If you’ve never been on a blog tour, you may be wondering what all the fuss is about. Since Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Blog Tour is next week, Nov. 7 to 11, this seems like a good time to explain how it works.
Volume 4 of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks goes on sale Nov. 15, and the blog tour is to expose you to all the fun aspects of this issue as the time draws near. Sometimes these events are called blog “hops,” which is more descriptive of what actually happens.
Each day we’ll share a post featuring links to several designers’ blogs from 100 Blocks, and you can hop from one blog to another. Each designer will share a little something about her or his design: what inspired it, how to use it or ways to vary it. Each blog will have a giveaway of the issue so you’ll have many, many chances to win!
Each day’s featured sponsor has contributed something for that day’s bundle of prizes. (You’ll want to visit their websites for more giveaway opportunities.) Each of three daily prize bundles will include a copy of 100 Blocks, a much-coveted 100 blocks mug and more.
You’ll get sneak previews of some of the blocks each day. This always gets the creative juices flowing!
The blog tour is loads of fun. Plan to spend a little time on it each day if you can, but if you can’t, the posts will remain up for you to enjoy. At the end, I guarantee your head will be spinning with quilty ideas, and what could be better than that?!
