My absolute favorite thing is the Thor block by Whistlepig Creek designed by Sue. I want to go out and buy the “Days of Yor” and make something for my grandson. Great blogs this morning! I spent so much time reading them; that I have not gotten a single thing done around the house. This blog tour has been so much fun – how could I choose a favorite. I liked seeing the blocks, hearing the back story of the design process, seeing quilts made with the blocks, finding new blogs to enjoy, AND the possibility of winning prizes!
My favorite part of the blogs is where I find personal information about the designers. Their cats, their kids, their weather! Sometimes I think there has to be some special training or special gift to be able to come up with such designs. Then I realize that some of the bloggers are just “regular folk” too!

I have yet to view this issue. Yes I know I sew and quilt but have never viewed this seems insane but I live in a cave and dont often venture outside. I am glad I tried this blog and am learning there is more out there than I ever imagined.

I made a point to copy and save all my comments I made, because I realize that I want to remember who I am as a quilter and a person right now, and all about me and my personality. I want to remember my thoughts as I look at all these wonderful blocks and quilts!
The other thing I really enjoyed was hearing the stories behind the blocks and the design processes behind them. The blocks will mean so much more to me, now that I know something about the blocks and their designers. Since quilting is a way to journal and blog anyway, just in fabric, it’s valuable to share and socialize. I am also getting ideas so I can start my own quilting blog. Any suggestions?

My favorite thing about the tour is seeing all the blocks used in different layouts. Winning a prize would be icing on the cake, though.
I liked seeing how alot of the block designers showed the blocks put into quilts with different layouts and different colors. There are alot of options to make the blocks & quilts look completely different!

My absolute favourite part of the tour is meeting all the quilters and designers’ blogs that are in each wonderful issue of the 100 blocks series
I just love to quilt but being caregiver to my 87 year old Mom who use to be prolific at quilting now has osteoporosis, severe dementia and alzheimer’s disease. My time at the machine is limited but I get so excited just looking at all the new blocks and the different use of color in the fabrics I get inspired and dream of the day that I will again be able to attach myself to my sewing machine to create. Thanks for all the inspiration and conversation. For a home bound person it keeps me connected. God Bless

The best thing about the blog tour is seeing what everyone is giving away (really!) it is fun to dream about goodies in the mail box. And the bonus: The second best thing is just seeing what everyone came up with.

The greatest thing about the “tour” is the variety of blogs & blocks to devour! It’s virtually impossible for one to view all the blogs out there but with the tour you get to dip into places you may not have been aware of. I’ve been sick all week with pneumonia, so I just got in on the last day. I think my favorite thing about the blog tour is realizing all these talented people out there who also quilt. My favorite part of the blog tour is the amazing outpouring of talent! It is a wonderful opportunity to see the blogs of these talented designers.
I am on inspiration overload and wonder what inspired each block designer to make such beautiful works of art. I am trully inspired by all that I have saw on the tour. The thing that I enjoy most of all are the colors of the fabrics and the artful way that each piece is placed to make a completed block. To all that are involved you ROCK!!!!!!

I love the inspiration found. Colors I wouldn’t usually put together look so wonderful! I like the second teal colorway, as the bright teal block just brings you eye into the block, and several together would make a fun, bright, happy quilt.
I love blog tours especially with the chance to win, but even without a prize I get to check out books, magazines, etc. I don’t drive so it’s let me see what’s actually out there with a chance to brouse the book.

The blog hop gives us the sampling of the diversity in store for us when we open the 5th edition. Kudos to the editors in giving us a melting pot of quilty goodness. Who knows? Maybe some modern quilters will see traditional blocks they love and viceversa!

Wow. There isn’t anything I don’t like about the block tour. I’m a new quilter and obsessed beyond belief. All I can think about these days is are all the things I could be quilting.
