    This blog tour has been so much fun – how could I choose a favorite. I liked seeing the blocks, hearing the back story of the design process, seeing quilts made with the blocks, finding new blogs to enjoy, AND the possibility of winning prizes!

    My favorite part of the blogs is where I find personal information about the designers. Their cats, their kids, their weather! Sometimes I think there has to be some special training or special gift to be able to come up with such designs. Then I realize that some of the bloggers are just “regular folk” too!

I made a point to copy and save all my comments I made, because I realize that I want to remember who I am as a quilter and a person right now, and all about me and my personality. I want to remember my thoughts as I look at all these wonderful blocks and quilts!
    The other thing I really enjoyed was hearing the stories behind the blocks and the design processes behind them. The blocks will mean so much more to me, now that I know something about the blocks and their designers. Since quilting is a way to journal and blog anyway, just in fabric, it’s valuable to share and socialize. I am also getting ideas so I can start my own quilting blog. Any suggestions?

    I just love to quilt but being caregiver to my 87 year old Mom who use to be prolific at quilting now has osteoporosis, severe dementia and alzheimer’s disease.     I love the inspiration found. Colors I wouldn’t usually put together look so wonderful! I like the second teal colorway, as the bright teal block just brings you eye into the block, and several together would make a fun, bright, happy quilt.

    I love the blog tour because you can find so many different styles, techniques, tastes..in one place. It’s like a really good food court :) The blog hop gives us the sampling of the diversity in store for us when we open the 5th edition. Kudos to the editors in giving us a melting pot of quilty goodness. Who knows? Maybe some modern quilters will see traditional blocks they love and viceversa!
