About Diane Harris

I'm an editor for Quiltmaker magazine in Golden, Colorado, USA. For six years, I wrote pattern instructions, product reviews and how-to articles. Then I spent four years as QM's Interactive Editor, working to generate much of our online content. Now I'm back to patterns and how-tos, which is a great fit for me. I still love writing about quilt-related topics for Quilty Pleasures, and I always have my finger on the pulse of the quilting world. I teach a variety of quilt classes and give guild programs, too. What a great giveaway. I have recently been overcome with a love for the dresden plate design.Last week I made a small quilted mat and a tote bag with it on.

  2. wordygirl says:

Tomorrow morning I shall finish a crazy quilt, which I am privately thinking of as “The Quilt I Cannot Stop Fiddling With”. Today, as I was piecing the backing, I came up with yet another way to make it awesome, thus adding more time to its construction. Tomorrow, I am done. I will be satisfied and can then move on to one of my other works in (halted) progress.

  3. Gayle Benigar says:

  15. toni-anne says:

For the past few days I have created my own spring festival. I have cut out zillions of pretty coloured felt flowers which will adorn an exquisite four poster dolls bed that my retired cabinet-maker father has made in a beautiful Jarrah along with matching wardrobe, side-sideboard table and chairs. My mother needed a little help to complete her part of this dolly ensemble as the two small nieces are arriving from England on Tuesday apparently, so we are working together to get it all done. Over the last year, my mother has taken a interesting foray into the world of doll making and has produced some interesting characters to inhabit this furniture along with the oh so vital changes of clothing and accessories, that a well dressed doll might require. She is a little apprehensive that the young girls will like their new friends, it really does give grandparents such pleasure to see their childrens eyes to light up.
