Drawing pieced blocks in EQ7, using EasyDraw, is like drawing with pencil on graph paper. Unlike graph paper, you can customize the grid you draw on.

To use the Grid tool to draw the basic grid lines of the Flight of Fancy block, follow the steps below:

1. Make sure the block width and height are set at 18”.
2. Click on the Grid tool to select it.
   
3. Click the red box in the corner to bring up the Grid Setup box.
   
   
4. For the Flight of Fancy block, set your numbers to 3x3 then click and drag from the top left corner to the bottom right corner to set the grid.
5. Click the red box again to change the Grid Setup to 2x2.
6. Now click and drag a new grid inside each corner square.
7. Use your Line tool to divide the middle squares into rectangles.
