! Can’t wait to see the whole issue.
I love the Gear Works block and the resulting Shifting Gears quilt. It’s a perfect “man quilt”, which sometimes is hard to find. Pinks, greens or purples could turn it into a great quilt for a little girl also.
The Mexican Sunflowers really caught my eye! It looks like there is a bit of fabric folding in the flower petals, which adds some nice dimension to the quilt.
I love the cornflower pattern. I think it would be gorgeous as a table runner and placemat set.
13 lil’matrioshka, i love paper piecing. Congratulation for this new mags.
I am captivated by 13 Lil’ Matryoshki. It is darling. Would love to see all the rest of the blocks too. So much food for thought.
Love the garden block. Applique should be fun to do. Thanks for the opportunity to win. Carolyn
I really like the preview picture in the table of contents for Turtle Lagoon and Moose Tracks. Thanks for considering me.
Blocked in interests me the most. I am drawn to the red in it and it lots like it offers a challenge But several of the others also peak my interest – like the little bunny rabbit and the appliqué quilts
LOVE the All Buckled Up Quilt…this issue looks to be a definite must have.
I really like Shifting Gears – most unusual and quite striking.
thanks!
All Buckled Up!! has my interest and body flowing to make. Hopefully I can win so I can have the pattern. Wishing everyone posting luck in the winner circle.
Love the Posy Path, it would be fun to make!
I love the “All Buckled Up”.It would make a pretty seasonal table runner.I see pastels for spring, oranges & reds for fall, blues and whites for winter and greens for summer! Oh now you’ve got me thinking again!!
I love the Shifting Gears and the Cornflowers. I may have to try applique for that one.
I would lOVE to win this book. It would make a fantastic addition to my beginning collection of quilting books.
Thank you!
There at least 3 that I would LOVE to make. First the Fiery Flower. I love the geometric drama of it. I think it would be so fun to see it evolve as an entire quilt or even a table runner!
Second, Abloomin Garden. I LOVE applique and I LOVE anything Irish chain. This would be stunning.
Third, Lil’ Matryoshki. One of my daughters has been to Russia 3 times. My goal is to make a quilt to commemorate her trips abroad. This would be perfect for Russia!
Thank you for giving us a chance to receive the “fruits of your labor”
Barbara
I especially like Posy Path quilt. The bright primary colors seem warm and inviting. It would look wonderful in my daughter’s new town home. It would like wonderful draped on her couch which is the same shade of blue. The other colors would surely give my daughter inspiration for other decorating ideas.
I love all of them and would make them all.
Thanks for the chance to win..or else I have to go on road trip to find the magazine.
This would be tough but purple passion moves to the front by a slim margin. Thanks
Wow! Another great resource from QM ! Thanks.
Mexican Sunflowers is my favorite of those featured today. I’m with the others…if I don’t win my copy I will have to purchase it! Thanks
I’d love the win a copy!! “Shifting Gears” looks like a fun one to try.
I hope I can find a copy somewhere if I don’t win!
Oooh, I need this soooooo bad ! And it’s my Birthday !!! I hope I win !!!
I love turtles. That’s the block and quilt I’d make.
ABSOLUTELY “Shifting Gears”!! I LOVE that quilt!!
Mexican Sunflowers is just amazing. I would totally do applique if I could do this one!
Otherwise, the others that stood out for me are All Aglow, Fiery FLower, and My Country! Ah, so many things to try, so little time! That’s what I love about QM….there really are lots of blocks and quilts that I would make, in every issue.
Thanks for a giveaway!
Well, I love the Moose Tracks by Denise Starck, that you posted on your facebook page. Thanks for the chance to win!
uhhhh ohhhh well I am in Love with Shifting Gears….Wouldn’t that work great for another (?) quilt for our Peterbilt!!!! I am totally gonna make this one, for certain.
O O do I have to choose? I don’t think I can. They are all so beautiful. Will you choose for me? I am sure I will love it.
I love turtle lagoon! There are several though that might also tempt me.
I love the Lil’ Matryoshki. thanks for the chance.
I think that there are several projects that I want to do in this magazine! Please let me win a copy or else I need to buy it!
Most of the quilts that I make are from the Quiltmaker magazine. I NEVER get rid of an issue & have several laid out with ‘specials’ marked in them. Quiltmaker is definitly my favorite quilt magazine. Keep them coming!
I absolutely love the 13 Lil’ Matryoshki block and how it was used. Would love to have this in my collection. Thanks for the contest.
I like the posey paths. I can use my accuquilt circle dies and practice hand applique. I love the scrappy borders.
Hard to decide between Lil’ Matryoshka and the Mexican Cornflowers. Both are delightful. I really enjoy the 100 Blocks issues, but my favorite part is finding the block that I never could have imagined; it just tickles my imagination.
The “cornflowers” pattern is the one that interests me the most. It looks like it might be folded fabric rather than pieced or applicated flowers, which would be a new technique for me.
Ii love the poesy path but there all beautiful
They’re all so great ! The 2 that stand out for me are: 13 Lil’ Matryoshki and Diamond Daze. The 100 blocks editions always finds a way into my quilting resource library. Thank you for publishing it.
Love the Moose Tracks pic from facebook!!! looks like a must have!!!
I LOVE L’il Matryoshki! My home province of Saskatchewan has a very vivid and proud Ukranian culture, and this quilt is a perfect example of that! I can’t wait to make it with some vivid reds, yellows and whites!
I would definitely use Moose Tracks, it seems as tho there are not enough patterns that make nice quilts for men. My husband would like one. Also our quilt guild makes quilts for the VA Nursing home and hospital for Christmas gifts, that would make a nice quilt for VA.
Looks like a great issue, can’t wait to try Buckled Up by Amy Weber would make a nice table runner for my entrance way cabinet
I love them all! I just can’t choose…
Love the Posy Path quilt – and the others, too! Looks like a great magazine!
Posy Path really grabbed my attention because it has piecing and applique, and the folded flowers on the Cornflower also struck my fancy as I thoroughly enjoy fabric origami!
It’s impossible to choose just one. Fiery Flowers, Blocked In and My Country caught my eye. I love these special issues! I always buy 2 so I can send one to my friend in Australia. I would love to win.
Looks like a super issue. Buckled Up is my favorite
Ooooh, they’re all great! but I think I’m drawn to Buckle Up. I’m a beginner at applique and so I just admire it so much! Thank you so much for the chance to win!!
My mother gave me a Quilts 100 Blocks book that was several years old. I love looking through it to get ideas. I would love a new book.
Surprisingly, I’m loving the shifting gears block and quilt! Thank you for a chance to win.
Loved the mexican sunflower. I am new to quilting and though I am a very traditional person and love the old traditional quilt blocks, I also like more of the modern patterns and blocks that have been updated and arranged in a different way. I think this would be an awesome magazine to win. I hope you will pick me.
Pick me, Pick me, Pick me pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaase!!!!!!
I like the quilts on the cover a lot! The posypath quilt and the shifting gears also have lots of appeal. They look great and achievable as well—Please inclulde my name in the contest—Many thanks——-sue
“Buckle Up” peeks my interest – love how the table runner looks and the applique just flows across it……
The Lil Matryoshki table runner is adorable – and just the right amount of paper piecing!
Lil’ Matryoshka caught my attention because I have a dear friend who collects them and this would be a perfect little gift!
I really like the moose tracks one…would love to make that for my dad and my husband, both would love it.
greetings from Italy by Pina! at first, sorry for my language!!!! I am a quilter about 5 years, i love patchwork very much!!!!! i like Martha Welker’s garden block and posy path wall quilt is very beatiful and easy, ok for me! i will make it!
Looking through the table of contents, I fell in love with Fiery Flowers. I would love to see that made into a quilt.
Moose Tracks looks like a must do for me. Can’t wait to try it!
Hard to decide which is my favorite. I think maybe Mexican sunflowers
I love the Cornflowers, I have briefly tried some of the dimensional quilting by doing test blocks for my own knowledge. Love the idea of doing a whole quilt of them and that pattern is so cute!
Like many others I like them all. I have all the editions the blocks come from and they give me pleasure over and over again just looking at the various blocks. All of the contributors show such imagination. Great to see blocks as quilts.
All buckled up just jumped into my heart! Love it!
Cornflowers by Nancy Mahoney. I like adding special touches to my quilting, including ribbon work, buttons, etc. Anything that gives it added interest.
I love the Mexican Sunflowers, the 3D flowers are just magic and would add something special to any quilt. Quiltmaker have so many great projects. The Classic Update’s are my current favorites. I also love your tips for quick and simple techniques. I could go on and on.
PS: Happy 30th Birthday and many more to come.
I love the Moose Tracks pattern. Thanks for the chance to win!
Please send me a magazine. I will treasure it forever.
I really liked the Lil’ Matryoshka. I think it would be really cute across a baby blanket with a coordinating wall hanging. Thank you for the opportunity to win the magazine.
Cornflowers by Nancy Mahoney – I love the detail and femininity. So beautiful.
I enjoyed seeing the patterns in this latest issue, and it has picoted my interest!!!!!
I have someone I have not made a quilt for and she LOVES Russian Nesting Dolls, so Lil’ Matryoshka #415 would be PERFECT for her! Love it!!
I would love a copy of the magazine, I think the All Wrapped Up would be great as borders on the quilt I make using the holiday blocks from the block exchange at the block party. Pick me please!
Sonja Callaghan’s Lil’ Matryoshka they are too sweet!
I love the Garden Path! Lovely!
I think I’d try the Shifting Gears Block. Lots of men/boys in my family and it would be perfect for them. I might even try one of the applique blocks and challenge myself a little.
I have been away from quilting for a while but the Mexican sunflower pattern is so perfect for my granddaughter that I have gone and bought the material to get started. I need now just the pattern. It will be special for a seven year old who can help fold the flowers, what a bonding time we will have with this lovely pattern. Thank you for the incentive.
I would love to win this! The first one I’d make is the cone flower.
I would love to win this book. The blocks in the Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks books are so intriguing but I would love to learn more about how to really increase the “wow” factor in the quilts I make from these quiltmakers who can take a block and really punch it up!
I like that little Matrioshka quilt. Saw it on Sonja’s blog the other day–it really appeals to me!
I took Nancy Mahoney’s class at Block Party for her block featured here. It is gorgeous and she was so very nice.
I love the cornflowers. I have been wanting to try something that involved folding. Will certainly buy a copy if I don’t win one!
I love how you have the basic block then show how to use it in such a creative way. My um skills consist of following a pattern and going outside the lines since kindergarten was not allowed. Now I can have the freedom of being able to get even more creative!
My favorite guy quilt is the one posted on Facebook. Would love to make it for an uncle who’s celebrating his 80th birthday this year!
Wow I see SO many I’d like to make … from the cover quilts to Mexican Sunflowers – definitely going on my to-do list ! Thanks for the chance to win !
I love “All Buckled Up”….not sure I could stop with just one basket, though….might have to expand this to a bed-size quilt!
love the patterns
Quiltmaker magazine has been a favorite of mine for years! What a great contest idea! The cornflowers look so appealing and I can use them many different ways. Sure hope I win the magazine before ‘having’ to give in and buy it this timek!
Choices, choices, choices…oh, what fun! If I could start a new project today it would be similar to 13 Lil’ Matryoshki by Sonja Callaghan. Those little Russian dolls are adorable and you cannot beat blue and yellow.
I’m a fan of Nancy Mahoney….Her style of quilts always seem to come up as my favourites.
I love blocks 319 and 347!!
My favourite is Buckle Up. Thanks for the chance to win. Linda
Always an issue I look forward to. Great ideas on the use of these blocks. Looking forward to this coming to the quilt store.
What fun! Loved seeing all of the blocks and visiting the different blogs. Keep up the great work.
I love the garden block. I would love to win.
I love looking at quilt patterns and dreaming of all the quilts I would love, love, love to make. Ideas and colors are floating in my mind.
I saw the pattern “Gear Works”, then saw the quilt “Shifting Gears” and immediately thought of my 19 yr old grandson.. This would be perfect for him.. I would love to have this magazine!!!
I think Posy Path looks like a fun quilt to make!
Hi Diane:
What a marvelous post showing the gems one will find in the newest Quiltmaker’s Quilts from 100 Blocks!
Although all blocks shown here are fantastic, I was thinking how neat it would be to show Sonja Callaghan’s “Lil’ Matryoshka” block (#415 from Volume 5) as a center medallion-like square, then add blocks as an outside border.
I would love to win this issue! If I do, I will gladly give it away through my blog for someone to enjoy. I think 100 Blocks is one of the best issues available to quilters!
Susan Guzman
Love the Posy Patch. I like the applique with the piecing. Thank you for the chance to win.
i like the cornflowers. i would try to turn them into daisies though instead of mexican sunflowers. i like the changing gears quilt too. my son needs a new quilt for his new house!!! this is perfect for a gear head!!
It is a real creative boost to see what other people have done with the blocks. I tend to like the traditional pieced blocks, so it is eye-opening to me to see how applique can enhance the pieced blocks. Amanda Murphy’s Buttoned Up for Spring is the one that really caught my attention!
Answer this question: From what you’ve seen, what project in this issue has piqued your interest?
I love the matroyshka dolls! I have two nieces that will love them!
I love “All Buckled Up”; it could be made using Christmas fabrics and would look wonderful. She made a lovely quilted wall hanging. I think this magazine is a must have for every quilter.
I love them all!! I am new at piece quilting but am learning fast and enjoying every minute of it!!
Love the cute little bunnies, Peek-a-Boo Bunnies.
Lil’ Matryoshki looks like one I would love to do. Been meaning to try foundation piecing – and can’t think of a cuter pattern to make. ;D
They are all great! I really like the “All Buckled Up” and the “Shifting Gears”!! Thanks for the chance to win!!
I like Martha Walker’s use of Garden, block #363.
I love Melissa’s Shifting Gears!!
Very hard to decide my favorite, but I think it would have to be between Posy Path and Shifting Gears. Thank you for the opportunity to win.
I love the Peek -a -Boo bunny pattern.
I can’t wait to see how others put together the blocks in a complete project. I’ve made single blocks from the magazine before, but I’ve never assembled them into a single project. I am inspired by Sonja’s interpretation of the Lil’ Matryoshka!
Count me in, never did find the magazine in my area. Thanks for the chance to win a copy.
Carol L
I love the block “Garden”. I would really like to try it. It looks interesting, very pretty, but something an intermediate or confident beginner could manage. I hope I win!! Thanks for your contest offer.
Cheryl
I love Peek-a-Boo Bunny and All Buckled Up.
I have more tablerunners than I’ll ever need but oh my, those are so cute!
I LOVE Posey Path and the Mexican Sunflowers Quilts. Hard to say which I would make first. Probably make both at the same time so I wouldn’t have to choose.
Love the Shifting Gears project!
I love all the inspiration Quiltmaker provides!
Inspiring quilt patterns! The Mexican Sunflowers quilt is BEAUTIFUL and would be a fun project for a gift.
Thanks for entering me in your drawing
Lil’ Matryoshki — Love it!
I am in love with A Bloomin’ Garden. It has my favorite color palette and just the perfect mix of applique and piecing. Please let me win one!
I really like all of them but the one in the middle on magazine cover is one I can’t waite to try…. thank you
It’s either the posy path, which really appeals to me, or the one on the right, looking at the cover of the magazine. Thanks for the chance to win a copy!
I love Shifting Gears! I think that would make a fabulous guy quilt! Thanks for a chance to win!
I love all the ideas. I want to try applique this guild year. So many ideas in this magazine.
All of them are wonderful, but the one in the middle on the cover of your magazine is the one I can’t waite to try…..
I would LOVE to get my hands on this issue. So many cute things to make and I have ideas already going in my head. Help me get my stash down and send me a magazine. Thanks soooo much for all you do!
Cornflowers, by Nancy Mahoney is sooo cute! I am a flower person from way back, and I won’t tell you how far back, and I would love to get my hands on the instructions in the new edition. I am interested in how she folded the fabric to make those cute little flowers. I can see Morning Glories really close by! Love, Love, Love It!
I would love this book. My personal one I would do is Melissa Corry used Gear Works, block #456 from Volume 5… for my son Josiah. He is 7 going on 8 in May. There is more pattern I would do if I had this magazine.
Paula
The cover alone has enough eye candy to make me want to purchase this magazine! All Buckled up…is a must do on my list of must do’s! :0)
I like the Posy Path for myself, but I need to make the 13 Lil’ Matryoski for my granddaughters room, I’m sure there are many more, I will have to get this edition.
I love this issue and hope to get it. I love the cornflower.
So many choices – my favorites are Ho, Ho Snow and Posy Path. Lots of great projects in this issue!
Posey Path is spectacular!

I like the combo of strip piecing and applique in Autumn Blossoms.
So many to pick from it’s hard to choose.
I’m really intrigued by Sonja Callaghan’s Lil’ Matryoshka, block #415! I’d like to try that one someday!

I think I’m partial to Posey Path; so cheerful! Thanks a lot for the giveaway. I agree magazines are great value.
Love Shifting Gears and Posy Path. Sew many quilts, so little time.
Shifting Gears would be perfect for my new son-in-law. He keeps hinting for “his” own quilt.
I absolutely adore the Lil’ Matryoshka pattern. Since I was a young girl, I have always loved nesting dolls. I have plans–big plans–for this pattern. Pillows, tote bags, quilts, wall-hangings–not to mention the stuff I’d make my mom and grandma! It will be nesting dollapallooza!
My favorite is Jasmine Star from Jan-Feb, 2011
I have every issue of 100 Blocks and haven’t made anything from them yet–this issue may be the kick in the backside that I need to get going!
I want to try all of them!
I love the Corn Flowers! It looks easy and I love doing applique. I love this book and next time I get to town I will try to find one unless I can win it here.
Very eye catching. Can’t wait to see them all. Love Nancy Mahoney’s “Corn flowers” block #347.
Love these examples – Mexican Sunflowers is my favorite of these examples. I will have to find this magazine if I don’t win a copy. Fngers are crossed!
Martha Walker’s “Posy Path” is the first I would do. Love the colors she selected.
All of these quilts are stunning! I especially like the soft colors of the “Buckle” quilt. What a cute idea!
I love Ann Weber’s table runner. Could change the colors according to the season. Thank you for the opportunity.
My choice is the Mexican Sunflower. I love applique and piecing together in one quilt.
I think I would try Posy Path. It would allow me to try paper piecing along with regular piecing. I like trying new techniques. Thank you for the chance to win this awesome magazine.
very creative
The little Russian dolls are my favorite: L’ maryuska.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Can’t wait for the mag shirley
The cover of the book shows three rolled quilts. The one on the left intrigues me. I would love to work something like that in black, white and yellow!
Another great and inspirational publication from your great team, can’t wait to get it! Hard to choose, but 13 Lil’ Matryoshki! looks like the one! I’m in the mood for a new project as I just took my latest quilt off the frame, where it had been for hand quilting for the past year!
I love My Country! It was be perfect as a “thank you” to any service member or as a raffle quilt for my local VFW. Thanks for the opportunity to win this great magazine!!!
I am leaning towards All Buckled Up, but I really like the Posey Path too. If only we could live long enough to do all of the quilts we like.
Love them all but the ones that stick out more to me was shifting gears and lil matryoshka
I love All Aglow. It would be gorgeous in colors that we see in hot air balloons during the Balloon Glo!
I think the gears quilt is a wonderful modern-looking quilt that would work for men or women.
I LOVE the bunny rabbit quilt!!
Posy Path is an incredibly beautiful quilt and the block in the Centre (the start of it all!) really appeals to me.
I’d love to win this magazine. I have fabric to make my nephew a quilt who is into motocross and I think “Shifting Gears” would be a perfect pattern. Thanks for the opportunity!
Love the all buckled up quilt. Anxious to see the table runners.
Gosh, thank you so much for the giveaway. I really like the Posie Path. I am going to have to get the magazine if I do not win it just for that wonderful quilt pattern.
I love the sunfower quilt!
I’m very excited about this issue. I have all of the others and I’m never at a loss for block designs. What a wealth of ideas!
I checked out the Table of Contents—and there is a lot to choose from. But the first one in the list—-Fiery Flower looks like the one that I would like to make.

Sue
My favorite is Shifting gears. Gotta think about making that soon!
I like the Posy Path but would probably go see lighter colors. Beautiful though.

I love the Cornflower pattern, it would make great gifts.
The facebook view of Moose Tracks by Denise Starck made me look twice. I think that would be a great guy quilt.
I would not choose any one project, would probably use several. I like pieced blocks and make a lot of Quilts of Valour-Canada and am always lookiung for more ideas.
I love this magazine and especially love the “Lil Matyoshka” as we come from a Russian heritage. My neice has fallen in love with the Russian dolls. I think I may make something like this for her. The great thing about QM is that whether you are a beginning quilter or an intermediate quilter, there is always something there for you. Great instructions and photos. Thank you.
I like 13 Lil’ Matryoshki.
Posy Path is the one for me. Bright, bold colors for my grand daughters. Wait, I could do it in pastels for the baby. Okay I see that I’m going to have to make more than one. I just might use up most of my scraps.
I think the Gear Works pattern looks very interesting.
Love the cornflowers
I really like Shifting Gears. Looks like a fun quilt for the guys. So many quilts seem to be for the ladies that it is sometimes difficult to find something for the men in our lives. Looks like it would be fairly easy and go together quickly. I’m putting it on my to do list right now!
I so enjoy the 100 block collections! This will be another great addition.
I think Shifting Gears would be a great block to use for quilts for my grandsons – would love to win the magazine.
I was fascinated by the Gear Works, block #456. It looked REALLY good in the finished quilt too. Would love to try this one.
OMG those peek -a-boo bunnies are perfect for my new grandbaby to be’s quilt!!

I love all of the blocks. Please enter me in the drawing for a free copy.
The Matroyshka project is something I’d like to try. First it’s very different from the work I usually do, and secondly, I do love those dolls. So I’d be stretching my wings with something that inspires me.
Cornflowers Mexican Sunflowers. The single block alone is gorgeous, the quilt is fabulous, the border really neat, but I think I would stick to the original blue. It is so sweet and different.

Since I’m still recovering from surgery hard copy pictures of the devine block adaptations would be superb. What better time to dream than when limited to the recliner!
Lil’ Matryoshki, has really made me want to go buy this. I went to Russia last year and loved the stacking dolls. I didn’t buy any at the time and have regretted it ever since. Now I can make a quilt of the dolls instead. Please let me win. Thanks for the chance to try to win.

I really like “cornflowers” by Nancy Mahoney. Thanks for the chance to win.
“My Country” by Donna Benham. It’s interesting how the blocks interlock, but doesn’t look too complicated.
I love the peak-a-boo bunnies.
My favourite pattern is “Turtle Lagoon” because the colours are so soothing. Love to make this one !
I love the Mexican Sunflowers and the Peek a Boo Bunnies.
I love the Lil’ Matryoshka block and quilt. What a different way to show off quilting.

I would LOVE to win your magazine. The quilts shown are great! Thanks for having a give-a-way.
I love Ann Weber’s version of All Buckled Up
The “100 Blocks” series is incredibly helfpul when designing your own quilts. Whenever I’m stuck for an idea I can grab one of these off of the shelf and flip through the pages until I find a block or an idea that works. It’s great to see what others have done.
Love the Matroyshka dolls. I have a collection of them and would love to make a quilt with the pattern. Nancy Mahoney’s also a favorite designer of mine and I love her cornflower block. I have all of the “100 Block” issues and I’m excited to see the new “Quilts from 100 Blocks.” I agree–100 Bocks Rock!
I finished an Aunt Sylvia’s Bridal Quilt last fall and now have it on my bed. I had such fun making the blocks, and was so inspired to “do more”. I made it 12×12 blocks so had to add 4 more blocks to the 140 in original. I have one block in x2 but in different colorways. I have mentioned this to multiple people and they try to find it, but so far, no one has found it. I love learning new techniques and this is what inspires me about this issue. I have been a Quiltmaker subscriber for years and have made several of the quilts, the first one being one I did for Quilts for Kids.
Looks like an interesting book – hope to win it
Hard to choose just one, but would go with Garden Block. Refreshing and colorful.
Thank you for this opportunity to win something so special and useable.
LOVE All Buckled Up! Springy patterns are always my favorites, anytime of year!
I love cornflowers and buckle up both. Actually, I like them all but would probably start with those two.
Would love to make 13 Lil’ Matryoshki.
I love the bunnies and the corn flowers, just to name 2!
I was struck by Cornflowers, by Nancy Mahoney. Loved the colors and the simplicity. I have a favorite aunt who would love to get this for Christmas!
Thank you for the chance to win!!! I LOVE the peek a boo bunnies! That is a must make and this is a must have issue!!!
I love Quiltmaker. It is my favorite magazine and I also love Nancy Mahoney and her pattern.
“Cornflowers”. I love hexies and this looks like a different technique is used to make them.
Donna
Because I have Russian friends who have actually given me a Matryoshki doll, I would love to make this quilt /wall hanging for them! So many great choices – hmmmm – wonder how long it would take me to make all 100 blocks!?
I like “Shifting Gears”. A great guy type pattern for a throw.
This magazine looks amazing! I really like Melissa Corry’s Gears quilt, it has a nice effect. I’m very interested in seeing more of the designs!
I love Sonja Callaghan’s block #415 from Volume 5 of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, called Lil’ Matryoshka! thank you for the chance to win a copy!
Lil’ Matryoshki is very special because my daughter is adopted from Russia. The Mexican Sunflowers is darling!
I would love to try “switching gears”. I think my teenage son would love a quilt like that looked like that!
Thanks for the chance to win!
Hello, All Buckled Up by Ann Weber has my vote. Thank-you.
This would be a treat to win! Thank you for the opportunity! Love Julie’s red, white & black–my favorite color combo!
I love the Lil’ Matryoshka Project. This really caught my eye because I love dolls with an international flair. It looks very easy, and there are soo many projects that come to mind. Thanks, for the chance to win.
Wow! This book really looks exciting. I love blocks. So much so that I volunteered to be the Block of the Month Chair for our Quilt Guild so each month I look for interesting blocks and show some samples of how to arrange the blocks. I think this book would really help me.
I just love the 13 Lil’ Matryoshki dolls!
Lil’ Matryoshka caught my eye. My daughter just returned from a semester in Moscow. She is a Russian major and I think she would love this wall hanging!
I love 13 Lil’ Matryoshki, a great Christmas present for my granddaughter.
I love Posy Path….so warm and inviting!!
I really do like all of the patterns you showed but I would say that All Bucked Up would be the first to make on my list. Thank you for the chance to win!
I love the “all buckled up” runner – it would make a lovely quilt with a little more modification!
I like the corn flowers and the other 2 small quilts. I’d like to try thrm for a swap I’m in for mini. quilts!
I love Nancy Mahoney’s Mexican Sunflowers. It’s amazing the creative ways the blocks were used.
The peek a boo bunny would make an adorable baby quilt
Actually, there are three that I would like to try. I love the Cornflower block, All Buckled up, and, being a fan of nesting dolls, Lil’ Matyoshka. Can’t wait to get a copy of this issue. Hope I win one!!!
I have six grandsons and I think Gear Shift would be welcomed by any of them.
One of my grandsons brought me a set of the Matryoshka dolls when he visited Russia with his high school Russian class. I would like to give him a set to return the favor.
I love all the blocks, what’s not to like in quilting
I love the Lil’ Matroyshka pattern! How sweet. Would love to win the magazine!
The Mexican Sunflowers quilt is lovely. I really like designs that combine piecing and applique.
I have all of the quiltmaker Blocks magizine . Answer to your question
I love the simplicty of BUckle Up. Keep up the good work.
Fiery Flower really appeals to me.
I would have to say Lil’ Matryoshki. My mom has colon cancer and we have been working on her family’s genealogy. We recently found out there is some Russian lines in our family that neither of us ever knew about. I’m so glad to see this pattern – it reminds me of the wonderful nesting dolls my mom bought my daughter last Christmas to celebrate that heritage! Love your magazines and patterns! Thanks for all you do!!
Turtle Lagoon is my favourite, but it was a hard decision. This one reminded me of our holidays in the Caribbean and how we need to protect these endangered creatures.
Can’t wait to see a full issue – digital is the way to go, save the trees that way.
Would love to win one of the magazines. Gives so much more insight what to do with the blocks.
Have copies of the previous editions and would love to win this one!
I really can’t pick just one block that I like! There are so many unique ones in each of the volumes. I am a begining quilter and definitely could use one of the magazines to show me how to put blocks together to make a stunning quilt.
I would love to make the Matryoshka dolls! I led a youth symphony tour to St. Petersburg, Russia last summer – 60 great teens playing Tchaikovsky! The dolls would make a great quilt to remind me of the trip.
Fresh ideas! I would love a copy!
After seeing these sample quilts I am going to put down my current project and start one of the Russian Doll quilts for my Russian mother-in-law! Looks like a trip to the quilt shop is in my future.
I love to paper piece, beside’s piecing.
I think Martha Walker’s use of Garden, block #363 in the Posy Path Quilt piques my interest the most. But they are all wonderful! I’d love to win a copy of your newest magazine. Thanks!
I absolutely fell in love with “Shifting Gears!” The others are pretty, too, of course. I love seeing what designers do with a single block.
I love Shifting Gears! There’s always room for another manly quilt. Thanks for the chance to win!
I’m challenged by the Gear Works #456 in Vol.5 to turn it into Shifting Gears. I’m asking myself how did they get those right angles? Having the magazine will answer that question, won’t it?
I love the mexican sunflowers and paper piecing is my favorite way to piece. I would love to win!!!
Find both the Shifting Gears and All Buckled Up blocks interesting
I haven’t tried applique yet but Garden looks like one I’d like to start with. Great ideas here!
love the applique in the ‘all buckled up’ runner! the runner is just right for my entry table!
Sonja Callaghan’s is perfect for my youngest daughter she has always wanted some of these Russian dolls… I can see making this for Christmas maybe even using Christmas colors…. thanks for the opportunity to win… my magazine budget for the month is gone…
I think I like the Buckle Up Runner best of all.
I too like the buckle as a Santa effect..but the dolls are also delightful. Hope to win, thanks for the chance!
I love Posy Path, because I enjoy a touch of applique on my quilts!
So hard to choose…..but my daughter has several sets of the little nesting dolls so I know she would love Lil’ Matryoshki!
I came over from Amanda Murphy’s blog, and I love the quilt that she designed, and the Posy Paths that you showed us here!! I’ll have to start looking for this issue: looks like a must have!!!
I loved the Garden Block. I’m commenting because I live in a rural area where trips to the “city” are about once a month. Hoping to win a copy because it will be a long wait until I get to the city to purchase one. The block is a little advanced for me, but with scraps and practice, I think I can master it. Love your magazine!
I love these magazines! I buy every one. I only wish we could see what all>/strong the blocks looked like in a quilt, especially the ones which make ‘secondary patterns’. Even so, these are great resources. If I win the book, I will donate it to my guild for a drawing. I will be soooooo popular! Thanks for a great giveaway.
Another exciting “Quilts From 100 Blocks” issue! I liked “Autumn Blossom” and “Button Up for Spring” but also loved the idea of also having table runner variations on these and some of the other designs. Have really enjoyed the “100 Blocks” series from the beginning!
I really like the “Buckle Up”. I can see it in Autumn colors making it resemble a Pilgrim’s hat with little stylized chrysanthemums or coreopsis.
Looking at the index I love the “My Country”.
Hope I win.
I love All Buckled Up, by Ann Weber. I may have to have that on my dining room wall!
I just love the Peek-a-boo bunnies, my Nephew is having a little boy in January and I am going to make a cot quilt for the baby. They want a cream, lemon and BROWN quilt. With this they can have brown bunnies and I can make a lovely quilt instead of the dreary one they want!
I love the shifting gears quilt!
I was here the other night and had one all picked out to write about, then got called away from my computer and can’t remember if I finished my post ……….. I have come back and they are all so cute – there just aren’t enough hours a day to make all the ones I see and love! I haven’t purchased this magazine (have all the individual ones though) yet – it might just jump into my shopping cart the next time I am at the store – if I end up winning, I can share it with a good friend …
Ooh! I’m going shopping today and will look for this book. I think I would like to try “Nancy Mahoney’s Cornflowers, block #347 from Volume 4″. I’m very new to quilting so some of the beutiful quilts you’ve shown are beyond my skills just yet, but they are all inspiring and will give me something to shoot for…
Thanks for the Giveaway opportunity.
Love your 100 blocks magazines! This looks like a winner too! Hope I win one.
I love “Shifting Gears” Thanks for the chance to win
I liked Martha Walker’s “Garden” and “Posy Path.” It seems that you can use up a lot of scraps.
I love the posy path quilt and I would love to win it!
Ideas, ideas, ideas…that is what I love about any of Quiltmaker’s magazines. This one seems loaded with so many…could I possibly make them all…or teach them during my workshops?! Hmmmm..I sure would love a chance to try! I have every issue of Quiltmaker from the last several years (won’t say how many…it might tell my age!)…obviously,,,this will have to join the collection on my library shelf!
Only one? That would be Posy Path! But, I love Shifting Gears, as I’m always on the lookout for ‘guy’ quilt patterns. Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy of the magazine.
I tested some of these QM Blocks and Love the “Quilts from 100 Blocks” issues. Definitely on my WANT list. Hope I win a copy , but I’ll go look on the newsstands.
Love Shifting Gears. Kind of reminds me of a maze.
they will make great projects for me so I hope to win
Love to get new ideas!!
What a brilliant idea – a book that gives ideas how to use the blocks!
I would love to win one!!
They are all great! Would love to win!
Buckle Up is stunning and inspirational!
I love Shifting Gears and would like to win the magazine.
The quilt that caught my eye is Melissa’s Shifting Gears. It looks like modern Seminole piecing in the full layout. Thanks for the chance to win a copy of this magazine issue.
I just love the blocks yall made. I would love to have the book and look forward to your email. thank you!
I would love to have the book. Thank you. The quilts yall made are just wonderful!
HArd to pick just one but I would say, Mexican Sunflowers. Thanks!!
I love the Mexican Sunflowers! Thanks for the chance to win.
I really love buckle up. I was really drawn to it because it reminds me of a quilt that my grandmother made and it was always on her bed at her farmhouse in Wisconsin. When she passed away my mom was given the quilt and it was always on her bed. Every time I went into her room it brought back memories of my grandma. The quilt now covers my oldest sisters bed but will always retain the memories of both grandmother and mom for me. I want to make this quilt block into a table runner and start a new batch of memories for my grandchildren. Thanks for that chance.
I would love to win your latest copy of “Quilts from 100 Blocks”. They look so wonderful.
Thanks for the chance to win a wonderful magazine.
Too many wonderful ones to pick from, love them all!
Shifting Gears looks awesome. But the one I’m really intrigued by is the grey/red quilt on the cover.
Corn flower…love quitling books and magazines!
I love the turtle quilt shown on FB.. I have a client who is asking for a turtle quilt and THIS will be perfect for her! Love the opportunity to win! Thanks
I am really liking the garden block.. so many posibilities with it.
I love the Matryoska dolls; I have some as a gift fr my son who studied Russian for 2 summers in St. Petersburg, and I would use the fabrics he brought me fr there as a souvenir!!
I loved the shifting gears pattern – I love geometrical designs.
I love the moose tracks pattern!
being a scrap lover, I like the posy path the best. but the buckled up table runner is intriguing also!
I love shifting gears. Love the design and color combo.
Just this article piqued my interest enough that I had to go look at the Table of Contents – Strawberry Fields Forever looks quite interesting. I think most quilters make many, many quilts in their minds every time they “read” a quilt magazine.
I came by this post by way of Facebook and what drew me in was the pattern Tutle Lagoon by Amy RullKoetter. I love sea turtles and think that would be a fabulous quilt to make with some turtle fabric from Hawaii!
LauraT
Just loved the great use of colors in almost all of the blocks and quilts….Yummo….lol
Cornflowers, love it!!!
Lovely patterns! I love Posey Path. Thank you for the opportunity.
I loved the Lil Matryoshi foundation piecing quilt and can’t wait to get a copy. I love foundation piecing and this one is so intriguing. Also like the Mexican Sunflowers, what a happy looking quilt. So many interesting patterns difficult to make some choices as to which one will be first on my sewing list.
I loved the Gear Works block and how that was transformed into the quilt. So cute!
Love the brief comments and connections to other resources. Great place to decide if I wish to visit other sites. Can hardly wait to see the 100 quilt blocks.
I love both Shifting Gears and Blocked In – great choices you show in a contemporary manner!
I would go for the buckled up table runner.
i love the blue cornflower. what wonderful ideas. thanks for the chance to win the
magazine.
My favorite is Shifting Gears, but I love them all. Thanks for the give away!
I am awash in loveliness! I think I like Mexican Sunflowers the best! Wonderful magazine.
Wow! What a lot of comments! I thought for sure I would be a contender, but with this many comments, wow, I am just not sure.
Well, first off, as a fairly new quilter, I really liked them all! I dont know which one to start with. i like the posie quilt the best, but the cornflower one is close in the running. I am excited to get a copy, as I am sure there is so much to learn.
Thanks for considering me for a copy. I cant wait to get mine!
I am new at this “quilting thing” and am absorbing all th enew ideas that I can get. I did not think that I had a creative cell in my body until I started quilting – it is now an addiction.
Love the Posy Patch! All the colors, the design and the applique
The new book looks great. I love the Russian dolls
I can’t believe the creativity that everyone has shown! I need all the inspiration I can get and this issue gives plenty. Thanks to everyone!
So many to choose from! I think the peek at Autumm Blossom has caught my interest the most!
Love the sea turtles! the colors and pattern is just stunning!
Love the sea turtles!
I love Lil’ Matryoshka. So cute! Can’t wait to see this pattern!
I loved the Corn flowers, Buckle Up round flowers and Martha Walkers Garden flowers
because these could fit in with my yo yo flowers waiting for a setting.
Wow what a great bunch of designs. What peaked my interest was “My Country” Thanks for the chance go win the magazine. Congrats to all that were able to contribute to the magazine.
I love the Mexican Sunflowers . Very pretty!
Like shifting gears–very manly and thats all I have in my house!
WOW ! Do I have to select only one? Okay then it would be Shifting Gears. It would be great to make one of one of my sons. Thanks for the chance to win and for the great ideas.
13 Lil’ Matryoshki, for sure! My youngest niece would love to have this as a headboard, or even better, If I were to make a whole quilt of it!
Martha Walker’s Garden, block 363 of Vol. 4, is my favorite. Love the cozy, country look. Thank you.
“Buckle Up” by Ann Weber – Block #319 caught my attention! So many color possibilities w/this – change for each season. Thanks so much for the chance to enter you contest!
I love Linda Howell’s block “Isabelle!” Can’t wait to make a wall hanging!
Love the little matryoshki! It was nice to see them in another color variation. Might have to make myself a table runner soon. Thanks!
It’s a tough choice between Cornflowers and the Garden block. Gotta love a combo of applique, piecing, and dimensional flowers!
The new buzzword for quilts is “modern”. Shifting Gears fits my interpretation of a what I visualize as a “modern quilt”. I would love to make it.
So far: A Bloomin Garden, Fiery Flower, HoHo Santa and Strawberry Fields Forever.
The Lil’ Matryoshka, block #415 is one I want to make as we just visited a small town in Alaska with Russian roots and came home with the book “The Littlest Matroyshka” by Corinne Demas Bliss. The wall hanging would be wonderful to share with my dolls and book with my grandchildren.
Martha Walker’s garden is my favorite among the ones you’ve shared!
I loved the My Country and the Fiery Flower blocks. Win or buy, the magazine has a home at my house.
I love this beautiful mix of blocks! It’s ample proof that the same pattern can look completely different when done in varying mixes of shading and color. Wonderful. Hope I win a copy!
I like all of the quilt blocks but would be more likely to do the Changing Gears one. I do like Applique work but find it to be a little more difficult as my fingers get stiffer. The less pieces to cut and manipulate the better for me.
I see the Martha Walker garden block in a small quilt. My vision is fuchsia and spring green. So pretty.
I love The Cornflowers block. The grow in the edge of the fields around here and I would love to try making them.
I’ld LOVE to win the magazine, the patterns are great!
greetings from Germany
Brigitte
Lil’ Matryoshki, so very cute and gear works
Shuttermom77 at gmail dot com
I think I would start with Posy Path…looks like a great way to use up scraps…and get in a bit of applique. Of course, Diamond Daze also caught my eye, because I love blue and yellow…can’t wait to get this magazine…thanks for the opportunity to win it!
My favorite is Posy Path as I love anything scrappy!
Block 415. Lil m..what a great idea …..
I love the dolls lined up on the shelf! That is so great!
Wow! What fun it would be to have the magazine to accompany the previous ones!
love love your magazine
Shifting Gears by Melissa Corry really catches my eye. I’m all about geometrics lately. I do love the Lil M girls though!
All the samples look interesting, but I think my first try would be “All Buckled Up” as I have been experimenting with different ways to do borders and I like the addition of the buckles.
I would love to win a copy of the magazine. It have not seen it here in Anchorage yet today, but that does not mean it is not here. It just means I have not hit every shop in town. :O
I do want to get this issue, looks like a lot of good projects. The middle quilt on the cover caught my eye.
I like the applique on the garden quilt.
Posy Path just calls out to me. Every time I see it, I want to make it more! And I will get to it. I will……………I………….! Thanks for a chance to win!

Cornflowers is so adorable. Would love the book.
I love the babushaka dolls! I would be making that one!

I like Lil’ Matryoshka. I see it hanging in my granddaughter’s bedroom. Would love to have the book.
I just have to make shifting gears! Its the best “guy” quilt i have ever seen! Perfect for the love of my life who is a gear head from way back! Im seeing it in blacks, rust and and grey to match his rat rod!!! It is definitely a gotta do!!!!
I like the Mexican Sunflower block pattern as I have 4 little great grand children that are part Mexican.
I’d like to make Shifting Gears, designed by Melissa Corry. I love the sense of movement. I’d use a very dark color instead of the white; and use bright solids or blends for the rest. Thanks for the chance to win.
I REALLY REALLY like Fiery Flower – it just positively jumps right out and says “Hi!
to me! I would love to win a copy of the magazine!!!!
I especially like the 13 Lil’ Matryoshki block. Thank you for the great giveaway!
I love the design in the middle of the front cover.
I love the Cornflower/Mexican flower pattern. The curvy borders with flowers looked like I could do it. Not too complicated. It is a perfect pattern for a quilt for our first granddaughter after 5 grandsons. She was born in April and her mothers wedding color was cornflower blue. Just was meant to be, I am thinking. Thank your for all your beautiful motivational ideas.
I just love Ann Weber’s ‘All Buckled Up’. I really enjoy applique.
To answer your question, the three quilts on the cover caught my eye and I would love to make them. I love the colors and the designs. Abloomin’ Garden combines piecing and applique and I love that. Blocked in would be great for a boy/man and I know my son would love it. Fiery Flower has a zing that appeals to me, with the red and pop of yellow. I also like Turtle Lagoon, it seems peaceful.
I am excited about all buckled up…it would fill the gaping empty spot over my fireplace.
The Lil’ Matryoshki would please my Russian Baboonya (means “little grandmother”) beyond belief! I so hope to get that pattern and make it for her!

I surprised myself when I just kept going back to Lil’ Matryoshki! I’m intrigued. Might even try it before I get the magazine! (But somehow, I think I’d be much more successful with it!!!!)
I like Posey Path because it uses both patchwork and applique.
I just loved “All Buckled Up” from the Buckle Up block. Some times can’t picture how you can take something as simple as a block and use parts of it to make a quilt or a wall hanging. I’d love to get this book to help give me ideas!!!
Fresh ideas on creating a finished project from new blocks. What fun!
Tquilkts you picked to showcase the issue are wonderful. Can’t wait to see the rest of the quilts.
Ohh, I think I like Mexican Sunflowers the best. And I’d love to win a copy of this!

I love All Buckled Up! I really liked how you made the block into a tablerunner. It is spilling all over…
Gear Works looks like something that I would try….looks pretty complicated but, I’m up for the challenge!
Another wonderful issue to look forward to!! Can’t wait to see all the quilts! I have gotten so much inspiration from the 100 Block issues.
I have always admired Nancy Mahoney’s quilts. I love the Mexican flowers quilt. I love Quiltmaker magazine and the 100Blocks books! I would love to win a book.
I love the Mexican Sunflowers, too cute! Thanks for the chance.
Shifting Gears would look great in Adelaide Crows, South Australia Football Team colours to keep you warm while watching the footie. Colours are red, yellow, blue and white. thanks for the ideas all the quilts look amazing.
I love the Quiltmaker magazine and keep going back to past issues to get ideas. I like the 3-Dflowers and the way the quilter expanded on it. I will get this magazine and think of ways I can expand or combine patterns and materials.
I would love to make the peek a boo bunnies, I love whimsical projects.
Quiltmaker is the only quilt magazine I’ve subscribed to almost from the beginning. I can live without a lot of things, but my Quiltmaker isn’t on the list of do without! As someone posted quilters make a lot of quilts in their heads when they get the newest Quiltmaker magazine or special issue. I hope I win, but even if I don’t, I have to own this magazine!
I love the quilt with the Russian dolls. Would love to do it for my baby daughter. Thanks x
I would love to win the Quiltmaker magazine. I love the cornflower block simple but nice.
I like the Cornflowers best. I love fabric folding, and the colours really caught my eye.
The dolls in Lil’ Matryoshki are so cute! Nested dolls have always fascinated me. I would definitely try to make it.
I need a tweenage boy’s quilt. Shifting gears would be perfect as his previous quilt was cars and roads and he still loves it. Just a bit more grown up for a bigger bed.
I love what the designers have done with the block designs. I can see making several of the things. I look forward to seeing the other things in the magazine.
The Posy Path by Martha Walker is my favorite. Looks like you could use up a lot of scraps. I have so many “future projects” in my head and this would definitely be one of them. If only we had the time to do all the things we wish to do……… If I don’t win the magazine, I will definitely look for it locally.
i am in love with the diamond daze and my mind is racing with the possibilites
i would love to make most of these blocks. i would make the buckle up quilts first.
Oh me oh my how wonderful this magazine is going to be! I have volume 5 and LOVE it. It is my all time favorite go to for inspiration. The pictures in your post above have me wanting to combine All Buckled Up and Cornflowers to make a bed runner! In fact I think I am off to my LQS to spy some fabric, of BUY more fabric so that I can start playing tonight!
Sonja’s dolls are perfect. I have a nurse friend from Russia who is getting married. I have to find a copy of this issue! What a perfect gift this will be! Thank You!!!

What a wonderful magazine. It would be wonderful to win and show off to
my quilting group in Australia.
It’s a toss up between the Cornflowers and the way the triangle blocks come together in Posy Path. But I think the Cornflowers would be my first choice.
All of them are beautiful, but I especially love the Matryoshki Doll table runner and would love to make it. Thanks for the chance to win.
I think the question should be, What project did not pique your interest. All projects pique my intrest depending on my mood, time of year or occasion. They all have a place in my library.
So hard to choose, but love the Posy Path.
I LOVE Peek-a-Boo Bunnies. I have to make this for my little grandson who lost his favorite bunny!
And the quilt “bucket list” continues to grow…
Loved all of the patterns. The buckle up one was my favorite. I would love to win this but will buy it if I don’t win.

What a wonderful magazine, so full of talent and inspiration! Hoping to get my paws on a copy!
Shifting Gears is so interesting! BUT…. the Cornflowers are the beautiful flowers along our roadsides (some people dare to call them ‘weeds’) – mix these with some “Queen Annes Lace” and it will be a wonderful wallhanging! Thanks for the inspiration!
Hard decision, but I think I like the Mexican Sunflowers the best. They’re all so nice!
Love the Posy Paths. Would love to get a copy of this.
I love them all, I’ve never tried most, if not all of these blocks. I see parts of soe blocks I’ve used for years. I would love to win your amazing book as it would give me patterns to shoot for! Its all so amazing!
Your blocks and quilt patterns are amazing! Very much a fan!
Definitely ‘Shifting Gears’ for me – I have two sons who are having milestone birthdays at the end of the year and this would be perfect! I never win anything, so I guess I won’t win the magazine and will have to try and find it somewhere… but I had to to have my say!!
I love the project ” All buckled up” its very unique.
Mexican Sunflowers. I havebeen thinking about a floral applique border for a while now and this might be it.
Shifting Gears would be one I would pick, because you could make it for a little boy and give little cars to play on the quilt, too. Duel purpose quilt!!

I think the All Buckled Up one would make a great table runner for St Patricks day.
Lil’ Matryoshki would make a great wall hanging for my granddaughter’s bedroom. I will get the magazine even if I don’t win one

Oh I love the colors of the Mexican flowers…..but really I’d have to start right away on so many of these!
thanks for the chance to win another fabulous block magazine!
Happy Sewing
All of the quilts are great but I think Gear Works might be at the top just because guy quilts are so hard to find. You can always put sports themed fabric in a quilt but if your guy isn’t into sports it’s hard to find a good pattern. This quilt can be made with any set of colors and not be over the top. Guys don’t seem to like busy anything in their clothes and decor. If the rest of the quilts are like these 5 you have another winner on your hands.
Gear Works block made a stunning Shifting Gears quilt. It has tremendous possibilities and is something that has made me sift through my stash to plan something similar. I also like 13 Lil’ Matryoshki. This looks like a quick gift wall hanging. I would love to play around with colours of the doll’s dresses. All buckled up is another one which has my fingers itching to try.
So excited about 13 Lil’ Matryoshki. I want to start the project now.
Being a lover of flowers, I immediately fell in love with the cornflowers…I am also a lover of every shade of blue. I may not be ablee to wait..I’ll just go buy the magazine!

The Garden block–it’s simple enough for me to make, yet still very pretty. Looks like a great issue!
All of the blocks are beautiful and I would definitely make most of them but the block that really peaked my interest is the All Aglow block. Thank you for an opportunity to win a copy of the magazine, I would cherish it.

I would love to win a copy. I would first start on the Posy Path pattern then work my way through the rest of the patterns. There are so many wonderful patterns that it is hard to say which pattern I would chose to work on after Posy Path. Thanks for the chance to win a copy.

(please excuse this and delete it if it is a duplicate. My computer conked out on me). I love Quiltmaker! I am planning on making quilts for every member of my family, including my amicable ex-husband’s wife, who is Russian. The little Russian Nesting Dolls would make a great table runner for Natasha, and a bed warmer for her college bound daughter! (keeping fingers crossed….
)
This looks like a great magazine and has wonderful, colorful quilts. I am fairly new to the quilting world and find the peace and harmony that goes with it. I love to create, and always have. I have discovered that sometimes I just have too many idea’s bouncing around my head though. This is where the quilting magazine comes in handy. I can find that luscious pattern and start cutting, and following the instructions. No matter what, I will buy this copy if I don’t win one of the free ones. Of course if I win it, then I can buy more material, lol. Like I don’t have enough
I must have a couple hundred yards at minimum, lol. “You can never have too much material”
would love to win a copy , i enjoy looking at the magazines , i love paper piecing and flowers

)
I like Martha Walker’s use of Garden block #363……..I can see me making this one. I really like quite a few of them but that one I like the best!
The Garden block popped off the page for me! I love making hour glass blocks and the applique is eye-catching! This pattern is so versatile…I can envision this block done using reproduction fabrics OR modern fabrics, plaids, prints, or polkadots, muted colors or bright colors The applique could be fused and machine stitched, buttonhole stitched by hand, or needle-turned! How about using wool for the applique and creating a primitive look?
I would love to try “Buckle Up”. So feminine…Thanks for the chance to win this issue
The Lil’ Matryoshka is just darling w/ the fussy cut bicycle skirt!!
I LOVE the Cornflower pattern – will have to make this one. How beautiful!

I really have a hard time choosing just one that I like the most. If I have to choose it would have to be the Mexican Sunflowers. I have enjoyed the magazine over the years.
As I scrolled down the webpage, seeing all of the lovely blocks, I stopped at Sonja Callaghan’s block #415 (Lil’ Matryoshka). I absolutely loved it and could see so many possibilities using fabric from my stash. This block has started me thinking about my next quilting project.

What a great magazine! I would love to win it, but will have to buy it if I don’t!! I’ve been cutting my scraps up according to the Scrap Therapy method combined with Bonnie Hunter’s techniques, so many of these patterns will make wonderful use of my ready-to-use scrap stash!!
Looks like a great collection – like I need more…but what fun to be able to try out more patterns.
Thanks.
Great magazine. I would take the cornflower quilt, because I love these flowers very much.
Britta
Marianna was just born. When Marianna’s Mother came to visit me she brought me a gift of Lil’Matryoshka fat quarters. She told me they reminded her of her mother who died when she was still little. I’d love to win this so it can be hung on Marianna’s wall as a remembrance of the Grandmother she will never know.
I love the quilts on the cover and the use of a limited palette really interests me but in the UK it is so hard to get hold of decent quilting magazines as we often don’t know they even exist until we see something like this online. Bonnie Hunter suggested popping over here to look and I’m really glad she did. I’ll be back…. as the saying goes.
I am really loving Moose Tracks, and it looks like something a beginner like me could handle

This would certainly help me deplete some of my stash. Here’s hoping!
Posy Path is very pretty and looks like it could be a great scrap buster. But there are so many wonderful patterns in this issue. Can’t wait to get a copy! I love Quiltmaker publications

My favorite so far is the Fiery Flower – love the color combination in that one. Buckled Up caught my eye as well. Small projects like that make such nice gifts! Thanks for a chance to win a copy of the magazine!

I would love to win a copy of your magazine. I never see the 100 Blocks magazines in the stores where I live so I sure will not see this issue in the stores either. The Russian/Ukrainian dolls have me searching my stash for suitable fabrics.
I’d love to have a copy…love the cover and I’m sure the inside is even better.
Love the shifting gears as my husband and I own a GEAR business and he’s been asking for a quilt for years.
Absolutely love “Mexican Sunflowers”! It would be wonderful to win this magazine. I have been a fan and avid customer of Quiltmaker magazine for years. “Hubby thinks I have too many ……. why not add just one more!”
So many designs catch my attention, but my favorite is “Posey Path”. The choice of color is striking.
Shifting gears would be a great pattern for my nephew. I’m always trying to find quilts that are not too feminine or flowery.
