  1. Karen says:

I really like the hidden treasure quilt because I love the way the stars are placed to create other hidden stars. Gorgeous fabrics in the display quilt, too.

  2. hafza says:

I love the Petal Path design especially in Petal Pusher fabric… remind me of my garden with flowers everywhere.

  3. Amanda Wulf says:

My favorite is chain reaction from the issue. I love how the colors intertwine. I can see this done with black, white and some red or pink . It’s on my “to do” list. My next favorite is the petal pushers. I love flowers! BUT, I have a black thumb! So, I do love applique. I haven’t “killed” any applique flowers yet! LOL

  4. Karlene says:

Enjoyed the entire magazine but to choose a favorite I would have to say the Minnesota Homewarming by Pat Speth. I would love to make that quilt as I love the colors chosen, enjoy that type of piecing and in fact, even like the name of the quilt as I have a friend in Minnesota that would love to have such a quilt.

  5. I have to say that I am not a lover of row quilts but I do like Petal Path… but I think that Hidden Treasures would have to be my favorite of the patterns in this issue.

  6. kaholly says:

I like Petal Path the best. It’s fresh and springy with nice clean lines. It lends itself to any colorway, and would be pretty even made scrappy.

  7. Deb says:

I love the Quiltmaker’s Garden the best…love the birds, watering can, and flowers! But I like the Petal Path design, too! I’d love to win one of the quilt tops. Thanks so much!

  8. Julia P says:

For me it is a toss up between Chain Reaction and Petal Path. Love the QM’s Scrap Squad versions of Chain Reaction. Love the applique in Petal Path. Thanks for a really great giveaway!

  9. Beth Brown says:

I love the quilt on the cover – the Quiltmaker’s Garden. I’ve made a quilt using a similar cardinal pattern so this cover really caught my eye!

  10. robin says:

I like the Minnesota Homewarming pattern. Probably in large part because the title has Minnesota in it! haha

  11. Cathy says:

Minnesota Homewarming is my favorite, but the entire issue was great.

  12. My favorite is chain reaction. I like the way it makes diamonds.

  13. Carrie P. says:

Well my first pick is the Petal Pushers pattern because my favorite thing to do is applique. I do like the Quiltmaker’s garden too. I actually made the flowers when they came out in a smaller version.

  14. Patti says:

I like chain reaction because of the colors and how great it looks using different color ways. thanks for a chance.

  15. Regina says:

I like both Hidden Treasure and Chain Reaction as they both seem the most scrap quilt friendly… though I am a bit leery of all the angles in Chain Reaction.

  16. Carolyn Olsen says:

My favorite quilt project is Around the Town, followed by a very close second Minnesota Homecoming. I would love to win a quilt top. Thank you for this chance to win.

  17. Patti Nash says:

This was my first issue and I am in love. Great pictures, great ideas, great info. I love this magazine. Can’t wait for my next issue.

  23. Deborrah Cisneros says:

I am just getting started in quilting, and seem to be drawn to the star quilt patterns. With that, I really like “Grandpa’s Star” quilt. Being able to use up many of the scrap fabrics that I have to create such an eye pleasing quilt would be awesome.

  24. Lisa says:

I like Petal Path because it allows the opportunity to use a large chunck of a pretty floral that is too difficult to cut into and coordinate some applique flowers with it. It looks like a lovely pattern for donation quilt that will go together quickly if you use machine applique.

  25. busynewfie says:

i would truly enjoy winning a quilt top…i would cherish the fact that someone made it with a lot of love for fabric and the outcome of hard work, and be so pretty. wishing everyone good luck, as we would all enjoy a present of this kind.

  26. Diann Smith says:

Calico Clothworks is my favorite..like the movement/colors.

  27. Melissa says:

Oh, it is so hard to choose, but I am going to say Petal Path. I really like the vertical design and the simple piecing that allows the applique to really stand out. It is a very upbeat, happy design that has a romantic bent. Plus, it really lends itself to a variety of color ways!

  28. Pamela says:

I love the Calico clockwork. It reminds me not only of a clock but also of pinwheels in some ways. I love the colors. I would quilt it and give it to My Very Own Blanket for charity as some child in child services would find comfort in it. You can see the site at MVOB.org . Thanks for the opportunity to win whatever quilt top I could as whatever it is a child in child services will love it.

  29. Sue Tuma says:

I love Minnesota Homewarming. It’s absolutely beautiful plus do able with all my other projects I have going.

  38. Connie Cox says:

    I’m torn between 2…
The Around Town color option in Everything But the Kitchen Sink and the Petal Path color option in Petal Pushers. All are gorgeous.

My final decision is The Around Town option in Everything but the Kitchen Sink. It reminds me of quilts my grandmother made.

Everything but the kitchen sink is just my style

  55. Angie SoCal says:

How generous!! I love Kay’s Petal’s Path quilt. Always happy to see an article and quilt by her. They are so precious. Hope I win one! And of course hope it’s the Petal Path’s version.

    PS: they’re all great.

  56. Jilly Anderson says:

I think that the workmanship and color placement and design for the “everything but the kitchen sink” deserves a place in my collection of all time favorites! I am a new quilter and have a desire to make something as beautiful and inspirational as this one day. If I won, I would put this on my wall in my sewing room/office/dogs room/ ! so that every day I could gain knowledge, inspiration and aspiration amongst the perspiration that goes into every quilt I tackle! When I saw the Quiltmaker’s Garden in the March/April issue, I immediately wished that my quilting skills were so much more advanced so I could make one for my mother. Besides her love of her family, gardening and quilting are her two passions in life. This beautiful design and the spring tone colors just say “Mom” to me. My mother is so giving in both these areas. She makes so many charity and prayer quilts for others and her basket is always full of fruits, vegetables and flowers to share with neighbors and those in need. She often brings bundles of flowers to our church food pantry with the thought that people need food and shelter, but they also need something beautiful to cheer the heart. If I win this quilt, it will be finished and given to her as a well-deserved mother’s day gift.

  62. Alice Sheen says:

I have quilted all my life, but joined a Quilter’s Guild five years ago to try to use all my “stash” in different appealing patterns and techniques. “Around Town” was my favorite project because the stars and beautiful borders are what I am currently trying to master. All of the quilt giveaways just demonstrate what you can do when different colors are introduced. Wonderful!!

  63. I love Petal Path because it can be done in so many different colors and brings springtime in early.

  64. Jeanne says:

This is so tough. Of course they are all beautiful but I narrowed it down to Quiltmaker’s Garden because I love flowers and Hidden Treasures because I love the color combo. 71. Becky Hajny says:

I like the Petal Pushers pattern and love the 2 colorways it has been displayed in the magazine. Keep up the good work with providing us with a wonderful magazine.

  79. Candace says:

My favorite is Quiltmakers Garden because I just love the mix of techniques to make this fascinating and serene setting…I can just see myself sitting there enjoying the flowers and butterflies!

  86. Linda Israels says:

I like the Chain Reaction project. I can use up my scraps, it has multiple sizes and I am always looking for simple projects to make lap quilts for the patients at our local vet’s hospital. This looks like it fills the bill on all counts and is something a little different.

  87. What a generous give away.
I am not sure, which one to choose, but I love the petal path as well as Grandpa’s Star.

  88. Sue Gibson says:

I like “Around the Town”. It reminds me of a quilt I made last year but it looks much easier! I love stars, and maybe I’ll get to keep this one!

Petal Pushers is so bright and cheerful. I’m thinking Spring.

Its always difficult to pick just one Quiltmaker pattern as my favourite, but I’m going to with Hidden Treasures. I know I’m supposed to see beyond the colours shown but I am always drawn to anything in a blue/green colour combo. I work full time and don’t have a lot of spare time so throw quilts are my favourite size to make – big enough to snuggle under but small enough to have a finished project in a reasonable time. 110. Karen Pollard says:

Oh my! So many pretty patterns and projects, and I can only pick one??? I love all the beautiful spring colors of the new fabric lines too. I suppose if I was going to pick a project to make, it would have to be Hidden Treasures. Love the pattern and also love the colorway it’s made in. Decision Decisions…how I hate to make choices when I can only have one!!

  111. Jan Kaye says:

Minnesota Homewarming – Love everything about it – the fabrics (Batiks baby!) you picked, the simplicity, the calmness it evokes. I love the Around town in the original colors but I think my favorite right now has to be the Petal Path in the pink and bright colors of spring in the Petal Pushers fabric, it gray and damp here and this makes me thing spring will get here with all its flowers and bright colors ( one of these days :)

  119. Kim says:

I loved the whole magazine. I think Minnesota Homewarming is the favorite one I’d like to make for myself, but am seriously considering sewing Chain Reaction for my grandson. He’s a huge Bronco fan, so I’d make it in oranges and blues. Timeless Treasures Orange rush would be a great beginning!

  120. Nancy Anderson says:

I love Minnesota Homewarming. It is a stunning quilt that is easy enough to make and has a great, creative border. What more could you ask for? Thanks for the giveaway! There are many quilters (including myself) who would be happy to quilt them and send them on to one of these fine charities.

  121. Joan in NE says:

Although I like several patterns the Grandpa’s Star fits what I am doing right now, trying to reduce the scraps in my stash. I think those things multiply in the baskets!!

So, this would be my inspiration!
    Thankss

    Leann

  157. Rhonda Harrell says:

As I am a new subscriber, I have not received my first magazine yet. However in looking at the online index, I would be most apt to do the Calico Clothworks. I do Quilts of Valor and that would be a nice pattern to do in Red, White and Blue. I am looking forward to getting this magazine.

  158. Mary C in WA says:

I like the “Quiltmaker’s Garden” quilt. I bookmarked the “Around the Town” when I first got the magazine though. I’d love to win a finished Quilt top! What a Great Give-away. Thanks for the chance

I love the fresh colors of Pedal Pushers! Beautiful!

  165. Marilyn McSpadden says:

While I really like Chain Reaction, my favorite is Petal Play because I could just load it sideways on my longarm and quilt to my heart’s desire. Some quilts just cry out to be quilted a certain way, and Petal Play is screaming to me! :)

  166. Sandra C. says:

I love making scrappy quilts. I have been sewing for over fifty years and have fabric scraps from my college years and when my children were little and I was a stay at home mom. I have officially been quilting for five years and appreciate the opportunity to use some of that fabric and fondly remember the items made from the fabric scraps. So my favorite is Grandpa’s Star. Plan to make a quilt for each of my children using fabric scraps from things I made for them. Thanks for the idea.

  167. Marilyn McSpadden says:

    Oops! I meant Petal Path!

  168. Nancy says:

I like Hidden Treasure because the colors remind me of the ocean; and that is my favorite place to be in the summer months. I love searching for pieces of seaglass along the shore; and a couple of summers ago…bought myself a pair of earrings made with genuine sea glass. I had been searching for a long time, because most of the shops sell stuff that has been man tumbled to look genuine.

  169. Gail Keskic says:

They are all beautiful but I am drawn to Bunny Patch – it is so adorable! It would look wonderful in baby’s crib. ;)

  170. Joan Trautwein says:

Loved the quilt on the cover. Beautiful fabrics, colors and whimsical pattern.

  172. NANCY CHADDICK says:

Grandpa’s Star – seeing that my absolute favorite quilts to make include as many fabrics as I can scrounge from my stash!! Chain Reaction is gorgeous in the fabrics shown – any one of my granddaughters would grab that one up!! 174. Jean Clark says:

The Quilt “Everything but the Kitchen sink” is a great example of what you can do with some of that stach fabric that you bought that did not quite work with the quilt you were working on at the time you bought it. It worked with that other material that you bought with that other project. Clean up that stach and Buy some more.. I would love it. If not the top itself at least a pattern.. I also have a project in mind that some extra quilts tops would be very helpful.

  183. susanne Lydon says:

I love all the quilt tops but I think my first favorite choice was the Petal Patch, I like the flowers and it looks easy enough for a beginner, which I am. I also thought the Bunny Patch was cute for an easter gift. Hopefully it is an easy pattern? I think I love all your quilt tops but those are my favorites. thank you .

  184. Nancy Lindquist says:

I like Quiltmakers Garden the best. The colors are nice, and it feels so serene.
I also like random design sometimes, as I have made “picture” quilts for grandkids.
Minnesota homwarming caught my eye as I live in MN, but Quiltmakers Garden wins.

  188. Roberta Buckley says:

My very favorite thing that you do in your magazine is the Color Options. It makes all the difference for me, and I always seem to prefer your softer color choices, or fabric lines. My very favorite quilt in this issue is the Quiltmaker’s Garden. It’s fanTastic! Beyond beautiful – blueRibbonWorthy, even! Of the Color Option quilts, I’m in love with Around the Town – the softer color option immediately caught my attention; made the quilt irresistibly appealing. The March/April issue is Wonderful, btw – so many interesting articles and time-lines. Thanks for this generous contest – I pre-congratulate the Winner. :-)

  190. Lisa Hare-Walsh says:

I love the quiltmakers garden project as it includes piecing and applique. The colors and design are very spring like which would make a beautiful project to work on after a long cold winter. 191. Nancy McFall says:

I love the Petal Path! I’ve been quilting for many years but I haven’t been brave enough to try applique until recently. Now that I know how challenging it is and how satisfying handwork can be I’m hooked. I think this quilt is just perfect, large blocks of color and beautiful applique.

  192. Dianne Hammer says:

I love the Quiltmaker’s Garden. Keep these great patterns coming!

  193. Patricia says:

All of the quilts are gorgeous but the Petal Path made with Memories of Provence is such an elegant quilt. It reminds me of my mother who I lost this last year. Her eyes would light up when she saw such a lovely work of art and she would have to have it.
She loved quilts and had many made by my grandmother which our family has always cherished as heirlooms. I and my children have grown up around these wonderful quilts and the stories revolving around them. They have always been a source of comfort to our family. Quilting has been such a blessing for me. It is so relaxing to me to work on these quilts for family and friends that can be passed down for future generations and become part of their heritage.

  194. gloria miller says:

Around Town is the quilt that would be the quilt for me. Being older the more subdued colors, the many old time block patterns would give me the feeling of serenity that makes a quilt give comfort.

  196. Helen says:

I love the Diamond Fortune pattern, especially in the “Sparkling Gems” color option. To me it looks 3 dimensional and the color variance for this design is unlimited. I also love the challenge of paper piecing.

Love “Everything But The Kitchen Sink”. It is soooo cheerful and bright! Kerrie

I absolutely love the “Pedal Pushers” quilt . It reminds me of sunny days to come in these bleak winter days of Feb.

  199. Dee London says:

I very much favor the top [Around Town] for the rich colors and that it looks complicated but I know that it is not. I also like that there is a material list for a queen size quilt listed.

  200. Chris Bowyer says:

Minnesota housewarming-I have the fabrics and plan to do that one! The issue is great!

  206. Janice Park says:

I just love Quiltmaker magazine, you seem to have very different patterns and some of the most talented quilters. My favorite is Grandpa’s star by Bonnie Hunter. I love using up my scraps and Bonnie is so creative with her block patterns and her scrap savers system. I have made several of her patterns. This block will soon be done as a group project at our Scrap Yard Gang club at the local quilt shop.

  210. Eileen says:

I like Minnesota Homecoming. It has so many ideas in one pattern. Several older quilters, some of whom have passed away, gave me some orphan blocks. The ideas for wonderful borders found in this pattern have my creative juices flowing to allow me to create something new and beautiful from something old and beautiful. I also appreciate the great skillbuilder, Get Your Geese in a Row. Thank you!

  215. Diana Lovell says:

I absolutely love the Pedal Path! It is so whimsical, flowing, and feminine. The pink and orange one would be so perfect for a girl’s room. The red & blue one, which I like the best, also has a somewhat traditional look. Although it’s feminine, I know that my husband would love it as well.

  216. Marilyn Rotunda says:

I love Quiltmaker’s Garden. I love the color combinations and all the different types of squares. I love the rose squares, the bird squares, the pinwheel squares and the way it is all put together. I can’t wait to receive all the parts of the series.

  217. Carol Dittoe says:

It’s hard to pick one thing from the issue. I have loved Quiltmaker for YEARS!!! If forced to chose from this issue, though, I would have to select the Petal Path for several reasons: its beauty, its simplicity and its color. The overall look is great and I can’t wait to make it!

  218. Love all of these quilts, how is a person to choose which is the nicest? LOL

know what colors make one quilt stand out more…………

  231. Sandra Timmons says:

You make this so hard to just pick one pattern only. Now with the color options available, it becomes even harder. The color options shown below the pattern is such a great idea. There are so many endless possibilities. I want to make all of these quilts and now I need to choose one. The one I would pick is the Calico Clothworks designed by Susie Ennis and made by Donna Benham. This has a Quiltmaker twist and sure is a classic update to make this quilt pattern easy and to step back in time. Yes, I would like to win this quilt. Why? Because my niece is getting married and this would be quite the gift to give as well as to receive. I really enjoy this blog and look forward to reading it every day. You never know what will be coming next. Thank you for a job well done.

I am all a-twitter for Quiltmaker’s Garden! The soft colors of Spring in contrast to the brighter colors set the cardinal and blue jay a-flutter! I always look forward to the welcoming voices of birds calling me outside to join them in the warmer weather; and, inviting me to plant seeds for flowers from which they can enjoy their sweet nectar! You have to think a little bit when you are assembling the block, but not too much (exercising our brains is always a good thing) And what a wonderful way to use scraps! (but no one has to know it wasn’t planned that way) Love, love this magazine, every issue!!!!

  395. Ronda Martin says:

I love the Calico Clothworks color option in Covent Garden fabrics from Benartex. I just love how all the colors come together in it. I love all quilts and love making them and giving them away as well.

  396. Alice Callahan says:

I love Around town. It would look great draped over my sofa or as a wall hanging over it.

  397. Rita Horine says:

I like the Quilt,” Petal Path”, the colors are perfect. I do like” Everything but the Kitchen Sink” too. Actually I like all of them and would be happy to have any of them.

  400. Dixie McAdam says:

I love Minnesota Homewarming as it has a pieced border & is done from an assortment of lovely batiks. One day I would love to do such a quilt, firstly from a mixture of batiks (to diminish my stash), then secondly with the addition of a pieced border. This is a new technique for me & I found the additional tips given in this magazine an added bonus. Thanks Quiltmaker!

  401. MaryBeth says:

I love the Bunny Patch quilt. The Patch Pal quilts are just adorable.

  402. Tina Wilson says:

I love the Garden quilt from the cover. If I had not seen the article, I would never even dream of attempting to make it. However your magazine makes it seem do-able as always.

  405. As a lover of blues, I particularly like the Covent Garden quilt, BUT really like them all and would be proud to own any of them. I do like the color options you give with the quilts done in colors/fabrics different from the original. I find it helps me think outside the box when I am not particularly fond of the original fabrics shown on a pattern.

  406. Cheri says:

I love the Petal Patch in Petal Pushers farics. They remind me of Florida, my home.

  407. barb jansz says:

Sorry, I mispelled my email address.

  409. Dianne Mischlich says:

I like both Minnesota Homewarming and Around the Town. However, if I had to pick one of those as my favorite it would be Minnesota Homewarming. I love the colors in the quilt made for the magazine. I hope to eventually make both of these quilts.

  410. Hazel Dickinson says:

I really liked the article on making Pieced Borders Fit. since my budget is tight I often have to sew with limited fabric so my borders tend to be pieced. thanks for the information on how to make them fit easier.

  411. Lea Brummett says:

I really liked the Petal Path quilt. Its been a long winter and this one just says springtime and warmer weather. Gardening runs a close second to quilting, so this one wrapped up both hobbies in one. It looks fairly simple to make so it would give me plenty of time to get out and enjoy the warmer days!

  412. Pat Castonguay says:

It’s a hard choice between Minnesota Homewarming or Hidden Treasures.

  413. Karen Becker says:

It amazes me how different a quilt can look from someone else’s perspective. We all need to think outside of the box and choose fabrics outside of our comfort zone every once in a while. I won’t be picky – would love to win any of them!

  414. Chris says:

What a great opportunity for us :) I especially like the around town quilt top, the colors and prints in the quilt are speaking to me!

  415. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Minnesota Homewarming!! I’ve got a stack of batiks just beggin’ to be whipped into a quilt and that one would be perfect!!!

  416. Sandy says:

My favorites are Chain Reaction and Minnesota Homewarming. I gravitate to patterns that help me use up my scraps. There always seems to be something in Quiltmaker that appeals to my taste.

  417. Sherri Ohnsted says:

Diamond Fortune is my favorite. I like the designs that are a little different from the traditional patchwork.

Minnesota Homewarming is my favorite, Around the Town is second.
I home Homewarmings center star, and the scraappy-ness of the quilt. It looks so cozy to me.

  421. Carla Bower says:

I really like “Around Town” as it is a good piece to learn different techniques such as half square triangles and flying geese. I may use this quilt as an inspiration for a class I can teach.

  422. Kay Jones says:

I like Around the town it’s looks simple and elegant. It’s one that is on my “bucket list”. The other is the Minnesota Homewarming. It has my colors and would look great in my bedroom.

  426. Starkers666 says:

What beautiful quilts. Showing them in different colours show just how much difference colour can make. I found it very difficult choosing my favourite but it woul have to be Patel Path in the Petal Pushers colours. As soon as I looked at this design it reminded me of my seven year old niece – so dainty and such a pretty little thing.

  427. Lisa Cox says:

I really like the Hidden Treasures quilt. I just recently learned how to do
    half square triangles.

  428. Jo Stires says:

I really like Calico Clothworks. It can be made for someone of any age or for a boy or a girl.

  429. Sharon says:

I just love Grandpa’s Star. I have lots of scraps that I would love to use up.

I love the Petal Pusher quilt top. The pastel colors are so fitting for spring.

  432. Crystal North says:

I love Minnesota Homewarming and also Hidden treasures. I love stars in anything and both have stars. I also love patterns that make secondary patterns when put together. I will be making both of them.

  433. Kathleen Winsor says:

I love the Quiltmaker’s Garden. It shows how some applique can really add so much to a pieced quilt. The combination is really great.

  434. Nancy Sailor says:

My absolute favorite is “Chain Reaction” because it is unique and something different to make me step “outside the box.” In fact, I already have my fabrics selected (in shades of aqua and brown) and hope to cut it out this weekend!

I really like Hidden Treasure because stars are my all time favorite! and I love the interplay with the X’s and O’s. Great pattern!

Around the town would be great in just about all fabric categories, Batiks, 30′s, country, florals, etc.

That Minnesota Homewarming has beautiful colors and nice movement

  437. Jan Canyon says:

I love the Petal Path project. I have been wanting to do an applique project and this one is the right size. I love the red, white and blue version. Perfect for summer in any color combo however.

  438. Lisa says:

Chain Reaction reminds me of a quilt my niece would LOVE. I really appreciate the color options and the chance to win a lovely quilt top. Thank you!!

  439. Maryann M says:

I enjoy the Quiltmakers Garden. I love gardening as much as quilting. I look forward to seeing each new segment that will be added. I also like the Minnesota Homewarming because I am from MN and I love to sew with batiks. I have made and given away more then 10 large batik quilts to family in the past couple of years.

  440. Debra Gidel says:

I love the color options. Petal flowers is bright and cheery in both variations. It’s like getting the same quilt for different seasons. Very inspiring!

  441. Kathi Miller says:

Quiltmaker’s Garden is my favorite. I’m not a big fan of “the A-word” but this pattern has just enough applique that I would be willing to take it on.

  442. I love the Chain Reaction quilt. It looks so easy and fun and a great way to use up your stash! It could be done in a variety of colorways and even vary the design a bit. Thanks for all your great ideas!

  443. Tina Harvey says:

All of the quilts are beautiful!! I truly love this magazine every issue is fresh and different, and would be happy with any of the choices, petal pushers is made with nice happy spring fabrics that would be my choice, living in Michigan and can’t wait for spring!! PS>keep your magazine coming!!

  444. Barbara says:

Minnesota Homewarming…it is an easy choice Minnesota born and bred I am!

  445. Joyce Mitchell says:

My favorite is Around Town by Dawna Baker, because it uses traditional blocks, but has a modern feel, and it can be really scrappy, which I love. Thanks for the chance to win.

  446. Joan DeBruin says:

My favorite is Quiltmaker’s Garden as it combines so well both piecing and applique . In addition, it would challenge me to use a fair number of pastels and perhaps I wouldn’t be so “pastel challenged” by the time it was finished.

  447. Evelyn Croskey says:

I love the Diamond Fortune because it is TOTALLY different from any I have done. There are so many fabric possibilities going through my mind!!

  448. LINDA NEWMAN says:

My favorite would be the Minnesota Homewarming by Pat Speth. The colors and fabrics chosen are lovely.

I think the quiltmakers’s garden is my favorite. But the bunny patch is very cute too.

My favorite pattern is the Minnesota Hosewarming. I love all the star blocks and Minnesota is a neighbor state.

  452. Donna Myers says:

I love the Quiltmaker’s Garden. It has everything that I love – birds, butterflies, flowers, etc. All of your quilts are fantastic; I look forward to each new issue!

  453. Sharon says:

I always love Bonnie Hunter’s blocks, and Grandpa’s Star in no exception. I absolutely love Quiltmaker’s Garden from the cover, and definitely will be making that one. I think I like it because of the pastel colors, and I usually don’t work with such lights. I also saved out Calico Clockworks, but I don’t like either of the color options that are made up. Recoloring that one in Creative Spark is very interesting, especially the one in pinks that brings out the pinwheels. But I like the original design, so I think I have to pick fabrics I like to make it look like the original.

  454. Mary Mahan says:

I like Petal Path. I love the flowers. I really like the Petal Pusher fabric.

  455. Helen Thomas says:

My favorite is Chain Reaction. It looks very modern with these fabrics (which I love), but can look “manly” when made with darker scraps like what Scrap Squad member Cathy Buel did with her Chain Reaction. Plus, I LOVE that it looks complicated but really isn’t. This quilt is on my list to make!

  456. Carol M. says:

I love the Quiltmaker’s Garden. It brings back memories of the garden my Mother had planted all along the one side of the house in Massahusetts that I grew up in. I also like the Diamond Fortune too.

  457. kathleen siegrist says:

I love chain reaction,I love the look of a white background with color mixed in,looks so clean and fresh!

  458. Rae Craig says:

I really love the Chain Reaction project, because it is different & fun. But I also like the Petal Path because I’ve always wanted to try applique but haven’t advanced that far, yet! This may be the easy pattern for me to try. And giving another color option at the end is absolutely wonderful for those of us who can’t “visualize” another color palet in our heads. Thanks sew much. I truly enjoy this magazine.

  459. Hadassah Lerner says:

I am so addicted to quilts.. .I all the projects. BUT if I have to choose just one… Around the Town… the colors are some of my favorites… which I find very warm and inviting for a snuggle!
    Hadassah

I love the Qulitmaker’s garden. It has everything I love : a gazebo, flowers and birds. I also love that it is completed over a few months.

  462. Jo Anne West says:

Scrappy Quilters is making a patriotic quilt for the church, so the Memories of Provence really spoke to me…however, I am also intrigued with the colors and design of All Around Town.

  463. martha cook says:

Petal Pushers in Pink is just adorable. Not too hard to make, but bright and cheerful. Just right for when the world outdoors is gray and cold. I think it would be a wonderful way to highlight a pretty focus fabric as well as a chance to use up some small scraps for the flowers, leaves, and vines.

  464. sheree antheunisse says:

    I love them all!

  465. Madeline Watson says:

I like Minnesota House Warming the best. I am fairly new at quilting…1 1/2 years and thought I would like applique the best but I find piecing is my favorite thing and free motion quilting as well. I really like her colors and always think that is what I need to do but when I buy fabric it seems to be the pastels and soft calicos. Thanks for the opportunity to win a great quilt because they all are!

  466. Claudia says:

I am a more is more girl…everything but the kitchen sink suits me. Always love Bonnie hunter’s designs too. Grandpas star is a winner

  467. Jo Anne West says:

Hidden Treasures is a quilt I want to try someday. For some reason, I have been attracted to star designs…make four different ones for our patriotic quilt we’re making to hang in our church. Maybe because our dog is named Star?

  468. Louise Stromstedt says:

The quilt called quasar is really my very favorite in this issue, on the very last page. It is wonderful in both colour ways. Quasar is kind of like a kaliedoscope but really isn’t.

  469. jane says:

I like chain reaction and think I’ll use it for my next modern baby quilt!

  470. betty drake says:

I love all the quilts and reading about the people who make them. I dream of someday owning one.. I have been sewing for over 60 years and think nothing of making a Heirloom Christening dresses But, to cut and sew all those littles pieces of fabric, scares me so much, that I have only made a few simple quilts with squares and strips.

  471. Dee Segers says:

Inspiration is everywhere in your publication. I fell in love with Grandpa’s Star because it reminds me of a quilt my grandmother made in the 60′s with some of my Grandfather’s shirts, our outgrown clothing and fabric she had stashed in the attack.
I am finishing a baby quilt and then my next project will be made by cutting and repositioning the H block or 9 patch which piqued my interest in your last magazine. Thanks for sharing your ideas and expertise with us!

  472. Tiffani Irwin says:

I love Petal Path! The colors are wonderful and cheery! I’m a REALLY new quilter but now it’s all I can think about. It’s great to see professional designs and color choices. So many times what I think will look good does not! They all look professional and cozy but Petal Path jumped out and bit me.

  473. Janet Shotwell says:

I fell in love with Quiltmakers Garden. There’s so much potential there. I was planning to use the design as a springboard to possibly use up some orphan blocks.

  474. Sandra Leftwich says:

I love the Quiltmaker’s Garden the best. I can envision this quilt as a hanging quilt used as a headboard with a quilt of a plethora of flowers in every shape and color imaginable on the bed. I may try to make this quilt just for that very purpose. It is extraordinary.

  475. jbheaton says:

I love the Petal Pushers the best. It’s simple to piece for those of us who don’t have near as much time to piece/quilt as we would like, plus it has applique featured in it. Anything pieced with a touch of applique to me just dresses up a quilt. Plus, I love to applique! The colors will be so much fun to play around with on this one. Great way to showcase a favorite floral.

  476. Love the Around Town in the original colours. Beautiful.

  477. Patricia says:

Love the Quiltmakers Garden but what a great issue in general. I have just signed up and I am waiting for my hard copy to travel across the Pacific to Oz

  478. Susan says:

It’s a tie between Quiltmaker’s Garden and Minnesota Homewarming

  479. Pamela K says:

Wow, what a difficult choice but I do love the color options in Petal Pushers fabrics from Windham Fabrics. Plus applique is one of my favorite techniques. This would coordinate so well with my master bedroom. Love, love, love Quiltmaker.

  480. Julie A. says:

I love the petal patch, so cute. I am just getting into applique and it doesn’t look too hard. Thanks

I like the Petal Path as I love to applique and have lots of patience for this project.

  483. Cheri' says:

I’m also new to the quiltmaker but I bought this years first issue as not to miss the chance to make the “everything but the kitchen sink” quilt. It’s just perfect for spring. I’m so looking forward to the next issue hopefully my script is here by then, if no then off to the store I go to get the next one!

  484. Lynn Lebeck says:

I like the Petal path in red and blue. Although I am not crazy about appliqued work that one looks like something I could do!

  485. Diane C says:

I love the Quiltmaster’s Garden. My grandfather grew beautiful flowers and had gazebo’s and trellis’s all over the yard. He had 2 1/2 acres and Quiltmasters Garden makes me feel like I am looking out the window looking at his yard.

  486. Kathrine Neau says:

I liked ‘Everything but the kitchen sink”. It is so bright and cheery. It also gives me a way to use the many scraps I have accumulated – I just sorted through my scrap storage shelf and was amazed how much I had stuffed in there. Being short on storage I will be planning some scrap quilts this summer.

  487. Marcia Petty says:

My favorite patterns from this issue are Quiltmaker’s Garden and Chain Reaction. I plan to make both quilts!

  488. Patricia Lane says:

My favorite is the Diamond Fortune Quilt. I thought the original colorway was gorgeous, but I like the color option called Sparkling Gems even better, because you can use a stripe fabric for the center strip-pieced patch and simplify the sewing. I have to confess I am also a fan of pure color, as used in the Sparkling Gems colorway. The original colorway is more elegant, but I just love cheery colors!

  489. Margaret Harrington says:

I really like the Petal Pushers, it is cheerful and I love to do applique. I think the color options given with each pattern are what keeps me coming back year after year.

  490. Linda Hunt says:

It is extremely difficult to choose one favourite as they are all incredible but after much deliberation I have selected one. My favourite is the Minnesota Housewarming as it would be a perfect gift for newly weds or someone who just bought a new home.
I am always so inspired with your ideas. Now if I could just find the time to create more of them. Keep up the great work.

    Linda

  500. Barbara Byrd says:

I love the Quilter’s Garden the best. I am a bird watcher along with my quilting. I also like the fact that this pattern has three different types of sewing to make this quilt. I like to be challenged. Also love Bonnie’s scrap stuff.

  501. Terri Palmer says:

My favorite is Around Town…I like quilts that are very symmetrical (I think that is the word I would describe correctly) and clean cut lines. This is a pattern on my to do list…which means in the year 2025 I will get around to it!

  502. Pat V. says:

I just love Around the Town. I like the way traditional blocks are combined in a very compatible way. None of the blocks are that difficult in and of themselves, but the finished quilt looks somewhat complicated!

It’s nice to have such a variety to choose from.

Oh, my favorite from this issue has to be THE BUNNY PATCH for sure!! Being the proud Gramma of a darling little girl that turned 2 just 3 days ago, this is my next project for her with plans of having it done for Easter. uummmmm….yes, 6 weeks I should be able to have it completely finished and ready for her!! Totally love it and the colors. Thanks so much for this newest, neatest contest and keep up the great magazine!!

I love Petal Pushers, first because I grew up wearing petal pushers, second, my favorite colors are red and blue – just check out my dining room! All of the quilts are beautiful, but Minnesota Homewarming catches all the colors of our Minnesota home — the clear blue of the water, the green of the trees and grasses, and the golden browns from the Mississippi River bluffs where the eagles soar. These are the colors of our lake home in Frontenac, nestled in the river bluffs just north of Lake Pepin.

I am not usually a fan of row quilts but I do like the color option of Petal Path called Spring has Sprung. I like the applique work and the bright pinks and greens with orange. It would be perfect for my granddaughters! My second favorite in the issue is Minnesota Homewarming because of the central focus of the star and the symmetry of the entire piece. Very nice!

  534. Susan Dietrich says:

I love quilts, quilts, and more quilts. However, my favorite from the mentioned issue is Petal Path. I usually love pastels. Yet my favorite colors tend to be red, white, and blue – a patriotic gal here. The quilt is outstanding and very eye-catching in the red, white, and blue color scheme. Any of the quilts could find a great home here.

  535. I am really drawn to the dark variation of around town. But as a new quilter I would love to try my hand at the applique on petal Pushers, I really like the red and blue together!
Keep up the great work! Love the patterns!

  536. Gale says:

I love Chain Reaction as its a different way to make use of the thin scraps that seem to show up as I trim the edges of a quilt to get ready for bindings. Also great for binding left overs. I enjoy making your quilt designs and have made numerous of them in the last few years.

  537. Val says:

Chain Reaction – I could make that over and over again!

Any of them would be so taken care of by me. :)

I would choose either the minnesota homecoming or around the town. I am not a very experienced quilter and have nots done many quilts with alot of triangles. I can see minnesota homecoming as different shades of blues and greens and highlighted with a few darker colors like grey or dark brown. For the around the town I would like to try pastels alternated with bolder colors, like baby pink/red, etc row by row/ I think it might be fun!

“Quiltmaker’s Garden” is my favorite because it brings back memories of my mother and her yard full of flowers. She passed away on Thanksgiving 2011 at 95 and I think this would be a good quilt to make in her memory.

  664. Sue Corless says:

My first choice would be Quiltmaker’s Garden. I really like how such a unique design is put together with basic blocks. I also like Around Town in the alternate colorway. Thank you, Quiltmaker staff, for continuing to give us such nice patterns.

    Sue Corless

  665. Patti says:

For me, it’s a toss-up between Bunny Patch and Chain Reaction :-)

  666. Ruthie says:

I like Chain Reaction and plan to make it at our upcoming retreat.

  667. AAnnieC says:

I love the Calico Clothworks designed by Susie Ennis and made by Donna Benham. Fabric: The Pixie Pops by Katie Plitt for Timeless Treasures. I love the motion and the thoughts of summer picnics I can visualize when looking at it.

  668. Fran Wessel says:

I have to say, Petal Path by Kay Mackenzie from the fabric: Memories of Provence by Monique Dillard for Maywood Studio really blew me away. I was so impressed by the fabric, both sophicated and simple. The quilting is beautiful and is exactly the style I’m striving to learn.

  669. janita says:

around the town would be my favorite because it has a scrappy look to it and it says it is easy but it looks great in design. Lots to keep the eye interested. I would like to make this quilt. Janita

  670. I especially like the Grampa’s star block! I love getting something for nothing! Of course you can make the half square triangle just for the block but it’s neat they come from connector corners. Also I like that the sashing is in the middle of the block. Now that’s thinking INSIDE the block. lol

  671. Jennifer Adams says:

Such a difficult decision, but I have 2 favorites…(1) is around the town because of the scrappy look that I adore and (2) petal pushers because the vertical stems and flowrs remind me of my grandmother’s green thumb, always growing flowers. Both are gorgeous!

  672. Beverly Choat says:

My favorite is Petal Path, although I love them all! Would love to win any of them and would be proud to display them in my home. I also like the Around Town quilt. There are not any that I do not like!

  673. Donna Amos says:

I really like Chain Reaction, but I choose Around Town by Dawna Baker as my favorite because I really like traditional blocks like Churn Dash, Flying Geese, Puss in the Corner. This could be a great quilt in any colors combination of scrap quilting, which has become my favorite way to quilt.

  674. roseann says:

Hidden Treasures is my favorite because of the clean look and the creative use of the fabric.

  675. terry roberson says:

I love the Scrappy Quilt. It reminds me of the wife of the home making do. She uses all that she has to give her family the warm that is needed for the home. It also displays as a conversational quilt…… A baby’s gown, a piece of a daughter’s/grandmother’s wedding, or some other precious fabric that will trigger memories. What precious memories to have pieces of fabrics that symbols past quilts you make. It allows you to feel warm inside as you snuggle under your scrap quilt remembering the people and stories of quilts your made and lives your touched.

  676. Kitsy Smith says:

I love the Hidden Treasures quilt top. Blues and Greens are my favorite colors and so much white background really shows off the pattern. Actually, I like all of your quilts, but that one is my favorite.

My favorite quilt is the Quiltmaker’s Garden. You could not have chosen a more perfect quilt for the cover of this issue – I love everything about it!! From the softness of the color theme, to the smallest detail of the watering can, this quilt trly makes you yearn for springtime. Just a beautiful quilt!!

  678. Rosie Westerhold says:

LOVE all of the color options. If I won any of them, I would donate them to my guild’s ongoing charity project. These look like the perfect size. I adore scrap quilts, but, sometimes, it’s nice to only have several fabric quilts. My usual motto is the more fabric the better!

  679. Mary Dedrick says:

I love Hidden Treasures! The pieced border reminds me of jumbo rick-rack which I’ve never outgrown. I think it would be awesome in Christmas prints as well with the stars.

  680. Rhonda Kennedy says:

The Bunny Patch is my favorite. I have a two year old granddaughter and she already has three quilts from me so a cute holiday wall hanging only seems fitting. :)

  684. Tina Kreske says:

The quiltmakers garden is my favorite. It joins up my two favorite hobbies. I love to garden and sew. This quilt combines all of the different methods and I could not wait to start it. The day after I got the magizine I went out and brought the fabric to start it. The colors are so pretty and they remind me of my gardens. When I had my house I used to have 9 different gardens in my yard. I am fairly new to quilting, but I have been buying supplies and saving old clothes to use for quilts for years.

  690. Donna in Wisconsin says:

I would say my favorite project is the “Bunny Patch”. It is very cute and looks very easy to make. I plan on making the quilt for my 2 year old great granddaughter, in browns and off whites, the same colors of her pet rabbit. The reason I brought the March/April 12 issue was because of your two articles the “Chopping Block” and the “Get Your Geese in a Row”. I have a hard time making the flying geese block and this article will help me a lot.

  691. Kathy Mullin says:

I love Petal Path. It fun, quick, easy. And…you could work on it away from your machine. I like projects that I can take with me to do on a trip.

I really like the Calico Clockworks. There is SO much movement to this quilt pattern!! I clicked on the link to the different colorways. I am so excited to get this issue so I can start working on some new projects. This almost looks like an entirely different quilt when all you do is simply change the colors! I think that’s what makes this art so amazing. It’s a good pick for this issue because it reminds me of those spinning pinwheels that you stick in the yard when you are planting flowers with your Mom on the first days of Spring. It brings up a lot of good memories. That’s why I love to do quilting.

  695. Minnesota Homecoming is my favorite. I love stars and this would be a good stashbuster to make for Quilts of Valor for our Military Veterans! I also like the chain quilt among others.

  696. Grace Capuano says:

Around town in the above colors really swept me off my feet. It say’s classic home so elegantly so it just jumped to my attention. I don’t usually go for this type of classic pattern but this one is done just so, that I have to pick it. Sure hope I win it that would be so nice.

  720. Idonna says:

Such beautiful patterns it is hard to choose. I know, though, that my grand daughter would love Quiltmakers Garden as she is a beginning gardner. However, Minnesota Homewarming is the colors that I most love. Would really like to win a quilt top.

  721. M. Martens says:

I had a hard time deciding which would be my favorite. I really like Petal Pushers and Around Town. I am starting the cover quilt for now though. Sure would like to win one of the others. Thanks for the chance.
    Marilyn

  722. Elna Munro says:

I love the Quiltmakers Garden. The colours are beautiful and to me that is what a quilt is all about, interesting and lots of different aspects to look at. Really, really beautiful

  723. Chris says:

I like them all but Petal Path is appealing.

  724. Nancy Longley says:

I see I am #723 and while I did not read all the responses before me I would guess that Petal Path is the favorite…or is it the Petal Pusher fabric by Windym that grabs us all. As a younger person I NEVER would have chosen a pink and orange combination, but today it is so “now” and I love it!

  725. Judy L Farnsworth says:

It was a tough choice, but I would have to say my favorite is Quiltmaker’s Garden. It would go great with my country cottage theme in my guest room. The colors are so vibrant that it would make the whole room bright & cheery…perfect for putting the occupant in an instant happy mood. A great wy to start the day!

  726. Patty Moffitt says:

If someone else made it I would love the Petal Path. I am not an applique person, so would love to win one already made. But for piecing I liked the Around the Town.

I like Hidden Treasures, especially the colours!!

  739. Pat M says:

I love Calico Clockworks and the techniques used. Any fabric would work to make
    a great quilt.

  740. Terry Mathieu says:

I fell in love with the chain reaction pattern in the March/April issue. In fact I purchased some white, blue and purple material to make this quilt for my sister in law who is getting married in July. Those are her wedding colors. I plan to give her fabric pens, so she can have people sign the white areas of the quilt during her wedding reception. If I do win one of your quilt tops that would be a great top for me to long arm quilt and then send it to a missionary or a women’s shelter.

And I would also love to win one of your quilt tops. I have been thinking of making quilts for the local women’s shelter and this would give me a great headstart.

My favorite quilt is “Around the Town”. It has a scrappy look to it, and I love, love, love scrap quilts!

  747. Reeze says:

  751. Rita Hanegraaf says:

I like the one on the cover of the issue “Quiltmaker’s Garden”. It is something different with many challenges and comes together for a beautiful top for a daughter or granddaughter’s bed. I may hve to try it and use up some of my stash…..and oh ya….buy more fabric. I never need an excuse to “buy more fabric.” Love the magazine.

  752. Victoria M. says:

It’s hard to choose a favorite, they are all so great, but I’ll pick Hidden Treasures. I’d try making it in homespuns and earth tones. Thanks for having this contest.

  753. Janet says:

From the current issue I like the Bunny Patch quilt. I like to do small quilts to use as seasonal decorations for a throw on the back of my living room furniture. This one fits the bill for Spring and I have time to make it. I also like the option for the Calico Clothworks quilt.
    Thank you

  754. Ellen Pearce says:

While I love Petal Path because I love the color and appliqued flowers, my favorite is the Quiltmaker’s Garden. It fascinates me how the design within the design provides many interesting blocks to which my eyes are drawn. Then when you step back from the quilt, the beautiful overall design appears. It, also, appeals to me because I find it boring to make 30 of the same block.

  755. Karen O says:

Quilter’s Garden is wonderful! I would love to make a quilt like that someday – something that is not symetrical.

  756. Diane says:

I love Kay MacKenzie’s Petal Path! I love appliqué and piecing together and this has such pretty colors!

I like Around the Town because I like stars and it has just the right amount of stars and the dimensions are great.

  759. Linda Miller says:

I love Chain Reaction. I like the interlocking diamonds of different sizes. I REALLY liked the taupe color option. I’ve looked for something to showcase the taupe fabric lines that have been popular for awhile & this is the first one I’ve seen that I think really shows them off. Good job on this issue & all your issues. It’s my favorite magazine.

  760. Dan Saurino says:

I like the “Diamond Fortune” design as I think it is quite unusual, and should look different from various angles when covering the curves of a bed. In addition, the brown/beige colors are neutral enough to go with most bedroom motifs, yet the pattern allows for customization when matching the interior greens and yellows.

  761. Linda says:

I love anything scrappy so there are couple there, but I always love to see the addicted to scraps blocks. The anniversary quilt is beautiful…love it!
    Thanks for the giveaway

  762. Kathleen Henry says:

I love Petal Path, by Kay MacKenzie. It looks so like Spring, my favorite time of the year. The colors in your version are so light and gay, just makes me smile to see them. I can imagine them on my bed or as a wall hanging in my room. Love, Love, Love it!!!!

  763. Leta Wellman says:

My favorite from the magazine is “Minnesota Homewarming”, because I’m such a sucker for anything with stars. And since the medallion setting creates a star effect, that’s why I’d love to win the “Around the town” quilt. And the colors in this quilt are just a reminder that spring is on its way!! Thanks for the chance wot win!!

  764. Quilter’s Garden is my favorite project for this issue. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway!

  765. Joanie says:

It is difficult to choose one favorite project from the March/April issue! I settled on Minnesota Homewarming. I love the complex look of the quilt as well as the colors. Due to great instruction, I can see that the quilt will not be too difficult to attempt. I also love the colors and the stars in this quilt.
I ruled out the cover quilt, which I love, because it spans several issues so technically it is not just a March/April project. :0) I also loved Chain Reaction! The main reason I continue to subscribe to Quiltmaker is that there are almost always multiple quilts I want to make.
My favorite column is Carol Beams Design Studio! I have great fun trying her ideas and they always spark interesting projects!!!!!!!!!!!!

  766. Elaine Swatniki says:

I love the Quilter’s Garden. It incorporates the 2 techniques I love-paper piecing and applique. I also like asymetrical quilts. I love the magazine but out of all the great choices, Quilter’s garden is my favorite for March/April.

  767. Lori Brand says:

I think my favorite is Chain Reaction. I like the fact that easy piecing yields results that look so much more complicated. The colors used in the sample are pretty for this time of year and make me happy!

  768. Michelle M says:

This a great issue, I like many of the quilt patterns in this one. I really like the Chain reaction, Petal Path and Grandpa’s Star block patterns. But I think my favorite is the Around Town pattern. I’ve been collecting civil war reproduction fabrics and this would be a perfect pattern for displaying those.

  769. Lynn Patrick says:

I just like the whole 9 yards, the whole book, all the patterns are great and the colorways are good and the extra colorways help those of us that have a problem with the color sellections of fabric. The only problem I have is that some fabric manufactures do not produce enough bolts a certain fabric and the shops run out and we cannot get the fabric we see in the quilts for out own quilts ; then its hard to find one to match certain colors.

  770. Chyree Rohde-Lincoln says:

I love the Around the Town quilt done in 30′s fabrics. I’ve “rediscovered” them lately and have done several quilts with them. Our Country Crossroads Quilt Guild did a block exchange last year and it revived my interest.

  771. Connie says:

I really like the Petal Pushers pattern! Love your magazine!

  772. Vicki Moss says:

I love all the new projects but my favorite is Petal Path in the Petal Pushers fabric by Windham. This makes you want to gather a picnic and head for the park.

  773. Kathleen says:

I love the Petal Path. I love the look of applique, but when I have tried it, it never looks quite right. The Petal Path applique just pops out and looks beautiful. Keep up the good work with your magazine. It’s one of the beast.

  774. Ruth B says:

Petal Path! I love applique and this quilt just makes me happy. It is that simple.

  775. Bessie says:

I love the Bunny Patch. I am a beginning quilter and I think that I can handle this one. I just found out that I am going to be great aunt to 5 new babies this year so I had better get quilting.

  776. Michelle Costen says:

All the quilts are lovely but the Petal Path quilt is my choice quilt.
When I look at the Petal Path quilt it reflects back to me the sense of joy I feel within.
It reminds me that each step we take in life offers us another oportunity to flourish, bloom and flower. The Petal Path quilt also gives a genuine message that life does not have to be complicated or complex to be the wondorous delight and beauty that it is.

  777. PatchworkCarole says:

My favorite is the ‘Hidden Treasure,” because of the crisp contrast between the white and the blues. However, I also love “Calico Clockworks” and “Around the Town” – the original colors! You won’t be surprised that I have MANY kits and collections of colors in my queue because I can’t choose JUST ONE!

  778. Bethany says:

I too enjoyed the whole magazine, as always, but I really like Grandpa’s Star. I love scrap quilts and all the variety of them!! Generally they are one of a kind quilts.

  779. Dee Weston says:

The Around the Town block is a very cheerful block, in many of the favorite colors I like to use. And, of course, the stars are another favorite theme. Would love to make this block, will have to try.

  780. Dorothy says:

I like the Petal Path. This lifts my spirits and makes me feel good.

  781. Rita Traxler says:

I love the way you always show the quilts in a second colorway. It is so inspiring. That is one of the reasons I love taking a class where everyone is making the same quilt top but out of different fabrics the quilts all look so different.
The enjoy all the quilts but the garden quilt is so whimsy and happy it’s my favorite for this issue.

  782. PattyC says:

I love Hidden treasure – The Stars are just beautiful. I enjoy seeing hidden stars when looking at different views & I love the colors !!!

  783. Cheryl L. says:

I really like the Chain Reaction quilt, and I’m considering making this one. The fabric choices are perfect for Spring, and would look great in my guest bedroom.

  784. Elaine says:

I love them all but love Around the Town and Petal Play. I love the reproduction fabrics used in Around the Town. I am an avid Appliquer and am always drawn to applique. I would be proud to own either. Thanks for doing a give away for these quilts. What an opportunity.

  785. Diann Jones says:

My favorite is Chain Reaction. I like unusal looking quilts and this one sparks my imagination.

  786. Rita says:

Petal Path is my favorite. I love applique and this is simple and easy to adjust to different colors.

  787. ritainalaska says:

petal path is my very favorite pattern from the march isssue, for it’s applique panels. the applique is gorgeous, yet simple and easy to do. i would love this top!

  788. Roberta B says:

I am leaning towards Grandpa’s Star as a quilt that I will probably do. What an inspiration to use all the half-square triangles that I have been collecting for years. I really like the design.

  789. deb Cornett says:

Favorite is Petal Path using Provence fabrics, I love appliqué but have not mastered the technique. (I need to retire so I can quilt MORE!) Secondly, the Calico Clothworks in the Covenent Gardens fabrics is well done and the colors suit me. However, the Around the Town pattern is striking in both color ways, either way these will be absolutely beautiful hand quilted.

  790. Brenda Dolha says:

I just love the Petal Path in the Petal Pushers fabrics! Such lovely colours for spring! (Besides, the original looks like a patriotic American version- and I am Canadian!)

  791. RJ says:

Quiltmakers’s Garden is my favorite. So bright and cheery.

  792. BarbR says:

My favorite design is Kay Mackenzie’s Petal Path. I love the applique. The colors in the magazine are wonderful but I can see how it could be beautiful in several colorways. This is a project I’d love to be doing in my sewing room. =!=

  793. Carol Ann Singleton says:

I love the Petal Path. It is very beautiful. The colors are awesome, lots of different possiblities.

  794. Victoria Lawhorne says:

I think my favorite is QUiltmakers Garden. You can almost smell the flowers growing up the gazebo. I really liked the petal path too. Can see lots of possibilities and variations. Can’t wait for the retreat in Williamsburg

  795. Ann Georges says:

I love the Calico Clockworks! It is remarkable the way the pattern changes with different colors. I really like this feature of your magazine.

  796. Marian Rose says:

Around the town because I love geometrics!

  797. Nancy Bradford says:

I love Around the Town. I like using classic quilt blocks with the fabrics and creating an updated classic quilt. I am always drawn to quilts made from classic blocks.

  798. Patricia Jencks says:

Oh my! My personal favorite, (by far!!!) is “Around the Town” in the “Everything but the Kitchen Sink” by RJR fabrics, colorway. I admit it; I’m a bit different. I’m more traditional in my choice of quilts, but love the more contemporary lines of fabric. So I am quite intrigued by this mostly traditional looking pattern that has been updated with those fabulously modernized prints! I love this fabric collection and this particular pattern. I’m seriously considering buying a subscription to your magazine and seeing about making this quilt for myself. (I think my new DDIL might even like the it – I promised her one for their wedding!)
Thanks for touching/combining both of my seemingly disparate desires into one beautiful quilt.

  799. Debbra M says:

I just love the Minnesota Homewarming. It gives more than one block designs. Each time I look at it I see another block.

  800. I love the Quiltmaker’s Garden. It is so bright and joyful and speaks of spring!
I love to quilt and enjoy gardening when I have time.
    RAH

  801. Kylie C says:

I love chain reaction! I’ve been looking for a simple quilt to make up for my newest nephew and this jumped out at my immediately. I’m planning on piecing it in blues and greens with Kona Snow as the background.

  802. Dee Johnson says:

Around the town in civil wars is ery appealing, but loving the Petal Path.

  803. Nita says:

I love the Quiltmaker’s Garden cover quilt for its beckoning to spring–it really brightens up a wintery day. Would love to receive any of the tops! Chain Reaction looks like a fun thing to do with the TONS of scraps I’m still saving and adding to. As always, there are several quilts in the issue that call out to be made. So much fun, so little time…

  804. Linda Jones says:

My favorite is Diamond Fortune. It’s very different and I love paper-piecing. Hidden Treasures and Chain Reaction were next on my list. The whole magazine was very interesting this month.

  805. Regina Harris says:

Quiltmaker Garden is my favorite as it reminds me that spring is just around the corner and I love a variety of colors.

  806. Billie K says:

Petal pushers in Memories of Provence.

  807. Barbara says:

I like Pedal Pushers . It is bright and cheerful, just the thing to fight off the winter blues. A great project for these drab days.

  808. Donna says:

I love Around the Town. That has such design and different shapes and the colors in this is so beautiful.

  809. Sharon Bailey says:

When I saw “Quiltmaker’s Garden” on the cover, I knew immediately that you had used some block designs from the last 30 years, because I have been a subscriber since the second issue (I missed the first one but looked for it for years). I loved looking at the blocks in “Quiltmaker’s Garden” and remember seeing them in older magazines. I linger over every issue when it arrives, and sometimes go back and look at copies of the older ones, too, and try to adapt them to today’s rotary cutting techniques. I have made so many quilts from designs in QM, and this quilt will be one of them, too.

  810. Marlene Shobert says:

    Quiltmakers Garden

  811. Kathy Pennell says:

I never met a quilt I didn’t like, but I especially like the Petal Pushers by Kay. It is so cheery on this dull day.

  812. Teri says:

Calico Clothworks (in Covent Garden fabrics) is my favorite. The color palette is nice and I love the movement.

  813. Rose may Daley says:

My vote is everything but the kitchen sink. I’m a huge fan of any fabric that is or looks like vintage. If I were to win this quilt I wouldn’t have to go through my stash and pick fabric. LOL Love the quilt!!

  814. Jennifer P says:

My fave is the Minnesota Home Warming. I love the colors, the big pieces and the traditional pattern done up in more modern batik. It would go perfect in my house without even painting any rooms!

  815. Kathryn Sabel says:

My favorite is Petal Pushers by Kay. It makes you smile just looking at it and I long for spring to come with my kaleidoscope of color tulips bring me!

  816. KRISTY EVANS says:

Chain Reaction would be my favorite. Thanks for the great quilting magazine!

  817. My favorite is the quilt on the cover. I am not sure if it is the color choice or the design that is calling my name but this quilt is definitely on my “to do” list. I love the combination of pieced blocks, paper piecing and applique. It would be the perfect quilt for me to make because it would allow me to stay in my comfort zone with piecing and to step out of the box with paper piecing and applique. In my opinion, this is the best cover quilt in many issues.

  818. Rori says:

Too many favorites but if I had to choose just one, it would be…Around Town. I like the block designs used in this quilt and how it looks equally fabulous in both color ways ( particularly the Color Option!!!-I love vintage fabrics)

I also have to mention the “Patch” series. It is so wonderful. My sister & I made Beary Patch for the first child of a neighbor near our father that really helps him out. We made it from reproduction prints. I will submit a photo of it. It came out beautifully!

  819. Quiltmaker’s Garden series is my favorite, it uses a variety of blocks, it looks challenging, it’s colourful, showy and will be interesting to quilt on my long arm. I would love to win any quilt tops; I will quilt them to provide warmth and love to the hundreds of families who lost their homes and all their belongings to a wild fire in Northern Alberta last summer.

  820. Love the “Around the Town” original pattern…love it. All those earthy colors….just warm, earthy, and welcoming….

  821. Mary Stephens says:

My favorite would be Petal Pushers, when my magazine come in the mail I started putting my pinks and purples together to start this quilt for my grand daughter, she is so into pink that she would like nothing better than this pretty quilt.

  822. Susan Van Meter says:

I just love the whole magazine, but if I had to chose it would be the quilt ” Around Town”. It would make a good scrapy quilt. Also “Petal Path” in pastels caught my granddaughters eye, so it’s on my list to make. Thanks for a great magazine.

  823. Carol Hydeman says:

I love all of these tops. I gifted myself with a Handi Quilter Sweet 16 so I’m practicing and will be ready to finish one of these should I be so lucky as to win!

  824. Kathy from Tucson says:

I love the Quiltmakers Garden as it is already Spring here!

  825. Kathy Martus says:

I love all of the quilts, but I think that my two favorites are “chain reaction” because of the use of fabrics and the way it “flows” and “pedal path” in the fabric option, petal pushers. This quilt reminds me of the “flower power” of the 60′s and 70′s. It also gives me inspiration to try more applique, which I always seem to shy away from.

  826. Brenda Hulsey says:

I adore all of then but if I had to choose one then it would be Quilt maker’s garden.

  827. Marianne from Western Australia says:

Petal Path is my favorite. It fits the Country theme I am decorating my home in.

I’m sew in love with Quiltmaker’s Garden! Thanks for the chance to win one of your beautiful quilt tops!!

  835. Kim says:

I had to run out to buy this issue – before I even knew that I could win a quilt top – because it has my friend, Kay Mackenzie’s Petal Path pattern in it. I would love to win this in the Petal Pusher colour way, so please enter me in the draw to win this one. It’s my favourite in the issue. Thanks!

  836. E. Engman says:

Petal Path–I love this type of strip quilt with the applique flowers. Both colorways are charming. Lots of potential.

    LizE

  838. lucia says:

I love the Everything but the kitchen sink quilt top. I love everything about it…the colors, the patterns. It just speaks to me…how beautiful!

  839. Sandra Arendsen says:

I just love Minnesota Homewarming I love Pat Speth’s beautiful designs that come from simple piecing. It is stunning in the batiks but you could make it work with Christmas fabrics as well.

  840. Susan says:

I LOVE the Petal Path quilt! I have always loved quilts that have both applique and piecing but my true reason for voting this my favorite quilt is plain and simple. It’s got CLASS!

  841. Jennifer J says:

I love Petal Path. I am all about flowers and springtime, and this quilt makes me happy just to look at it.

  842. Denise S. says:

I am redoing my bedroom completely, redoing the walls, painting the furniturem redoing the chairs and all of it is inspired byQuiltmaker’s Garden. It is breath taking. Every where you look there is another treat to look at. It is soothing and wonderful. I am going to make this so I have my own little hide a way from all of my life’s happenings. I also loved the Jogger story, just think a great story to inspire me in other aspects of my life. Chopped saved me when I found myself in a little procrastination pickle. I am in a BOM swap and had brain freeze, I didn’t have alot of time to make a block and needed to get one in the mail ASAP. I came across chapped, whipped up a block in no time, loved it so much I made 3 more the next afternoon. Thank you for the Magazine, always a pleasure.

  843. Sue says:

I am new to this web thing and quilting. I really am excited to learn to quilt. I love the chain reaction and all the colors.

  844. I flagged a few things in this issue: the Chopping Block, Chain Reaction, and because I love paper piecing, Diamond Fortune would have to be my favorite!

  845. Lyn says:

My favorite is Quiltmaker’s Garden because it combines two hobbies I enjoy– gardening and quilting! Also, the different flower motifs can be used to make pillows in different shapes and sizes.

I love your magazine. My favorite from this Mar/Apr issue was Chair Reaction. It looks so hard but I can tell the directions make is come out easily. What a great pattern. I can also use it for some scraps I have been saving up. I have 4 quilts to make for Spring and this one will be one of them. Thanks again.
P.S. I always love the scraps articles. I have so many scraps in my closet. Thanks.

  848. Mary Thoma says:

I like the chain reaction. I find the colors appealing and the design interesting.

  849. I really like Petal Path. I love flowers and I am really looking forward to spring. I would like to make one for one of my nieces. Thank you for such a great giveaway. I would love to win one.

  850. Joyce Baki says:

My favorite project is Diamond Fortune for two reasons. I love paper piecing and the pattern reminds me of a kaleidoscope. I have already printed 36 pattern pieces. Friday I visited one of my favorite quilt shops and picked up several Batiks. I can’t wait to start working on it this weekend!

  851. My favorite project is Petal Path, I am a new quilter and I was gifted some wonderful border prints and large print fabrics that I have been wanting to find a way to use. I just took an applique’ class last month and have been looking for a new project to use my new found skills. So this one project fills the bill for both areas.

  852. Dwana Zahn says:

Love the quilters garden quilt, it combines my two loves.

  853. Janis says:

I like seeing all of the quilts in two colorways. It shows me how different each would look in another color group, and encourage us to do them in different fabrics too. We learn that not just one color group will work with a quilt.
I’m not partial to strips, but really like Petal Path made in the Memories of Providence colors, but know that my granddaughters would like the Petal Pushers color way the best as they love pastels. I could see doing this quilt in three different main colors. One of the twins loves pink, and the other is all about purple. Their older sister gave up on pink when one of the twins said she likes it, so hers would be in the blue family, maybe in the aqua side of blue. I love to do applique, so this quilt really speaks to me.

  854. Isabel McGowan says:

Love the cover quilt. Can’t wait to get the magazine!

  855. PJ Simonds says:

I would have to say Quilter’s Garden! What’s not to love it’s gardening and quilting! It’s beautiful and it makes you smile.

  856. Lynn Telke says:

There are four quilts in this issue I like and will add to my list – Around Town,
Chain Reaction, Petal Path, and Quiltmaker’s Garden. To pick my favorite it
would be Quiltmaker’s Garden because I have subcribed to Quiltmaker from
the very beginning and I believe I have every issue in my magazine library.
I remember when you used parts of this quilt in past quilts like the birds, and all the various flower blocks. Thank you for 30 wonderful years of quilt ideas and instructions.

  857. BA Rickman says:

I really love them all , but I’m a Kay Mackinsey fan ,and I love this quilt.

  858. Elaine Davis says:

i like the petal project because it reminds me of spring and all the flowers and birds that come back after a winter’s nap

  859. Robin Abraham says:

They are all beautiful. I have never seen a quilt that I didn’t like.

  861. Karen O' says:

  864. Ruth Jones says:

    Giveaway…OMGoss!!!! I like them all!

  865. Ruth Jones says:

Whoops hit the button too soon. My favorite is the” petal pushers” in the pink but again I like them all

  866. JackieReilly says:

I have to say petal pushers! I have three daughters and we all love anything pink and lime green! My poor husband is totally out numbered! I like how the applique flowers pull out the flowers in the fabric.

  867. Deborah Law says:

It’s so hard to pick a favorite…but I think the Petal Pushers will be my choice. I am sooo looking forward to spring and this brings a bit inside. The weather keeps teasing us going back and forth from warm, sunny days to cold, rainy and windy. Fabric doesn’t do that, it lets us keep our mood however we want it! Sunny fabrics and flowers, here I come!

  868. I love the cover project. It’s easily broken into BOM size portions, and I always like a project with different blocks so that I can do it as my own personal BOM.

  869. Debi in Montana says:

I really love the petal path. After a long winter, I am so ready for spring.

  870. Lynn Hahn says:

I love the Petal Push quilt. Especially since spring is right around the corner!

  871. Denise Matthieu says:

I appreciate Minnesota Homewarming by Pat Speth. I’m drawn to the all-over pattern and the color contrast. I’m new to quilting and am just learning what I like for myself – I like this one.

  872. Lynn D says:

    Hi
Took awhile to get the pictures to come up of the quilts.
Like the Hidden Treasure, stars and waves. but mostly like the Petal Path
by Kay. Made me want to go out and plant a garden and walk in one.(will go out now to look for Monarchs). and I would normally never pick that fabric as like brighter, but
it is very nice and grounding . Thank you for the learning .
Diamond Fortune might like in teal, purple and blues.
    Thanks
    Lynn D

  873. Candace Gregory says:

I like calico clockworks in convent garden fabrics because blue and white are my favorite quilt color combination. I have been working on a blue and white star quilt for several years. The red in the clockworks quilt is a nice touch.

  874. Kellie Verts says:

I Love Around the Town but right now I have some wonderful teal & white zebra print fabric from Henry Glass called OuLaLa I think and I can’t wait to use it in a quilt for my Grandaughter using my favorite for the month “Petal Path” with the companion fabrics it will be SOOOOO cute.
Thanks so much for the amazing work you do – Quiltmaker is TOPS!

  875. Sherry Fox says:

I LOVE the pedal path with the windham bright fabrics. Love those colors and they make me think of the upcoming spring happy colors

  876. Sue Foster says:

I enjoy using scraps and I found the Chain Reaction pattern a great home for those “special” fabrics that needed to have “friends”. I have already cut the strips, just need to get the background cut. There were several other quilts in this months magazine that I hope to get made. I look forward to every issue of your magazine.

  877. SusanD1408 says:

I love the petal path, so pretty and lovely.

  878. Lisa Ellis says:

The March/April issue was my very first issue of Quiltmaker. I thoroughly enjoyed paging through all the various quilt patterns and I love the color options which really helped me imagine a lot of possibilites. But my very favorite quilt was the Quiltmaker’s Garden. This quilt made me feel like I was in a beautiful English garden. A gazebo covered in flowers has always been something I’ve wanted to build in my own yard and this quilt actually looks alot like the one in my imagination. I’m pretty sure having this inside the house will be easier than building it outside. I’m thoroughly enjoying this magazine and can hardly wait to try my hand at some new patterns.

  879. Jackie Nelson says:

    I love Petal Path.

  880. Polly Hada says:

LOVE Petal Path and Kay MacKenzie, but my favorite would have to be Chain Reaction simply because my daughter and daughters-in-law prefer more modern quilts and Chain Reaction would be perfect for one of them. Thank you for your wonderful magazine and the opportunity to win a quilt.

  881. Jean says:

I have recently retired and am enjoying spending extra time quilting. I love making quilts for my grandchildren and I am anxious to try Bunny Patch.

  882. Denise Cheke says:

I have to say that one of my favorite patterns (although I like them all) is Around the Town. There’s just something about stars that make my heart sing! I’m eager to give it a try. Thanks for entering my name to win a quilt top!

  883. Katy (LethargicLass) says:

I would have to say the different size paper piece geese as I am just starting to fall in love with paper piecing :)

  884. Anne C. says:

Hidden Treasures is definitely my favorite in the issue. The zigzag inner border and the checkerboard outer border add interest, and I love star designs, too. I also like designs that seem to morph according to the particular block one focuses on. Such a beautiful quilt.

  885. Margie Kay Calamusa says:

I like the Quiltmaker’s Garden because it is so soothing to think of being outside in the warm air quilting. Oh my, what could be better unless you had someone to quilt with you. I am pretty much still a “Topmaker” but I have started putting some stitches in our guild quilt. I get so many quilting magazines and I love almost all of them.

  886. Lyn Fitzsimons says:

My favourite project is Petal Path because I love applique and also because this quilt lends itself to bright, summery colours. What could be better!

  887. Marjorie Poffenberger says:

I loved the quilt Petal Path! I am looking forward to spring so much. I love the applicques of flowers.

  888. Gail Tucker says:

Love the ‘controlled’ scrappy colouring in the Minnesota Homewarming. Lots of cool blues/violets/green with the warmth of golden accents. And I just love batiks of all sorts and will aim for a similar colour palette when I do it.

  889. Penny Lynn says:

Have to go with Petal Path, I am going to try to do one of them, would love to win it, of course, who would not? I love Quiltmaker Magazine…

I really like the colors in Hidden Treasure. So that is my favorite one from the magazine. my second favorite is Minnesota Homewarming- love batiks.

  891. Sherryl says:

Bunny Patch is just too cute!!! I mostly make baby quilts which I give to friends and family when a new addition to their family is expected. Think Bunny Patch would be perfect for a little one to treasure.

  892. Lee Ann L. says:

I love the Around Town. I always loved Stars of any variation. Thank you for a chance to win.

  893. Ruth Ann says:

First of all I opened my magazine today! Love it!! My favorite item (if I have to pick just one) is CHAIN REACTION!! I am getting ready to do a lap quilt for a very dear friend who is donating a kidney to her husband and what an appropriate name!! I have started it this evening with paper piecing but am not very exprienced. I checked out the squad but could not find any info of any of them paperpiecing…..left a comment on one of their blogs so am anxiously waiting for a reply. Hate to switch to piecing now as I already have my pattern sheets printed!?!?! DID I say I TRULY LOVE THIS SITE!!!! Back to sewing!!

  894. Pamela Reim says:

I am very fond of the Around the Town quilt. while I am not that much of a traditionalist, I liked the way the classic blocks came together differently with different fabrics.

  895. toni-anne says:

Petal Pushers has pushed my joy button! It reminds me of spring and the renewal and bursting forth of new life that takes place. A quilt like this could light up heavy hearts.

  896. Rita says:

I usually don’t like the row quilts but I love the Petal Path because of the the applique dressed it up so much and could be very fun to make for our 2 granddaughters. I love the petal pusher quilt in both color and was thinking of our 2 granddaughters when I saw it in the pink shade and I could add a ladybug or butterfly as well. Gave me the idea of make a purple one and a pink one for our girls for their Christmas. I love the original quilt of Around the Town in it’s Southwest colors and how rich it looks but the second one made like it, lost it appeal to me with the color change that was made to it. To my eye the Around the Town has wonderful possibilities in darker color tones only since it has first glance it has the S.W. look. So I have to say to me the Petal Path is my favorite because it works well in all color tones and has lot of different possibilities.

  897. Ann Magwood says:

Chain reaction has an interesting appeal to me as I see it as a board game, snakes & ladders. The colors used have a swirl in a darker color, that remind me of the snakes on the game board. Some of the prints give you the impression of the ladders in the game. The colors give you that spring feeling that make you want to get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

  898. Annaleena says:

My favorite is Minnesota homewarming quilt. I have always wanted to try that several stars block.

  899. Carla G says:

My favorite is Chain Reaction! I’ve never seen this pattern before and just love how it looks like X’s and O’s. Very cool quilt! :)

  900. SewLindaAnn says:

That’s a tough question. I LOVE the series of Patch Pals, really love them. They’re all appealing and fun. Being a avid gardener, I am attracted to the garden theme and chain reaction appeals to my clean, fresh modern thoughts. I like the others, but these 3 are my faves.

  901. Suzanne Diefenbach says:

They are all so beautiful but as my favorite I’d choose “Petal Path”. I just love the colors, the fabric used and of course the applique flowers! I hope that someday I will be such an accomplished quilter.

  902. Karen B says:

This issue has really put me in the mood for spring. I love the color choices. Sometimes I get a ‘block’ in trying new colors and fabrics, but I am inspired to get out of my box and try something new. I learn something new from every issue. Thanks.

  903. Diana says:

It’s Quiltmaker’s Garden for me. I love the applique and the soft, pastel colors! Great for spring and Easter!

I love the “Chain Reaction” quilt & would enjoy making i.

I am so tired of winter and snow and just need the Quiltmakers garden – perfect- I feel better already.

  908. Karen Markin says:

I love the Covert Garden by Berntex fabrics. The color red seems to just pop out at you.

  909. Linda Wong says:

There were many quilt patterns that had appealed to me but if I had to choose one to start with, it would have to be the Quilter’s Garden. Welcome Spring after a long winter just feels right!!

  910. Vicky Morrow says:

I love the Calico Clockworks pattern. I can’t wait until I can start playing with color placement and values. If I’m right, there is a completely different look hidden in it. I love your patterns, and have made several of them for gifts.

  911. Joyce Long says:

I love the bunny Patch. I think its adorable and I am going to make this for my neice’s next baby. (Planning ahead)

  912. Sharon Sprague says:

I really like the Petal Path quilt (Petal Pushers alternate color also) because it brings back some really great memories of a trip my daughter and I made through France after her college graduation — and to think she asked me to go along ! I would like to make this for her as a “memory” of a wonderful trip together.

  913. Beth R says:

I love the Quiltmaker’s Garden. The colors are lovely, and the design would brighten any winter day!

  914. Tamara Heptinstall says:

Oh I so love them all!! I have to say though, were I granted a Quilty Wish should a tiny fairy pop from my golden thimble, the quilt I would choose would be the Quilter’s Garden. An immense amount of peace and contentment could be found loosing oneself in such a beautiful little “quiltscape.” I have come to love combining a variety of sewing and piecing techniques in one project. Surely, to work on this quilt one would feel like a butterfly flitting from one beautiful section to the next. Happy Spring Everybody!

  915. Gina Williams says:

I’m looking forward to regular additions to the Quilter’s Garden quilt. It’s always interesting to see new twists on old patterns, creating an all new look!

  916. Lynn says:

What a hard decision as I love them all. Hidden Treasure is probably my favorite followed by Around the Town but they all would be wonderful to win.

  917. Julie W says:

My favorite project from Quiltmaker #144 is Around The Town. I love that the quilt looks so complex, but an easy difficulty quilt.

  918. Lynn says:

I love Quiltmaker’s Garden because it reminds me of spring and the flowers that will soon be blooming everywhere.

I like chain reaction. I like things that look compicated but the actual construction is not. It is also very versatile for different color ways and fabric collections.

  925. Jackie Wisherd says:

I enjoyed reading about the QM’s history in this anniversary issue. I also liked the Quiltmaker’s Garden pattern…it is very creative…a stray from the usual blocks used to put together a quilt.

I really like the Calico Clothworks in the Convent Garden. However, I love the Petal Pushers in the Petal Path color option! I love the bright spring colors, they just seem to pop off the screen!

  927. Janice Amrani says:

I like Petal Pushers best because it combines the simplicity of the old strippy quilts (and the great opportunities they give for fine quilting) with the graceful, undulating blooming vines.

  928. Janice Amrani says:

Oops! I meant “Petal Path,” not “Petal Pushers,” in the above post.

I was struck by the simplicity of Flowers from Provence and am considering making it a bit bigger and using it for a charity quilt for kids who have cancer that we send quilts to at their camp! Would love to have the little top for me to look at and love!

I just renewed my Quiltmaker subscription today. I don’t think I will get the current issue in the mail. After viewing the contents and patterns online, I will have to go and purchase this issue! I love paper piecing. I like the Quiltmaker’s Garden pattern. I like the small flowers that remind me of the Petite Jardine pieced design. Last summer I made the Over By The Pond pattern from a Quiltmaker back issue since I love frogs! I am starting a new quilt for my husband. It is the Finish Line pattern he picked from the May/June 2000 issue.

  936. Marsha says:

I love the Quiltmakers Garden. It reminds me of my mother in her flower gardens when she was younger and watching the birds. She’s 82 now and doesn’t get into the garden anymore but can still watch her birds.
