abc quilt

What I loved about ABC Quilt, July/August ‘07 (No. 116), was the soft, feminine look. However, I was a bit disappointed when my niece told me that she didn’t want pink; she wanted ladybugs! I decided to adapt it to fit her decorating scheme and was very happy with the results, especially the “ladybugs” along the border.

ramblin’ aunt sukey
I snatched up the Jan/Feb ‘08 issue (No. 119) after spotting Marti Michell’s Ramblin’ Aunt Sukey quilt on the cover. My version was made for my dear friend’s 60th birthday. I loved the Quilting in Sections method and have sewn four other larger quilts using this technique.
