A Great Story: Quilts and Heroes

Jennifer Stevens is a current Scrap Squad member, and she is married to a wrestling coach in Hays, Kansas. Jennifer sent me the link to the story below and I think Quilty Pleasures readers will enjoy it. In a time when we don’t have enough heroes, this story about a wrestling legend making a Quilt of Valor for another kind of hero is pretty cool.

About Diane Harris

I'm an editor for Quiltmaker magazine in Golden, Colorado, USA. For six years, I wrote pattern instructions, product reviews and how-to articles. Then I spent four years as QM's Interactive Editor, working to generate much of our online content. Now I'm back to patterns and how-tos, which is a great fit for me. I still love writing about quilt-related topics for Quilty Pleasures, and I always have my finger on the pulse of the quilting world. I teach a variety of quilt classes and give guild programs, too. Reach me by email: editor@quiltmaker.com.

That is a man who truly knows what HONOR means, and lives it. He’s an inspiration to us all.

  2. Helen says:

What a remarkable story. This shows that anyone can sew/quilt. This makes me want to make a Valor Quilt soon.
