I actually subscribe (through my reader) to Patchwork Times. I love the free patterns she offers, and especially the binding tutorial! I am a new quilter (extremely new) and I really struggled with binding, and finally found a video that makes sense to me! I can’t wait to try it! I love this blog, and hope everyone will go visit and check it out, so that they can love it, too!
So, I’m really disappointed! I can’t sign in because I don’t live in the U.S. or Canada! It would be so much fun to take part in this.
Hi Susan,
I’m not sure what you read but the giveaways are open to everyone! We’d love to have you participate. Occasionally, contests are open to U.S. and Canadian readers only, but we’ll always make it clear when that’s the case, and we always have a compelling reason. Whenever possible, we want to include quilters from as many parts of the world as we can. We love having international participants!
Great pattern and choice of fabrics to create it.-Maywood Blossom.
I fell in love with the Red Rooster Pattern of the Old Fashioned Santa. I am going to try and make it before THIS christmas…I’ll need lots of lock. Their site is fabulous.
I love to read Patchwork Times, so much so I feel I know Judy and her family. I take much inspiration and feel greatly encouraged by reading her blog.
I’m going down the list trying to visit all the listed websites and blogs. So interesting! I particularly like the Patchwork Times site with the free patterns. I’m always inspired by looking at patterns and Judy has some nice ones! I’ve put a couple on my ever growing “to do” list.
I would love to attend a retreat at gatewayquiltsnstuff there are tables that are actually large enough to make something!!! Thanks for the chance to win!
Thanks for introducing me to a few new-to-me blogs, some of which I’ve added to my reader. Really enjoyed In the Doghouse Designs for the bright colors and upbeat tone of the blog. Love the poodle skirt!
I love the modern quilts at quilt nectar! So simple and amazing!
I love Judy L’s block, Fiesta Sunset. It makes such a beautiful quilt.
Thanks!
Judy
I always love how a design will have secondary designs in it – the colors are perfect for fall and look like they’d fit in a mountain cabin beautifully!
My comment was for the Antler Quilts Focal Point design
I visit Patchwork Times every morning–Judy is giving away a copy of Quiltmakers 100 Blocks tomorrow!!
Robin Koehler: nestlingsbyrobin.blogspot.com is my favorite designer. First because I love the fact that she showed so many options and secondly, because I love paper piecing. Judy L’s Fiesta Sunset is my second favorite because I just love her blog and patterns.
wow! The modern quilts at Craft Nectar are AMAZING! Love her color choices!!!
I visited them all but my fav is patchworktimes because Judy understands the need to eat yummy things in order to nurture mental creativity !
I always enjoy visiting Red Rooster’s Website, amazing selection of fabrics and patterns!!
Red Rooster always is a very interesting place to visit and see the fabulous selection of fabric and patterns.
I read Judy L’s every day.. or several times a day. Now I’ll add this to my list… YIPPEE.
I am visiting new blogs via your invitation. They are all so wonderful and creative. SuszQuilts was new to me, and I loved her sweet quilt patterns. Thanks for this new edition of 100 Blocks. Can’t wait to see it!
I enjoye Judy L.’s site. She has design wall Mondays which provides a great blog tour each week. Her post today was another reminder that the QM’s tour starts today. Great 1st magazine and I’m looking forward to my copy of the 2nd edition.
Some of these blogs I’ve visited before some are new to me
Thank you
I particularly enjoyed Susan Marth’s blog
Gill
I like Judy L.’s site! Lots of quilts and talk!
Loved the “Are we there yet” fabric at Maywood
I am a long time follower of Judy L’s blog, but I really enjoyed going to each of the blogs you featured today.
I love visiting Red Rooster Fabrics – the patterns set my mind to thinking about future projects. And the fabrics – wow, my favorite styles and so many to choose from!
I visited Gateway Quilts & Stuff because I was so intrigued by the block Nouveau Riche by Toby Lischko. Found another great block idea there using their Cutting Corners template set.
I visited everyone on today’s list and had lots of fun seeing people I’ve already “met” and also “meeting” some new friends.
Linda Lum DeBono’s blog was fun to visit. I love how her boys are quilting too.
This is so exciting! I can’t wait to get a copy of this magazine. What a great idea to do a blog hop…my favorite was Robin’s blog entry because she showed so many colourways of her block and so many different settings. Blog #3 didn’t have any entry up yet…I’ll go back later.
I tried a few different blogs, since I already follow some of the designers on Facebook and felt that would be “cheating”. One I went to, Rebecca’s, and was impressed by how elegant her pieces where simply by her color choice.
I am going to try some colors out of my comfort “color wheel” and see if I can’t create something more elegant. I tend to go fro bright colors and kid friendly patterns.
I have just been to Linda Lum DeBono’s blog, I loved seeing her kids helping arrange the blocks, and her new fabric line – yum!!
Just came over from Judy Laquidara at patchworktimes.com
Love her blog — not just for the quilting, but also for the chickens, her husband and her recipes.
Judy from Patchwork Times is one of my very favorite. Love to hear about Chad, Vince, and of course Ruby….And especially Judy. Love her quilting and cooking indeas, they really give me inspiration!
I visited Doug Leko. Hadn’t been there before. Love his block and the extra instructions he posted there.
I got here from Patchwork Times. I follow Judy’s blog. I hate to miss one of her posts, whether it’s about her chickens, family, cooking or, yes even quilting. One of these days I’m going to be in a position to follow along when she does a quilt an hour or a mystery quilt — it just hasn’t happened yet.
I love all the links given and was able to book markseveral I want to keep up with! Patchwork Times seems to be one of the favorites!
I visited Judy L’s website this morning to see her block. I am looking forward to seeing all the blocks. I bought the last magazine and refer to it often.

This book looks like it will be lots of fun. I visited all the websites on the list and enjoyed looking at all. I especially enjoyed patchwork times. Thanks
I couldn’t resist taking a quick peek at all the above sites and bookmarked several to visit again. They all had such greta patterns and advice, it’s hard to choose just one. The story on Patchwork Times about the not-perfect house really grabbed my attention because my son and dil have been looking at houses so Patchwork Times is my choice…today!
I visit Judy Laquierda`s site every day.Love it Also viit Nancy Mahoney some.
Looking forward to this magazine.
Wow – your very own quilting retreat centre! Saw that on Toby’s blog (Gateway Quilts and Stuff) and started drooling. Hope they get moved in quickly!….all that empty space calling out for fabric….
Nancy Mahoney’s website was fantastic. I had never been to her website before so it was a real treat…all those freebie patterns!
I loved all of the websites… but I think my favorite block for today was Craft nectar’s… wow.. how great is that!
I went to Susan Marth’s website and found her beautiful four patch applique block in browns and pinks to be just the ticket for my next quilt. This is so fun visiting all of these sites. So much information! So little time! Help!
loved the snowflake block – I have so many ideas for that block.
I enjoyed all the blogs, but especially liked Patchwork Times. Her question of “what was your favorite quilt?” reminded me that it was not the quest for perfection that made me quilt, but the look on the recipient’s face when they received it!
I LOVE Judy’s, Patchwork Times, blog. I am there everyday, often two or three times. Her designs are WONDERFUL. I am currently doing her Connect the Dot mystery.
I stopped by patchworktimes – Judy always has so many ideas to share and seems to be just a real person – not all wrapped up in herself
Came over from Judy L’s blog and will visit each of the other ones shown. I have the first issue of 100 blocks and would love to have this one too.
Love nestlingsbyrobin.blogspot.com – plan to try her paper piecing patterns.
I visited the Maywood Fabric Studios website. Really like the free quilt patterns and they have a great selection of fabric!
I read Judy’s blog every day and I get so much pleasure from watching the chickens and her hubby’s antics!

I checked out the blogs and was surprised to see men included (yeah! Quilt Dad for breaking the glass ceiling!). I especially liked Linda Lum DeBono’s block because it is a thoughtful reminder that a basic block can be made “yours” with fabric choices and a dash of creativity! Also, Bill/Weeks Ringle for the importance and beauty of color selection (don’t think I’ll ever get enough of this dynamic duo!)
I can’t wait to get my hands on this book! I adore everything that Bill and Weeks design, so it’s a treat to know that they’re included in this new volume.

I decided to check out a site that I was not familiar with and chose Antler Designs. It’s deer hunting season here in MN so there are reminders of same every where one goes for the next couple weeks (we live in a small country town). Doug’s block actually made me think of deer antlers. It was interesting how the star developed in the center of his quilt. Thanks for the blog tour! I’ll be looking for the 100 Blocks issue later this week when I head out to go shopping.
I enjoyed all the blogs,And really liked Nancy Mohoneys site. Thanks for the op.to win and learn about new sites.

I love Linda Lum Debono’s new Hugs and Kisses line of fabric. Such a fun line and seeing it made into a block makes me want it even more!
I checked out Deborah’s blog, as that’s my name, also. She had some gorgeous quilts, and I loved her “doghouse” skirt, in place of the “poodle” skirt. I have 2 “granddogs”, but none myself.
Sounded like she had a great time in Houston!
It’s great to have the links to the block’s designers and see all their work.

I read Judy L.’s blog everyday. I visited all of them and added 6 or 7 of them to my favs. I like going to all the blogs and seeing the different styles ….

Love this website, I always find a design I’m looking for and the value is fantastic. I calculate the exchange rate from Australian to American dollars and at the moment the fatquarter packs cannot be beaten here in Aussie land. Keep up the great work guys, all our patchwork group are spreading the word.
We’re so very glad to hear from Aussie land! Thank you for spreading the word on behalf of Quiltmaker and 100 Blocks!
Enjoyed seeing Craft Nectar and learning they have a new book coming out! Have been a fan of theirs for awhile. Am so eager to see Volume 2 & I’m still enjoying Volume 1.
I visited Judy’s Patchwork Times blog. Love her block, and all the stories she shares with us.
I was at Judy’s Patchwork Times blog to get inspiration from her design wall posting on Mondays. It was there that I found your blog. Love it!
I really like the Maywood block applique design. It is so hard to choose a favorite. I like Antler designs as well. I enjoy seeing how he uses the block in a wall hanging.
I read Judy’s blog at Patchwork Times every day so that is where I started today! Can’t wait until the magazine comes out or until I win one!
I really love Kimberley Jolly’s red and white quilt square; Absolutely beautiful. I’m partial to red and white quilts for some reason. This vol. 2 magazine is exciting; can’t wait to see it.
Craft Nectar really caught my eye and my attention. I love how Weeks Ringle/Bill Kerr talked about the challenge of making a single block since they always think about how blocks relate to each other. The block they created actually looks likes a mini quilt. Then when you see how the block looks depending upon the setting it is just amazing. I’m looking forward to seeing each designer’s website this week!
I visit Patchwork Times every day…love her site! She’s who brought me here.
I just love Susan Martin`s “flake block/quilt.Would love to make it .
Suzn Quilts recently released some new patterns that I just love. Her designs are very doable and fun. I had never seen her work before and am very glad I found her through this tour. Her block design for the magazine is perfect for this time of year!
I loved the Patchworktimes blog. Lots of inspiration for this newbe. Thank you for the chance to win this book. What a great book.
Loved the Maple Wood Blossom pattern
I am an avid reader of Patchwork Times. Judy is just the best conversationalist quilt blog around. I really enjoyed some of the new-to-me blogs particularly Weeks Ringle/Bill Kerr and seeing some designs from their new book
I liked Susan Marsh’s blog best although I like them all. I’m excited about the chance to win one of the books. I get the most inspiration from Quiltmaker on a regular basis, and especially like the special editions like this.
Wow, I have to pick just one? I love the paper piecing and the curved seams and the triangles and all of the colors the designers picked. I have a terrible time choosing colors that go well together and am learning so much from each of the sites so far. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Only one?? I’m a regular at Linda Lum Debonos. She always has something wonderful going on. Can’t wait to get my hands on the new magazine!!
I’ve been visiting the Fat Quarter Shop’s blog daily for the past few months and especially the past week to read all the reports from Quilt Market. They had great market updates showing all the wonderful things we have to look forward to very soon.
Just adore Nancy Mahoney’s Sunburst block. She is a quilter after my own heart. That block would look fantastic using any range of fabrics from any era and it has such impact and definately the WOW factor!
Just got home from a busy day, going to catch up on the sites now. Can’t wait to see them!
This was my first visit to Robin Koehler’s site; her quiltblock banner caught my eye, and I had to peruse more of her blog. I would like to develop skills in art quilting, and Robin looks to be a fine source for inspiration and education!
I love to check Patchwork Times a few times each day to see what Judy is doing. I love her free patterns and her Mysteries. Her recipes are tantalizing too. Go check her site out.
What fun – great links – first time checking this our – Red Rooster gets my vote – - ummm also others but start at the top./
Wow, that’s looks like a jam-packed issue – and so much diversity! I checked out Judy’s Patchwork Place. Thanks so much!
I love Nancy Mahoney’s Sunburst block. I can’t wait to get a copy of 10o blocks.
I’ve checked out each of these sites and every one is unique. I really enjoyed seeing the sons of Linda Lum DeBono making their quilts. Antler Quilt Design – the focal block is a favorite. Though I’m a piecer, the applique appealed to me. There is no way I could pick a favorite from these 11 designers’ blocks. Thanks for this blog tour. I want to look at the next set of blocks already!
Thanks so much for publishing this new magazine! I loved the first volume and am anxiously awaiting the second volume. I visited all the blogs. I particularly liked Toby Lischko’s block. Again, thank you!
So many wonderful ideas. I want to try them all. Antler designs and Patchwork Times are great places to start
Woops, sorry I don’t know how to edit out the last comment I made. Robin Koehler’s blog was my favorite. I’ve really been into paper piecing lately and her soybean field story and inspiration block was very cool. Her examples of quilts and turned around blocks were great. Also new to me were the Weeks/Ringles blog which inspired me to put their book on my wish list and Nancy Mahoney’s sunburst star, oh and Toby L having hints on curved piecing. Looking forward to that as well.
I was especially intrigued by Toby Lischko’s curves and by Weeks Ringle’s block that I never would have thought of as a block. Good fun and lots of interesting blogs.
Love last years magazine, can’t wait to get the new one. Would love to be a lucky winner. I love the fatquartershop blog they are awesome.
I’ve visited all of today’s block designers. This blog idea is very clever to get us all rubbing our hands together in anticipation of November 16th. In the past year I’ve become a regular follower of JudyL’s PatchworkTimes site. Now I’ve got some new sites to consider in future projects. I’ll be checking out Toby’s GatewayQuiltsnStuff site to learn more about her curve piecing technique.
I checked out Maywood Studio Fabric. I’ve been looking for some coordinating fabrics to make my son a lap quilt. He said he likes blue, tan and browns and I found some excellent choices here.
“Heart & Home Flannel MASHAHFCA, ”
“Heart & Home Flannel Shadow Play Coordinates MASHAHFSPCA”
And…I like these best of all in this combination: “Are We There Yet? MASAWTYCA”
Maywood Studio Fabric: http://www.maywoodstudio.com
WOW! I’ve sat here and read all these comments to my husband we’re both dancing for joy. I had no idea anyone was leaving comments here and about my blog. You’ve all made me very happy! : )
I read Patchwork Times every day, have learned a lot from Judy, but have found Antler Quilt Designs as a new favorite!
I would love a copy of the magazine! So much inspiration abounds. I visit the fatquartershop blog and lindalumdebono blog. I will be visiting more now! Thanks for a chance to win.
I’ve added many new sites to my reader but I am totally charmed and inspired by Linda Lum DeBono! This is so much fun! Thanks.
I love the Craft Nectar, they give you so many ways to do their block for someone like me who is very much a pattern follower it is great to have those options.
I follow several of the blogs listed and enjoy each of them so much. I am especially fond of Patchwork Times. Judy keeps us hopping with Stash Busting on Sunday and Design Walls on Monday.
Wow! What inspiration! Ideas for different colorways from Nestlings by Robin, for example. This is FUN!
Such fun to visit some new blogs. I really liked the Angel food pattern by Willow Hill quilts.
Lots of great blogs listed!! I enjoyed Toby’s and the curved quilts! I am also drawn to them, but still a tad intimidated with them! Perhaps those quilts will push me into making more.
Enjoyed browsing the blogs. I particularly like the work of Rebecca @ Willow Hill .
I like the block from Gateway Quilts, and I’m especially intrigued by her technique for curved piecing since I have no experience in that. Can’t wait to see the other featured designers!
I visited linda lum debono’s blog. I loved seeing how she shares her joy for quilting with her children. Also, I loved her her block made with her newly designed fabric which is HAPPY!
I love Linda Lum DeBono’s block and enjoyed seeing her son use the design wall for his quilt layout!
love Nancy’s design as stars have always been my favourite design basis
I hope I still make it! I love all of today’s designers!
It would be a challenge to me but that applique flower on In the Doghouse designs has me fascinated.
Love Judy’s blog Patchwork Times. So entertaining and creative!
Antler Creek designs was my favorite although it was hard to pick from this first collection of blocks
I hate to pick one blog because all of the bloggers had great designs and lovely blogs. I did love the header on Nestlings by Robin. That quilt is a stunner.
I visited craftnectar and two others, but I really liked the block on craftnectar. They are already in my Google reader, but I am a little behind. Their block was so soothing to look at, I just fell in love with it, the blues, the symmetry of the lines, it’s great!!
Oh myyyyy!!!!, this place’s crowded already :’(, I’d love to have the chance to win your marvelous magazine or the gifties, but it’s full!!!!, well I had my eyes peeled, sorry I mean I was watching some of the block party and I saw Linda Lum DeBono, her block’s 139, and the name’s Hugs & Kisses, love the color of it
I visited everyone and became followers of quite a few. My favorite is In the Doghouse’s block Maywood Blossom – I am imagining a wallhanging with that block in different color combinations!

I liked Judy Laquidara’s blog post about the trials and tribulations of getting her block done for the magazine! I laughed when I read that she had a big piece of the fabric she needed IN HER CAR! I’ve thought of unique places to store fabric, but that isn’t one of them!
I visited Craft Nectar and loved the simple but colorful block displayed there.
I really liked how Robin Koehler’s block looked so different in the various layouts she showed.
I visited Linda’s site and love her new fabric.
I visited Craft Nectar and love their simple modern block that can be used in different ways. I’m a regular of Fat Quarter Shop’s blog too and excited to see their block!

I love the block & quilt shown on the Antler Quilt Design Blog.
I subscribe to craftnectar.com. I love their simple, yet elegant quilts, and enjoy the stories about their family.
Judy Laquidara’s Design Wall Monday feature is really fun! Seeing the quilting projects people are working on was like going to a quilt show while sitting in my easy chair!
I don’t know how anyone can choose from all these wonderful blocks. I think that my next quilt will have to incorporate every block so however big 100 blocks makes, that will be the size of the quilt. Now, for the fabric choices. hmmmm
Just visited Doug Leko’s blog at Qntler Quilt Design. Really REALLY liked his table topper bonus pattern for his Focal Point block. Love how the design comes together as a star in the center.
I visited “In the dog house Designs”. Love the name, fantastic applique and some Houston too! Great site.
Loving all that I see but I really like the Civil War block on Susan’s block. I have never seen civil war done so cute!
I’m a fairly new quilter and love making tablerunners and small wallhangings because I have limited sewing area to work on. Have working on several Red Rooster projects, I love their fabric line and they fit so well for every project.
I really enjoyed looking at lindalumdebueno’s website. She has really cute ideas and I love her fabric….
Picking one sight is very hard for me because each one was great!! The one design that I like the best is Maywood Blossom by Debrah Johnson is very clean lines and elegant which I really like for flowers. Thank you for the chance at a book it is exciting!!
I visited all of the blogs, but my favorite was Willowhill Quilts. I’ve just started working with wool, and this is an INCREDIBLE site – just beautiful!! Another bookmarked favorite. I also loved that Rebecca’s daughter created the site for her <3
I LOVE LOVE Judy Laquidara’s block AND her website!
Picking just one was so hard but the colors Judy used made the block POP.
Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Jolly Jabber is one of my favorites! And I was excited to see she had a new little one!
I liked Nancy Mahoney’s blog.
This is my first time visiting others blogs, and they are all lovely, each one uniquie and everyone is so talented. The one that stood out for me was Craft Nectar. The modern quilts there just made me ooh and ahh.

Weeks Ringle & Bill Kerr of FunQuilts are my absolute favorites!!!

I enjoyed reading all the web sites, I do read Patchwork Times on a regular basis as she always has beautiful quilts and blocks to show, along with interesting blogging. It is so wonderful to see all the creativity in each web site. There are several that are going to become a regular read with me now.
I’m a regular reader of Judy’s Patchwork Times . I get such a kick out of her. I always enjoy her pretty quilts, especially her creativeness with borders. I had fun seeing new to me designers on this little hop, what a group of wonderful talent out there.
Something about the block design “No Ordinary Flake” in Suzn Quilts caught my creative eye! But they’re all rather fun and interesting.
I have visited a few of these blogs before but I loved reading some new ones too.
Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy of the magazine. I love the snowflake block and the sunburst block. I also enjoyed looking at Linda’s blog- complete with your son’s participating and enjoying quilting.

I visited all of the links listed and some were new to me! They were all great! I especially liked “craftnectar.com”. They have a new book out! and I am liking the color scheme of their block — just my colors! I may try to reproduce that block, but not in solid colors.
I love focal point! Doug makes some awesome patterns on antler quilt design!
I loved visiting the Red Rooster… so many fun patterns to choose from!
I enjoy Judy Laquidara’s blog. She tells great stories about her quilts and her life. Love the chicken tales.
I love spending Monday mornings with Patchworktimes. There’s a great list of bloggers that show and tell what’s on their design walls. It’s a great way to get inspired for the week. And did you see Linda Lum DeBono’s, of dzyning things, block? It’s very cute and so are her boys!
Just love to read about Judy’s life at The Patchwork Times. Always interesting. So gererous with her time and patterns. Keep up the good work
Cheers Edith
My favorite block was definitely Nouveau Riche by Toby Lischko. One glance was all it took to fill me with inspiration, and now I just really want to try my hand at sewing those lovely curves.
I visited Weeks Ringle & Bill Kerr site. I love their work and was excited to hear that they have a new book coming out. I am going to try to make their open house.
The instructions for sewing curves at Toby Lischko: gatewayquiltsnstuff.blogspot.com are very clear and easy to follow.
I loved visiting all the links. Enjoyed to get to know Linda LumdeBono and find it so great that she teaches her kids to quilt!

I have just been reading “In the Doghouse” blog and just love the block in the book of the red flower . I am not big on floral, but just love this refreshing approach – I would love to have this gorgeous book just for this block. Am sure the whole book would have so many gorgeous designs to drewl over.
I visited a couple of shops but really proved I’m electronically challenged. I was doing ok until Facebook and Blogs came along. I don’t tweet or twitter–I’ll leave that for the birds. I’m just lucky I can use a cell phone.
I like any visit to the Fat Quarter Shop, love the blog that keeps my updated on my favorite shop.
Having fun reading all of the blogs. Love that block from WillowHill Quilts. Looks rich and cozy at the same time. Thanks for a chance to win!!
This has been an amazing experience and is what designing is all about for me. Thank you to Quiltmaker for having my block in their publication and thank you to everyone who stopped by. I hope you will come back soon.
Have a wonderful Holiday Season.
i enjoyed reading patchworktimes–i am new at quilting but i seem to have more fabric than i will ever need–and keep promising only to buy patterns to use up the stash but it never seems to happen–I too keep saying no more fabric until next year–but I know the moment I start reading blogs and visiting sites more fabric will be joining my stash!!!
I love Red Roosters fabric especially Heart and Soul. Can’t wait to make something out of it.
Judy’s blog (Patchwork Times) is super. She is not only a wonderful quilter but a tremendous story teller. I check daily just to see what she is whipping up in her kitchen or what her chicken, Ruby is up to. And then there is Vince, green shirt and all. I enjoy her “What’s on My Design Wall” featured every Monday. It is so nice to see what all the bloggers are creating and it is an opportunity to do it all in one place. Her blog is a lot of work for her but a lot of enjoyment for us.
I love Doug’s antler quilt design. I think it would make neat secondary patterns in a quilt.
I really like Toby Lischko’s black goblet block that she designed for your block book
Visited so of blogs yesterday and this morning all are great

I enjoyed Nancy Mahoney’s website, she had some really nice free patterns there, lots of ideas.
I enjoy JudyL. Patchwork Times blog.
Love patschworktimes. She talks about so much things… her last post about having too much yarn and fabric is lovely. She also loves, like me, madelinetosh yarn. So I love her……

I like Suznquilts idea about writing on the selvage where and when you bought your fabric.
