The folks at OttLite have a definite winner in their 3-in-1 Craft Lamp. I’ve been using it next to the sewing chair in my living room for several months and I love it.

It also works great near the sewing machine as shown above.
My living room is softly lit, mostly with decorative lamps, so in the evenings when I do handwork, it’s not easy to see. The 3-in-1 Craft Lamp has solved that problem completely.
The features I like the most:
• A broad shade so it casts light in a larger area to maximize workspace
• Hands-free 5x magnifier
• A clip to hold a pattern or chart that I’m working from
• Adjustable height of 45″ to 64″

The floor model converts easily to a clip-on or table lamp (see boxes above), which gives you additional bang for your buck.
I enjoy being near my family when they’re watching TV or reading, and this lamp makes that possible. The OttLite 3-in-1 Craft Lamp retails for $269.99 but is currently on special for $189.99 through the OttLite website. If you prefer to buy locally, it is widely available at quilt shops, JoAnn and Target. (Discounts at these retailers will vary.)

Looks like it’s $119.00 and free shipping at Amazon! I think I’ll order one. Thanks for telling us about it. $269.99 is way too much for it, come to think of it, so is $189.99.
I don’t have this specific OttLite, but whenever I’ve needed a new lamp or light of any kind, I seem to have bought an OttLite. My eyes love them.
Wow you are lucky. A trip to my “local” quilt store means 3 hours in the car and a half tank of gas! Your quilt is lovely! You must have had a great time mainkg it! Thanks for sharing.
