It’s been a busy few days! I left last Thursday for Quilt Market, the wholesale trade show sponsored by Quilts, Inc., in Salt Lake City. There were over 1000 booths with fabric manufacturers, pattern designers, notions companies and more. It’s where we go to see what’s new. June, Eileen and I attended this spring, each of us with a different agenda. June spent most of her time in meetings with fabric companies and book publishers. Eileen focused on all the notions companies, and I met mainly with pattern designers. Talk about brain overload!
Thursday night was Sample Spree, or what I like to refer to as the buying frenzy! Different companies set up tables with their products, selling items at reduced costs. The lines to get in start forming hours before the doors open. And when the doors open, watch out! We were able to get in a few minutes early to take some pictures. Many of our 100 Blocks designers had tables at Sample Spree.
And then the doors opened. I’ll apologize now for the blurriness of some of the photos. People came running in and it was hard to focus!!
Whew! It was a madhouse. But the stores found lots of good deals to bring home for their customers!
Come back tomorrow, and I’ll share pictures from Salt Lake City and some of the designers I talked to on the show floor.

LOVE to see the excitement! I’ll be running back here tomorrow to see what else you are sharing!
It would have been FUN!
Thanks for sharing with us
Sounds like it was fun, Carolyn! Thanks for the pictures!
