An energetic young team heads up one of our sister publications over at Sew News. In 2011, they’re promoting Sew Your Support: Operation Alzheimer’s Prevention, an effort to raise $5000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. A quilt auction will be held on March 2 and you’re invited to participate. Sew News has partnered with Quilters Newsletter to provide a free, quick, easy 32″ x 40″ quilt pattern called Fond Memories, perfect for this occasion.

Fond Memories designed by Angie Hodapp is a free pattern.
You can see some of the quilts that have already been donated. Congratulations to Sew News on this great project!

I JUST READ ABOUT THE QUILTS THAT ARE ABOUT TO BE AUCTIONED OFF FOR PROCEEDS TO GO TO ALZHEIMERS. MY MOTHER HAS ALZHEIMERS. THIS IS A HORRIFIC DISEASE. ANYONE ELSE THAT HAS GONE THROUGH CARE FOR THEIR LOVED ONE UNDERSTANDS. I THINK THIS AUCTION IS AWESOME. WE HAVE GOT TO FIND A CURE. I INTEND TO MAKE THIS QUILT AND SUBMIT IT FOR AUCTION. I HOPE THERE IS A BIG RESPONSE TO THIS EFFORT. LOVING CARETAKER.
I DID NOT REALIZE THE AUCTION WAS MARCH 2. THANKS FOR ALLOWING ME TO EXPRESS MY APPRECIATION FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE AND FOR LETTING ME SHARE WITH YOU. LOVING CARETAKER.
