Welcome, Peanut Patch!

Now that we’re well into our second year of QM’s Patch Pals, it almost feels like each new design deserves a birth announcement.

Announcing the Arrival

As we produce each issue, the whole staff looks forward to what Graphic Designer Denise Starck will come up with next. First we see the design in rough sketch. Over time, Denise fine-tunes it.

Eventually we send the pattern to a home sewer and we’re always delighted when the finished quilt shows up in our office.

Here are a few of my other favorites from the Patch Pals series.

Ruff Patch, Quiltmaker May/June '11. Kits available.

Kits are available for the Patch Pals and they include the pattern. Or just dig into your scrapbag and go for it!

All of the Patch Pals quilts are the same size (about 40″ x 51″), so the borders and center portions are all interchangeable. You can use any center you like with any border you choose. Isn’t that a cool idea?!

You can see all of the Patch Pals on one convenient page. Denise has a few more adorable Pals up her sleeve for the coming months. We think you’ll enjoy them!

I just started working at a quilt shop. Earlier this week, a lady brought this pattern in to choose fabrics; but, she’s doing the elephant in purples! :)

  3. Jill In OH says:

Oh, I think this one is my favorite!!!

I just saw “Mr. Peanut” at the grocery store a couple of hours ago. Each one is more fun than the last I think. I think I need to borrow some grandkids.
