It’s been a fun 3 days of blog tour. With so many amazing talents and wonderful inspirations, I don’t want it to end. I love “Magic Squares” from today’s feature designs. It has that “modern” look with the use of grey fabric.
p.s. I guess it’s still 2 a.m. somewhere in blog land, so not many of the websites are updated.

As a fan of Sharon Pederson I visited her blog straight away. Like her Rose of Sharon block, as well as How Tweet it is from earlier in the week. Bonnie Hunter’s block/project prompts instant (must use scraps) desire to begin new quilt right away
How do we choose one from all the beautiful workmanship displayed so far, they are unique and special creations that display the quilter’s passion for his or her craft and each one deserves appreciation in their turn. One block that took my eye attention today was Eileen Fowler’s Sunblock. It is dynamic and has a great story too.
What fun to see so many beautiful designs. My favorite block is Happy by Me and My Sister; love their fabrics.

I’ve liked so many of the blocks — I can’t wait to get the magazine so I will have them all together so I can start trying them. One block that has stuck in my head is the one by Vickie of Spun Sugar Quilts that was on yesterday’s blog tour. Lovely!
So many beautiful choices! I’m a big Bonnie Hunter fan, and am finding some great new (to me at least) designers here. I like the Magic Square shown here, must check out Konda Luckau’s work!

I really am enjoying all of them, but I like the Magic squares really neat especially with the fabrics used, I also really like the Commencement Block by Jennifer Chiaverini. Thanks for the chance.

Good morning. Since it finally is not raining today I must admit the Sunblock made me smile. My heart however is in the scrappy mode along with Bonnie Hunter. Thanks for a great website and magazine.
There were a lot of very pretty blocks again. My favorite was the sunblock and the SHaron’s rose.

I really love the block Winston Ways by Bonnie Hunter. I am just a fan of scrappy looks, but Lynette Andersons block is also one of my favourite beause after scrappy I love applique. Thanks again for another great tourday!
I love Eileen’s Sunblock and I’m a big fan of Bonnie Hunter and her Winston Ways is a great scrappy block. However, Scott Henson’s block, which didn’t impress me by itself on the Quiltmaker site, blew me away in the quilt on the blue nickel site. I don’t have the kind of vision to see that kind of potential. I’m glad someone does.
Just sticking with the blocks from today (and even that makes it hard to choose), I guess the “stunner” for me is Sunblock. But pretty much every block generates an idea or “what if” for me. This issue is really going to be a good one!
I am really enjoying the blog tour! And all the blocks! I am a big Bonnie Hunter fan, and love her block. Also the Sunblock — we have had such a gray winter and spring, so that burst of sunshine makes me smile!

Love Bonnie Hunters block, as I could use up a lot of scraps. Actually there are a lot of the blocks I would like to try.. It would be fun to make a sampler quilt, It may have to be a big sampler quilt though!!

ok, was flipping through this blog, have so much to do, stayed up half the night designing a wallhanging for July quilt show here, when I saw the “sunblock”. OMG, I just HAVE to make this! I have never foundation pieced in my life, but at 59, guess I will have to learn. I know I will not get this block out of my mind….awesome

There were so many but I loved the Sunblock that Eileen Fowler created, especially in the scrap version. One of the bloggers suggested a sampler quilt made with blocks from the magazine and I just love that Idea because I can’t pick just one.
It is killer hard to pick just one block, but the one that’s sticking out to me today is Pink Lemonade. I’m addicted to hexagons!

There are several blocks that I really like on this tour. For today it’s Eileen’s block, absolutely beautiful!
I love Konda Luckau’s block. I’m more of a piecer than an appliquer, so I was also struck by Bonnie Hunter’s block. They really appeal to me. And I can’t forget Monica. Now that’s the way I want to do hexes!

A lot to choose from today….almost have to pick them all. Scott Hansen, Bonnie Hunter and Pat Sloan are hard to beat, though.
I’m a big fan of Bonnie Hunter, but I can’t decide which I like better – her Winston Ways or that Sunblock by Eileen Fowler. They are both pretty great.
So many blocks to love! I really love applique and there are several that really caught my eye. I’d have to say so far Lynette Anderson’s is still my favorite!
Thanks for the preview of the new 100 blocks. What I like is seeing the variety in the blocks as it gives me inspiration for new blocks I want to do with the stash in my house. The blocks with floral motifs – like Rose of Sharon blocks are great.
I very much like the block Splinters and Threads. Love the colors and design. The variety of blocks is great. Such an inspiration.

They are all so good. Of course I am partial to Bonnie Hunter. But the rubber duckie by whimsical ways looks like it will be perfect for my nephew-to-be.
I just love all the different blocks created by so many talented quilters. It inspires me to go right to my sewing machine!
Love the new magazine! You know I have to buy a copy. I’m at the halfway mark of 50 blocks I’ve made from volume 2. I enjoy these magazines. Keep them coming!

My favorite block is still Susan Geddes’ Sunnyside Up block…it’s cheerful and whimsical, and I really liked her block from the previous issue too!

I’ve never gotten into applique, but Sharon Pederson’s block is so gorgeous I need to try that one, even if I only make one for a beautiful accessory pillow!
I love Monica Solaria-Snow’s hexagon block and the Sunblock by Eileen Fowler. I love, love, love hexagons, and the starburst block’s colors are perfect, yet would be gorgeous is any jewel tones.

Bonnie Hunter’s blocks and quilts have a ‘bountiful’ number of pieces but they are always fabulous. “Winston Ways” is no different–LOVE IT!
I am enjoying this so much! It is the first thing I head to on the computer daily at the moment! I am still thinking my fav block so far is by Julie H. from jaybird.
Today scraps win out as the block that I keep returning to is that of Bonnie Hunter – Winston Ways. I really like the many ways this block can be set in a quilt.

Since incorporating Bonnie’s scrap saver system, I am always anxious to try her patterns since the pieces are already waiting. Winston Ways makes for a very clever looking quilt as do the other contributors blocks. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!! Matilda
Wow. SO many awesome blocks and each day it gets harder to choose a favorite. I keep going back and forth trying to decide which is my favorite. I can say that my number 1 yesterday has been bumped down to number 2 after seeing Gina Redlin’s block at Splinters and Threads Musings. I am not seeing the name of her block anywhere so I can’t give that but the block is awesome. That’s definitely my favorite as of this minute.
I’ve seen lots of great blocks in the tour. My favourite today is Pink Lemonade by Monica Solorio-Snow.
I’m having a hard time picking a favorite. I love scrapppy, so I guess Bonnie Hunter’s would be my pick!

I love Winston Ways by Bonnie Hunter as it encourages me to get out my scraps and make the block.
All the blocks are terrific. I really like Laura’s Rose Garden Block because I enjoy making quilts that give the illusion of curves (since I’m a little inexperienced in actually sewing curves).
rally, this is such a difficult choice! I really love Pat Sloan’s block. I can’t imagine making it, but I think it’s absolutely wonderful because it takes a traditional design and updates it with color and style. so creative!

I was taken by Julie Herman’s block the other day and also Bonnie Hunter’s block. I like the secondary pattern that Bonnie’s block makes when put together.
Enjoyed ALL the great blocks and blog visits, but if I MUST pick … it would be SUNBLOCK by Eileen Fowler. Also love Pat Sloan’s and Bonnie Hunter’s. This is FUN, thanks!

I love “Sunblock”. I recently took a class from Carol Doak and fell in love with how easy foundation piecing can be.

being an artist by profession, of course so many of the blocks appeal to me, by color and design, but I confess to being a scrap junkie, so of course Bonnie Hunter’s Winston Ways is my choice
They are all awesome, but Winston Ways is my favorite. this is so much fun can’t wait to see more.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the sunblock patch. Probably because my favorite color is yellow, and it enhances the color wonderfully! Not to mention, I have become on of the paper-piecing addicts.
So far my favorite is Spinning Star by Lynn Roddy Brown, love the drama of the red.
