Linda recently commented on QM’s Facebook page, “This issue of Quiltmaker (May/June ’11) is my ‘so far FAVORITE!!’ I cannot wait to make the cover pattern, and at least 2 others in it. I have been getting this magazine for the longest time and it remains my very favorite.” Thanks Linda, I too think this is an absolutely beautiful issue!
I know we’ve been talking about the May/June ’11 issue for a while—it started shipping to subscribers two weeks ago. We want to have all the web content referenced in an issue ready by the time the first subscriber receives her copy. We revealed the Scrap Squad quilts, launched the Secret Window Mystery Quilt-Along, are giving away autographed copies of Bonnie Hunter’s new book, and have shown you how the Patch Pal borders swap. I think some people may have been looking for this issue in stores a little bit early. This issue is now available for purchase at local quilt shops and on newsstands if you’re not a subscriber.
You can find Quiltmaker at Barnes & Noble, Borders, JoAnn, Hobby Lobby, some Walmarts and many grocery stores. If your local store doesn’t stock many issues, you’ll want to look quickly for this one. If you can’t find it in a local store, ask the manager where you’d like to purchase it to add Quiltmaker to their newsstand.
Of course, the surest way of getting every Quiltmaker issue (usually before it appears on newsstands) is to subscribe.
Watch for another post in the near future where I’ll explain the journey that each issue takes from the printer to your mailbox.
Preview the May/June ’11 table of contents on our website and let me know in the comments here what project you want to make!

That is so funny! I have been looking for it everytime I go into a store. I guess now I will find it, LOL!! I will remember this next time.
OH my gosh! All these posts about the May/June 11 issue are making me rush to my mailbox every single day. I cannot wait for mine to get here so I can see what fun is in this issue based on the posts for the past week or more about that issue. *sigh*
I’m definitely planning on Lady of Lake Erie…not to mention of course Secret Window! Sandi
