Love this give away! I am a Quiltmaker subscriber and on FB with QM. That’s how I learned about this. I have used tips, techniques and blocks from Quiltmaker, including a Disappearing Nine Patch in two similar fabrics for preemie twins born in January. Everyone loved my pattern and wanted it. I just told them to check Quiltmaker.

This is my third blog tour with QM for 100 Blocks. I first heard of this one from this blog, quilty pleasures, as I read this blog several times a week. The 100 Blocks hop is one of my favorite hops (fabric designer hops are another). Thanks for the giveaways and the chance to see posts about the blocks on many of the block designers sites. QM’s format for the tour is easy to follow. I’ve made some of the blocks from past editions, and love these magazines as a reference.
One suggestion: block designer tour participants should not require anyone to follow their blog or like them on FB as a requirement for entry into the giveaway of the magazine itself. If they have their own giveaway in addition to the hop, then perhaps (though I do not like it).

I am commenting on the discussion regarding the “Facet-nating” quilt block. It was very educating how you presented the way you came to the final decision of your blocks construction. I first heard about the Blog Tour last year on the Quiltmaker website. Had just gotten online hi speed, so was able to download patterns finally. On dial-up, that just wasnt possible. I have a slew of quilty blogs I read regularly. The Blog Tour (the one before ORANGE) was mentioned, so I jumped on board, won a prize. Now when Blog Tour is mentioned, I try not to miss out on a single day of it!

I think I must have heard about the 100 Blocks Blog Tour by visiting one of my favorite quilting blogs. Was it Carrie Nelson’s La Vie en Rosie? Maybe…anyway, it was for Volume 2, since it seems I completely missed the Volume 1 tour much to my regret. I’m still kicking myself over that one. I guess I was off in la la land at the time. So sad to have missed such an important quilting event!
