Grrrr….guess what my local Barnes and Noble did NOT have today???
I received my winning copy today – thank you all so very much !
I love the Westminster placemats. Quick and fun, and pretty too.
I bought mine today @ Hancocks 280! Love it!
Barnes and Noble here I come!!!
I found the issue at the local Borders this past week. Finally had time to browse through it last nite, and LOVED it! Lots of favorite designers and lots of great ideas to use the blocks. Thanks for another great issue!
I’ve traveled afar to find an issue – none at Wal-Mart or JoAnns or LQS. grrr
I love the star place mat – Thanks for the free patterns!
Hi,
I won an issue of the first edition of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks and truly enjoyed the magazine. I must have read/scanned that magazine at least 20 times but I didn’t make one single block. There were definitely some great, unique blocks included but I didn’t follow through with my plan to make a few blocks at least for one quilt. I was fortunate to win one of the designer blocks but I need to find the “perfect” place to use it.
This year I purchased Volume 2 from a local store. Again, the blocks were awesome and I am thoroughly enjoying this magazine too. Then the dreaded thought popped into my head “I bet this will end up like the last issue without any blocks made.” That’s when I challenged myself to make all the blocks within a year. My goal is to make two blocks per week. If I fall behind, I’ll play catch up, but the goal is the same, to have all the blocks made within a year. I started my journey November 15th.
I posted this crazy challenge on my blog, Teaquilts, and have two participants willing to travel with me. So far we have made four blocks with two scheduled for this week. By clicking on the appropriate links on the page I’ve pointed you to, you can see the blocks we have made so far. In addition to making the blocks, I’m also giving contact information for the designers websites.
I hope you will follow my journey through Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Volume 2. I just hope I don’t get too distracted when you publish Volume 3.
